Future travelers: please understand that the issue stated above was primarily VRBO's geolocation. This guest was led to believe the property was in one location (per VRBOs geolocation placement) when the property is actually in a different location. When the guest called me with her dissatisfaction I asked her politely to please cancel the reservation from her end so we could issue her the refund. This is common practice from the host's end as her canceling her reservation per her intention not to perform frees up the calendar for other guests to reserve the nights. The guest adamantly refused to cancel her reservation despite having no intention to perform and therefore no refund could be immediately issued from my end. In the end, her credit card company ended up disputing the transaction and retroactively canceling the reservation. This is exactly what could have happened the day she presented her dissatisfaction with the location had she been willing to work together with me. Any potential guest should search for this property on competitor nightly rental websites as we have accumulated 28 reviews averaging 4.75 stars overall there. The construction is ongoing and will continue to be an element in this area for years to come. If you are hypersensitive to construction this is probably not a good fit for you, but speaking from personal experience having stayed in this property many times with my wife and family, and having many other sets of guests do the exact same with their families, it's really not an intrusive element in the slightest.
