We LOVED this place. It had a cozy vibe but with plenty of space, had a great kitchen, the hot tub was AWESOME, and it was in a great location. The loft space was also a super cute unexpected hit; our 9 and 11 year old kids loved to chill out up there.

The house worked well for our group. We appreciated being able to relax, share meals, and soak in the hot tub, all in a very nice mountain cabin.

This property was exceptional. Clean, cozy and very well decorated for the cabin feel. The hilight of the propert is the back yard and deck. Our dogs loved sitting out in the sun while scheming how they might catch one of the many squirrels. If you're headed to Truckee or Tahoe this is a great place to stay.

The cabin was amazing!!! It looks great in photos but the pictures do not do it justice. The backyard was our favorite part! Debbie you did amazing work thank you for sharing your home with us!

My family of 5 (two adults and 3 kids ages 5 and under) had an excellent time in Truckee visiting the snow. There is a huge "green belt" in the backyard that's shared with other neighbors, and we were able to make snowballs, snowmen, go sledding, and we found a couple of igloos to play in.The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was cold when we got there so it did take awhile to heat up, but after that it was completely fine. I definitely recommend this property for families that want to experience a snow trip with snow right outside your window.

Lovely Cabin - Fabulous Ambiance

Impeccably decorated - so cute. Extra comfortable (and warm!!) bedding. ALL the comforts of home and so close to ski lodge. Me and my family just loved staying here!!

The owner was very polite and responsive with communication. The house was very nice and had plenty of games to keep 4 teen boys busy (e.g., cornhole, axe throwing, firepit, hot tub).

Best cabin ever

This cabin was one of the most beautiful cabins we stayed at in truckee. All the beds were super comfortable and warm. What i like the most about this place was the moose decor all over and the personal pictures displayed. I definitely would cime back here!

Convenient and Comfy!

The cabin is so convenient and close to downtown Truckee and the drive to and from is easy. The inside is welcomingand cozy and had all of the comforts of home. There were 8 of us total staying and plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub was a treat in the winter cold, too. Thank you for the lovely vacation, Debbie!

The house is very well maintained, and you can tell it is truly loved and cared for by the owner. Unlike many vacation homes in the area, the outdoor space behind the house is beautifully landscaped rather than simply being left as a patch of forest. There is green grass, a stone path, flowers, a fountain, a hammock, and several cozy benches and chairs tucked among the trees. The hammock looks charming, although unfortunately it isn't really comfortable enough to lie in.The patio is also very inviting, with comfortable outdoor furniture and a gas fire pit for warmth, not to mention the hot tub. I would love to come back in spring when more flowers are blooming, and I can imagine this house being wonderful in fall and winter as well.There was, however, one significant downside. The hot tub automatically starts a cleaning cycle at around 11:27 a.m. and 11:27 p.m. The regular cycle lasts at least half an hour, which wouldn't be a big issue on its own. However, several times during our stay it ran continuously for four or five hours. The hot tub is right next to the master bedroom, and when the system is running it is quite loud and there is a noticeable chlorine smell, making it very difficult to sleep in that bedroom. These longer cleaning cycles happened regardless of whether we had used the hot tub the previous day.Overall, it is a lovely, unusually well-cared-for mountain home with an outdoor space that clearly sets it apart from many other vacation rentals in Truckee.

Best Back Yard Ever

We absolutely loved the back yard for this weekend stay! Our kids aged 10 and 12 rarely used any screens in the evening as we enjoyed the corn hole game, the fire table, and the hot tub. The Bluetooth sound system made it fun.We had every meal at the outdoor table. We even made a point of using the chaise loungers to drink our coffee in the morning. Great location and really cool place to hang out in nature!

Wonderful cabin!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The house fit our 2 families nicely, and there was a lot of outdoor space for all to enjoy. The nice outdoor furniture, jacuzzi, hammock, waterfall, fire pit, and bbq make this a great place to entertain. Kitchen is well stocked. Also the owner is a pleasure to work with. The only suggestion we would make is to reduce the amount of fragrances inside the home (allergies!) but other than that, our stay couldn't have been better! We will definitely rent this home again.

Lovely Home

The house was very well put together. Nice furniture , good beds, plenty of utensils. The atmosphere was home yet felt luxurious. All around the property was taken care of and landscaped. We all actually sat outside and chatted on the comfortable lawn furniture. All the TV worked and the Wifi was easy to access. My dog were mostly happy but as usual when we travel they have a bit of unfamiliarity and are lost for a day or two. Communication with Debbie was great. We loved your house for our first time in Tahoe-Donner.

The home was lovely, the only thing was, that the owner should replace the living room rug, it had bad dog urine odors....other than that, the home is fully stocked with everything you need...Our vacation was cut short in the 2nd day due to my wife becoming ill and requiring her to seek medical attention, forcing us to return home, cutting our Anniversary/vacation short by 4 days.....The owner is very nice, however, she refused to refund any of the monies. for the remaining 4 days..So make sure your able to stay the entire length you have booked for, or able to lose the balance..It is a beautiful area and a lovely home though. Next time I will book a cabin right on the water, this cabin would be more perfect in winter for snow skiing because it so close.

I am very sorry that the vacation was cut short but due to constant bookings and carrying costs there is a strict refund policy as with any other vacation rental. As for the dog urine smell, I would NEVER EVER allow my beautiful home to smell as I am a self proclaimed neat freak. I would be the first one to replace ANYTHING in my home that was not considered luxurious or FIRST RATE. As for the stay, again I am saddened that it was cut short, but was given RAVE reviews of the Outdoor deck, fire pit, pond with waterfall, and beautiful outdoor living furniture. This home is perfect ALL year round. I take pride in this home, and it shows, and I have been told so by ALL my guests, as I check on each one upon check in to make sure there is nothing you need or out of place.

Great property but be ready to deal with relentless owner

This property is nice and it is clean. However it was not worth the stay dealing with the owner. Debbie confronted me via text about how our dogs created an accident in 3 places in the house. I apologized and I was sincerely sorry for the accident that my dogs had caused. Good thing we paid for pet and cleaning fees. However, Debbie continued to berate me with additional costs, our negligence as renters, and lecture us on how their dogs would never do such a thing in the house. Mind, you we didn't treat the place like Led Zepplin on the top floor of the Marriot on the Sunset in Los Angeles. It was reparable accident that can be resolved by the additional cleaning and pet cost deposit. If i could give Debbie some advice: 1. Be consistent with how you communicate ALL the rules and expectations and how you present it through your communications. We saw conflicting rules between VRBO, multiple texts, emails, and home manuals. Also be clear about what the cost of the cleaning fee and pet fee takes care of. 2. Be kind. Your reactionary tone and judgements over texts are disturbing and upsetting. Not something anyone would want especially after our wedding ceremony on Donner Lake that weekend. I hope this review doesn't come across as a rant. Rather be kind and professional.

The fact that you wrote down your dog HAD 3 accidents I FOUND upon walking into the cabin alone stops me right there....your stay was just after the cabin was lovingly remodeled 4 months prior from floors to carpet, to furniture. I take EXTREME pride in my cabin and take a lot of joy in sharing with those who come stay. I make sure they feel at home and its immaculate for each guest. The fact you had NO remorse for your pets behavior tells me you knew that this was a regular habit. This may be okay at your home, but its not at mine, ever. When i ask guests if their pets have and do travel well, and mind manners, I expect honest answers. I have been very blessed Up until now that the guests that have stayed with their fur babies have been very respectful of the cabin. The fact you dont understand how i can be upset or angry at how you treated my home is still beyond my understanding. Travelers like yourself ruin it for GOOD pet owners. So when I suggested you dont travel again EVER with your pets, I meant it. I spent the next 3 hours deep cleaning my home back to what I would want my guests to expect to find when they come stay at my home, not yours.

Lovely backyard!

Lovely home, with a resort quality backyard. Spectacular outdoor setting! Also, although temperature was in the high 80’s to 90 degrees, the house stayed remarkably cool with all the shutters and black out drapes closed during the day while we were at the lake. Our 9 year old daughter loved the loft play area. We did bring our own tower style floor fan and put it in the loft for her to play, as it was quite hot up there. Suggest adding a floor fan to the home,
