We had a wonderful stay at this well stocked, fun, ideally located cabin. Access to the lake was easy and just a few steps away. Our dogs roamed the site which was big enough that we don't think they bothered anybody. Our host was ideal answering questions and offering tips and checking was easy. This was our first visit to Mayo Lake be we see ourselves coming back next year.

This place is breathtaking, quiet and clean. Check in was easy. The kids loved going down to the lake to get their feet wet.

Our girls' weekend was just perfect! We enjoyed coffee every morning down by the lake and sunsets in the afternoon. There was perfectly ample space for the five of us. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and we had all that we needed. Kathy was very responsive to any questions I had while on property and even following up afterwards. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore Roxboro OR just needing some relaxation in the woods at the lake.

Had a great stay, no other houses in site, great for our dogs to be loose and not distracted, they loved the lake and so did we. Just what we needed to get away as a family for a few days and unwind together…

Thank you for your kind words. We agree that the house is very unique; our builder was a true craftsman whose vision far exceeded our expectations. Anyone with knowledge of construction will see that this is no "log cabin kit"! We've tried to make the furnishings comfortable and inviting. The lake itself is a 'well-kept secret' and we hope it stays that way. Please come back to visit!

Fantastic property on the lake

The cabin is immaculate and located right on the lake for a relaxing stay. The cabin has both the charm of a cabin with modern amenities and has plenty of space for relaxation and gathering. Will definitely stay here again.

Incredible lake house and location

This is one of the best lake properties I’ve ever rented. The property owner was wonderful to work with. Location was awesome and quiet, perfect for a long weekend.

Wonderful wooded retreat

This property is such a great location to get away and relax. The wooded lot, right on the lake offers the opportunity to relax and enjoy family and friends. Spacious, well maintained, with so much character.

Wonderful setting and wonderful hosts

This location is steps from the lake on a secluded lot surrounded by woods. It is a very peaceful place to recharge or for remote work. Highly recommend.

A beautiful place on the lake

What a beautiful log cabin! The lake views are amazing. The home was well stocked and communication with the owner was a breeze. My dog enjoyed walks along the lake shore and property. Very relaxing and would stay here again.

A Wonderful Place to Celebrate Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful stay at Cornerstone Cabin. It is obvious that the owners put a lot of care and thought into the home. Thank you! I highly recommend this place for a gathering of friends and or family : )

Quiet and cozy

We really loved the secluded feeling this home gave us all (even if my kids said we were definitely gonna get murdered lol) We all had enough space to be comfortable, but together. The variety of games was great and the fishing! Absolutely would stay there again!

Great cabin experience.

Property as advertised. Great screened in back porch. Private lake front property. Lake was good for swimming and floating around. Great place to enjoy time with friends.

50th birthday celebration

Since the unprecedented coronavirus disrupted our prior plans, we opted for this lake front relaxing retreat. The character and history of this home made it more special! Very clean, comfortable & owners were terrific!

Perfect for a family escape!

What a charming, beautiful property! The dogs and kids had an absolute blast playing in the lake all day and the house was very well appointed. We had a mix up with the dates (totally my fault) and the hosts we're so apologetic and did their best to make things right for us. We'll definitely be back!

Peaceful Property

Our stay was great! The property is peaceful and very private. The cabin was super clean. All linens were fresh and clean. Bedrooms are spacious, bathrooms too! Kitchen & bathrooms were stocked with towels & necessities. Easy to follow instructions inside for during your stay and your departure. Host was super responsive. Easy few steps to the lake. Would recommend and stay here again!
