Saltfish fritters "Flitters" was a quickly improvised with cabbage. Chef Amera is best at baking. You chose to have real Jamaican food for meals, we call "Jamaica Mama Homestyle cooking." Miss Corretta and Kelvin and Sir Bryan tended to your pool. There are other service providers behind the scenes, but all of us work together as ONE. We hope you will visit us again! Dear Pia, Thank you wholeheartedly for your "Awesome" 5 Star Review of Shimmering Waters. We all appreciate your kind words and your wonderful family. You were absolutely "AWESOME" GUESTS!!! I hereby recommend you to all Hosts! When we envision ourselves as guests, there are 2 very important services that I like for my family, friends and certainly, for you our valued Guests. I introduced, for all inhouse guests, complementary floating breakfasts in your private pool or breakfast at our dining table if you choose. "Who likes to get up to a new beautiful day in a tropical country having to search for, but not finding, coffee or tea ", "no not me I thought", and by extension having to search for breakfast, far from one's pool. And after breakfast, why have to get dressed a second time, this time, in a bathing suit. Not unlike Pia, I like to do my own laundry! Time consuming, detracting for sightseeing, excursions, and maybe missing a beautiful sunset. I therefore introduced free laundry service, but not ironing. There is more about Shimmering Waters which may never be noticed or written about. It is behind the scenes our Team wanting to please, as quickly as possible! Mario and his family were wonderful guests and a real pleasure to host! They are very nice people, respectful and considerate of staff and the Shimmering Waters property. I recommend them to any and all hosts. You will find that they are more like travelers than tourists, often out exploring.

The true character of a person shines through when near impossible situations arise. Faith and Perseverance made Maggy overcome the chaos caused by the fire at Heathrow Airport, and somehow after a ceaselessly day long effort Maggie and guests were blessed to reschedule travel.
