This was a great stay for our family! Beautiful cabin inside and out. Had everything you would need to have a good stay! The outdoor deck with the fireplace was absolutely wonderful!

Relaxing visit

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of five (three kids) loved it here. We come every fall and stay in Powder House. I found this house to be especially cozy and inviting. We made lots of meals here and I appreciated the kitchen- seemed to have a lot more “extras” such as spices, foil, etc. The game room was fun for the kids and having an attached bathroom with each bedroom was a treat. This would really be the ideal rental for couples coming together. There was ping pong in the garage which was so fun with the teenager. Surprise hit. Community pool was used and was walkable. I love the location of this house. The front and back is really private. Lots of trees and “woodsy” feel in the back which I loved. Was our favorite of the five or so houses we’ve rented in the past at Powder House. Thank you for the lovely stay. Our usual: Pizza Lab heading into town in Central City, breakfast at That Place in Lead with hanging out at the Library in Lead(Children’s area so fun). Thank you for opening your house up to us. I slept like a rock there too. House has a good vibe and feel to it.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving getaway at the Hideout! The house was incredibly comfortable and had such a cozy, inviting atmosphere that we felt at home the moment we walked in. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, cook together, and enjoy the holiday, and every room was thoughtfully prepared. The location was perfect—quiet and scenic, yet just a short drive to all the charm and history of Deadwood. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the holiday and would love to return!

Great place to stay for the whole family!!

Hot tub, game room, lots of space with a great community room as well. Did some swimming in the heated pool while it was snowing!!

Family vacation

We absolutely loved it, we had our first family vacation with our grown children and it was perfect for us. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom and we loved the house and location!

Perfect cabin for a family get together

The cabin itself was perfect, with every room, having their own attached bathroom, it made it so easy to all have your own space and privacy, while also being able to enjoy each other’s company in the main rooms! The decor in this cabin is top notch. So aesthetically pleasing will definitely be back!

Great for large groups

This house is great for large groups because it has multiple places for people to gather. We really enjoyed the outdoor area by the fireplace. The home is located in a neighborhood but it is on the edge so no one is behind you so you feel like you are in a forest. Some of the downstairs towels were a little worn and rough but overall home is stocked well! Would definitely stay again.

Great stay

The property had just enough room for our group of 12 (4 adults and 8 kids). It was the perfect size and the game room was a great place for the kids. The property was close to Terry Peak and Deadwood. Everything was clean and in great condition. As some other reviews have said, the basement was cooler especially at night.
