Great house on a beautiful setting. It is well stocked, clean and communication with the host Peter was excellent. Sitting on the deck is very relaxing. We saw so many deer, a red fox, pileated woodpecker, hummingbirds, osprey, and other wildlife while at the property. It is quiet and very serene. Highly recommended.

Fantastic home and location for our family get-together. Didn’t hurt that we had incredible weather. Owner provided timely and useful information. Would definitely rent again. Oh yeah, the daily seal show and eagle was a nice bonus !

Every thing at the VRBO was perfect. Location excellent for the activities that we wanted to do. Getting down to the beach area was a bit difficult and would be for elderly and very young children.

We spent six days at Overlook at Shore Haven. The home was equipped with everything we needed, especially the kitchen. The home was exactly as described and fit our needs. Communicating with the owner was excellent. Our grandkids loved being able to walk down to the water and the deck and lawn allowed us space to enjoy the outdoors.

We spent a great week at Overlook in late March. Location was perfect for both on and off island activities. Beautiful views at any time of day, but sunrise was particularly good.

Ideal location for all the bar harbor and acadia attractions. Close to town as well. Beautiful home on the water with access to watch to the tides, sunrises, starlit nights. Peter was in constant contact to make sure our stay was an amazing visit. Cant wait to make our next trip up and stay here again

The property is well located with excellent view from the rear deck, but it is badly outdated with poor maintenance and poor housekeeping. Linens were soiled as were dishes/pots/apppliances, shower curtains, furniture, patched screens, etc.We made it work but definitely not worth the fee.

I am glad that your comments are very atypical. here is what others say: We had a wonderful six night stay in early October...we all agreed, it was the nicest VRBO stay we have ever had. Great house - great location...The communication with the host prior and during the visit was thorough and helpful...Cannot recommend highly enough I invite others to read through previous reviews to get very different perspectives.

Our group of two families enjoyed our stay outside Bar Harbor. The location was great for easy access to all neighboring attractions.

Stunning bayside views of sunrise and water birds. Gourmet kitchen that is well stocked. Comfortable beds, linens, and living space. Only one problem, very poor water pressure. I don’t recommend showers. Sponge bath works for us. Made it feel a little more rustic. We had a wonderful family vacation! Very pet friendly.

Sorry to learn you had a problem with water pressure. It is not a kkown pronlwm as reviews attest. It's difficult for us to correct a problem that we don't know about. We don't like oir guests to be inconvenienced. Thanks for.letting us know, but wish you had mentioned it when we could have done something to mKe you stay better for you

What a great property! Location to Acadia Park, Bar Harbor, and other destinations was perfect. Enough room for all 6 adults, with room to spare. Loved the walks down by the water, sitting on the back deck, and spent some time in the front yard as well. All of our time in the house was spent sitting around the table playing games after a day away, and of course sleeping. We didn’t do any cooking, but the kitchen seemed well stocked. May have been the timing, but we had no issues with any type of bug while outside. I highly recommend Cadillac Mountain for sunrise, but you get a pretty spectacular view from the main suite/ back porch in this house as well.Peter was great to communicate with, and instructions were very detail. You didn’t have to wonder how to handle a situation. So thankful we found this rental. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful Overlook

The view and quietness were breathtaking, the home was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. All ages of our family enjoyed our stay. Property is situated for access to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

We had a wonderful six night stay in early October. Three generation family and we all agreed, it was the nicest VRBO stay we have ever had. Great house - great location. The communication with the host prior and during the visit was thorough and helpful. The house is really well laid out with a large common area and a great porch to gather. Great accessibility to Acadia. Cannot recommend highly enough

The property location was very nice. Easy drive to everything on the island but remote at the same time. The sunrises are amazing. Plenty of room and comfortable for 8 people. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Peter was always available, check in was easy. Driveway is quite steep, I recommend having a 4 wheel dive car if you plan on staying here.

The view off the back porch and the overall charm of the property makes this place special! We saw seals everyday while sitting in the back porch. At night you get a great clear view of the stars! We had everything we could need available to us! With Acadia and bar harbor just a short drive away it makes this house a home run!
