Week long retreat

Easy process, beautiful cabin, amazing lake, calm many mornings and it looked like glass. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!!

Beautiful Getaway

This property is absolutely stunning! The view and the property are so relaxing and fully stocked with everything you could ever need. Communication was amazing!

Great stay

Very much enjoyed our time at cc49. Great communication, clean cabin that was well-stocked, beautiful lake. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing place

The pictures don’t do the view and property justice. This place was simply incredible. Additionally, the host was super nice and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough, 10/10!

This was one of our favorite vacations! I can't say enough wonderful things about CC49! It's perfection, and it was really difficult to leave. We hope to be back again sooner than later! Book this place immediately, you will not regret it.

Summer 2022, family vacation

Very nice home, close to other activities. Catching fish from the dock, was a nice plus for the kids. A sandy beach was a plus. Would stay there again.

When I imagined a Michigan cabin on the lake, this is exactly what I wanted. Beautiful and peaceful.

Came with 4 girl friends. Great house, clean, lake was beautiful! Had most conveniences we needed. Bring your own beach towels! We didn’t realized the bunk house was not attached. It’s above a detached garage - so consider that if coming with young kids.

Great cabin on peaceful lake!

Our family had a great time staying at CC49. Tom was very responsive to all questions before booking and very accommodating during the booking process. The cabin was just as advertised in the description and pictures. We had a great time and would recommend it to others. The beach area, lakeside fire pit, kayaks, and pontoons were all an added bonus.

Absolutely wonderful!!

Visiting with family for a much needed peaceful vacation and this place delivered! The house had absolutely everything you could possibly need and Tom was incredibly fast at responding to any questions I had. The boat was perfect for the 9 of us and the lake was calm and the kids loved swimming and playing. We will definitely be booking again!

CC49 lake house

The cabin was wonderful. We had 6 adults and 4 children and all fit comfortably during our stay. The fire pit area is beautiful and the kids loved having their own little “beach” to play in. The pontoon and kayaks were also great. We would love to return when it’s warmer. The host was very helpful answering any questions or concerns.

CC49 week with the changing leaves

Wonderful cabin, with log structure charm and coziness. Beautiful lakefront with chairs to sit and watch the sunrise, and the mist rising off the surface of the lake. Beautiful time of year to be there with autumn colors emerging. Very clean rooms and facilities. Pontoon boat was available but we didn't use it. Wished we could have stayed longer. Hope to return some day.

A great lake vacation home

We loved our stay at this home. It is nestled in the woods with a beautiful view of the lake. The owners have done a great job of keeping a cabin-like-feel in the home, but at the same time keeping it up-to-date with today’s modern sense of comfort. The kitchen was well equipped. And the home was clean. We had a great time using the boot and the kayaks. The owner was easy to reach and always polite and friendly. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

CC49 a very cozy retreat

This is a real gem. The cabin has a warm cozy charm in the front and a luxurious retreat in the back. Everyone really appreciated the actual log cabin and its ambiance. The owner's really made this a wonderful experience as everything we needed was available. The owners are super responsive and wonderful to work with. I cant wait to bring the family and kids with me next time. Minutes from superb trails, riding, biking and downtown traverse city. A must stay.

Girls Weekend Getaway!

We really enjoyed this place, there was 7 of us and plenty of space, everyone has a comfy bed to sleep in! House was clean, very well stocked with anything you could or might need- we cooked dinner one night and had all the necessary items to do so! Everything worked as stated and was just an overall joy and stay! We didn’t need for anything! Neighbors we met were friendly too! Lake was gorgeous, very clean, and fire pit and dock were very welcoming!

Wonderful location to relax and reset

Beautiful property close to TC but with a very 'up north' look and feel. Host Tom was great and communicated everything we needed to know in advance. We had a small gathering (6) of old friends and the property was perfect. Firepit on the lake was a perfect location to catch up. Didn't take the pontoon out but it appeared to be brand new. Most of us plan to bring their families back next year!

Family Get-Together at Rennie Lake

We had a get-together with family members from Michigan, Chicago and France. The location was quiet and views of the lake were idyllic. The cottage was spacious for adults and children and so great that each bedroom had a private bath and privacy. The cottage was well stocked with everything you could image, paper products, shampoos, laundry supplies, beach towels…felt like your own home. Lots of first time fishing for the little ones…they loved it! The pontoon and kayaks were a welcome feature and so well cared for. We’ve rented many cottages up north over the years and all agreed that CC49 met and even exceeded all our needs!!!

Unforgettable Stay

From Day 1 of renting CC49, Tom was very responsive. We came to Traverse City for a wedding about 30 minutes away from the property. The views of the water are stunning. The TV in the living room was super clear for watching college and NFL football games. The pontoon boat was great to relax in. The rooms were comfy. The kitchen has pretty much everything you can think of. The laundry room was stocked with laundry detergent, etc which we definitely needed from traveling cross country for 2 weddings in back to back nights. We loved the peace and quiet the area had to offer. We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks for making our stay great, Tom. You are an amazing host.

Look no further!

We generally hike twice a year at locations across the US, staying at VRBO’s. This was the very best, well appointed one ever. There were 4 adults, myself, husband, son and a friend. The master bedroom was perfect.; comfortable bed, plenty of closet space. No master bathroom, but a lovely a spacious one was very close by. Second bedroom with a queen bed was great as well. Upstairs is a loft with two beds. The stairs are quite steep going up, but our 30 something’s had no problems. The house is amazing. We cooked almost every night and there was nothing that we needed. Quality cookware and even some storage for leftovers. Lots of room for all us in the evenings. Huge television that we all thought was a mirror! Full size washer and dryer was great after a day of hiking. Outside was wonderful. Beautiful lake and each morning was just gorgeous at sunrise. Made a fire ions evening and enjoyed a full moon while roasting marshmallows. We did being our own water and glad we did. There is a bit of a sulfur smell that is ‘city folk’ are not used to. Great location for hiking across the area. Hiked up and down both sides of the bay , spent a rainy day at the wineries, spent a lovely day at Mackinac Island ( 2 hour drive, 20 min ferry), another at Sleeping Bear Dunes (1 hr 10 min drive). Great communication with Tom, had a few minor issues that he took care of promptly. I would definitely recommended this for a fantastic base camp for a group. Shout, you could stay there all day and have a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the view! If you are staying during a busy time, I recommend making reservations for dinner I if you are dining out well in advance, especially the places on Front Street. Take out pizza worked great when we couldn’t get a table Downtown.

Quiet and Cozy

Beautiful lake property that is close to Traverse City. Plenty of room and comfy beds. Well kept and VERY CLEAN!! Tom was great to work with and had great communication!!
