OIB Heaven-5BR Waterfront Canal Home, Private Pool, Newly Renovated, Near Beach

This is the perfect OIB home for your family vacation, any time of year. Located on the lower end of a canal toward beach - short 3 minute direct walk to the Raeford St. ADA-accessible beach access (no steps make it easy to transport all your beach gear).

New in 2023: Private heated swimming pool (11 ft x 20 ft; underdeck installation due to canal restrictions). We also have all new composite decking on the expansive decks overlooking the canal and made other updates.

EV charger for electric vehicles (Level 2) - no need to rely on the 1 public charger on the island!

This home has been recently renovated in 2021-23 with luxury finishes throughout. You’ll love the newly renovated kitchen, all new master bath with large tile shower, new granite counters in all bathrooms, and new 65” TV in the family room.

Enjoy the sunsets, waterfront views, and outdoor relaxation and dining from the 5 decks overlooking the canal, including a rooftop deck with views to the ocean and across OIB. Dock your boat (direct access to ICW) or use the included 4 kayaks.

Two of the 5 bedrooms are located on the main level, and the remaining three on the upper level. The 5 bedrooms can sleep up to 14 adults and children (2 king beds, 4 queen beds, 2 twin beds). 3 bedrooms have their own bathrooms, while 2 of the bedrooms share a 1.5 bathroom between them (ideal for families/children), with a powder room (1/2 bath) on the main level.

The kitchen is newly renovated and has everything you could need, including new appliances, indoor seating for 12 (8 at table, 4 at bar), and ample cookware and dinnerware.

The wifi/internet is high-speed (400mbps) and all TVs are new smart TVs with all of the apps you'd expect for use with your streaming accounts (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime, HBO+, Youtube TV). Use of our Youtube TV account is included for streaming local and cable channels (major networks, ESPN, etc.).

Another wonderful week renting this lovely home. Everything was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 children (ages 8-15) and the only downside was Mother Nature cut our stay short. The owner was incredibly communicative, kind and helpful and we look forward to staying here again next year!

Great house in a great location!

Best vacation we had in a long time. The house was better than described and the location was perfect. Just two blocks from the beach with almost no traffic going by the house. Would definitely recommend!

fabulous, the pool was a plus for a 7 & 2 yr old. it heated up to 91 degrees. We would suggest in the rt corner of the dining room a coffee bar for less people volume in the kitchen

Beautiful home!

Highly recommend! Home is beautiful and has plenty of room for all to spread out. We spent lots of time outdoors enjoying the main deck and pool. Loved the top deck and its full view for sunrise and sunsets. Enjoyed the kayaks and exploring the canals and intercoastal waterway. And the home was just a short walk to the beach! Jason was wonderful to work with and went out of his way to make sure we fully enjoyed our stay!

Fall Getaway

My family and I enjoyed our stay for a long weekend. I think the house is nicer than the pictures. I rented a golf cart but we really didn’t need it. We will definitely consider renting this house again.

Great house for our family

This property worked so well for our family. The house arrangement was great and really clean. There was a boat dock for our boat and the access to the beach was only several minutes. The new pool was great. The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Property!

This house will not disappoint! Second stay and we cannot wait to come back. Plenty of room for a big family, beautiful kitchen and master, and amazing deck space. Owners supply linens and there are three kayaks. Bonus this year was the addition pool!! Owners Jason and Mary Lindsay are very attentive, and have decorated beautifully. It was an amazing week!

Jason was very helpful in answering questions prior to our stay and during our stay we had no need to contact him because everything was perfect. The home was well stocked with everything you might need and beautifully decorated. Pool was small but very refreshing and clean. Dock was awesome . We brought our fishing boat. Execellent rental!

This house was perfectly suited for our party of 9. It was a generously stocked home with a lot of basic necessities provided. The owner was excellent and communicative. We enjoyed the canal immensely with fishing and boating and lots of pool time. Being situated by the accessible beach ramp was perfect for our specific needs. Our kids loved the board games supplied, especially learning magic tricks. This was a fantastic place to stay and would recommend it to all.!

Lovely place

This is a lovely place with nice updates, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and is well equipped. We enjoyed using the kayaks and like the newer looking dock. The beach cart was very handy to pull our belongings to the beach. We also enjoyed all of the decks, including the crows nest which can be accessed by an upstairs hallway. On a rainy day, we enjoyed the TV options. The owner is very responsive/responds quickly and is easy to work with.

Great week at OIB

We had a great time. The house was super clean. Crow's nest was an awesome view. Dock was great if you boat. Be careful at low tide walking down it (it can be slippery) Kitchen was well stocked and worked for us. We cooked almost all of our meals. Grill was great too. No problems! Thank you so much.

Couldn't be better

Another great vacation at OIB. This is our 2nd year at Jason's property. We couldn't wait to come back. It's perfect for a large family like ours. Bright, clean, well stocked and up to date. The multitude of decks is fabulous. A great place for morning coffee. And the crow's nest has amazing views of the area and is a perfect spot for watching the sunset. Love the proximity to the beach. The beach cart and chairs were a huge bonus. My family fished from the kayaks every morning and from the dock in the evening. The pool was a great addition to an already near perfect vacation home. My non-beach kid made good use of it. Can't think of a better place to spend a week on OIB.

Top notch all around experience

We stayed at this property with 2 couples and 4 kids for 4 nights during the kids’ spring break. The entire rental experience, including the home, canal setting, and owner communication, was excellent. Key points: - The home is well-stocked with quality items, making it feel like a cherished space rather than a generic rental. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide variety of cookware, and the furniture is lovely. - The outdoor space is fantastic, with a large covered back deck overlooking the canal, balconies for almost every bedroom, and a rooftop deck with beach views. The private dock was a highlight, perfect for fishing. It's a short stroll to the beach. - The owner, Jason, was easy-going, communicative, and generous. He offered early check-in and late checkout and provided ample paper and cleaning supplies, so we never felt nickel and dimed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we're grateful for the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home!

Couldn't hand asked for more

Our family has been coming to OIB for years. We've stayed in 4 or 5 homes and a few condos. This was the best house we've ever rented. The location was wonderful, on a handicapped access road, so no stairs to the beach! The house was even better than expected with everything we needed. The view from the crow's nest was beautiful. Beach gear was a nice perk. So many beach chairs, a lot need to be tossed, but we found 4-5 that would work. Salt water does a real number on them. The kayaks are an amazing bonus. Early morning fishing in the intercoastal was fun and productive. We enjoyed the amazing hot tub a couple of evenings and did a lot of crabbing on the beach at night and even got to watch a loggerhead turtle lay her eggs in the sand our final night. What wonderful volunteers they have overseeing their turtle programs! The weather was oddly stormy all week, but still one of our favorite trips. Jason was wonderful to work with. Communications could not have been easier. He was always ready with help and advice. We all agreed that we need to return to Jason's home again next year. Thank you for a memorable week!

Just what we needed…

The kids loved cooling off in the pool after being out on the beach or dueling at the ping-pong table. The dock was great for fishing and a quickstop for picking up and dropping of boat riders. It offers so much to do and so much space as well. We had 4 generations, including a newborn and no one was kept up all night or needing to get away. Everyone had a room or deck to get away to as needed. It was lovely!

Awesome beach home

This home was everything you need in a beach home getaway! The house itself is awesome! Great layout, spacious, private yet cozy. All of the different levels of deck made for good family time gathering. The crows nest was everyone’s favorite. The amenities that came with the house were also greatly appreciated. From big things like provided bikes, kayaks & beach toys/chairs to small things like ice buckets, serving platters & cookware— the house had everything. Will definitely want to make this an annual trip at this house.

Beautiful!!

This property combines an ideal location and fantastic amenties into one incredible home. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our vacation, whether we were sitting on the beach, out to dinner or relaxing at the house. This property had an amazing view, day and night on the roof top deck. The owners went the extra mile in equipping this home with everything a visitor could possible want. Kitchen was fully stocked with necessities, along with the garage having anything you could think of for a day at the beach. This beach home was wonderful. Our family would love to return next year

Superior House, Amazing Owners!

We love this house! This was the 3rd or 4 time at this OIB property and we will be back!! Great space, beautiful interior but still comfortable. Owners are amazing; personable and responsive. We had a wonderful week 🌊
