Se stai cercando un rifugio appartato e tranquillo in montagna, questo è il tuo posto. La casa, sul lago Eagle, si trova su 11 acri di terra ed è stata in famiglia dalla fine del 1800. La casa originale costruita nel 1891 è stata sostituita con un moderno campo / cabina negli anni '60 ed è stata recentemente aggiornata

I panorami e i tramonti sono mozzafiato! Trascorri una giornata nello storico Fort Ticonderoga e scopri l'importante ruolo svolto durante il periodo coloniale.

Se ti piace andare in kayak, fare escursioni, nuotare o navigare, Eagle Lake è il posto dove stare. L'accesso rapido al lungolago è tramite passaggi o un percorso. (entrambi piuttosto ripidi)

Una gita di un giorno a Burlington Vermont per visitare il Museo Shelburne o il pranzo e lo shopping nel Lake Placid sono sempre un piacere. Montreal è a 2-4 ore di strada in auto o in treno - Amtrak ha una fermata a Ticonderoga. Il Museo Adirondack a Blue Mountain Lake è da vedere anche.

Una cucina moderna, una grande camera da letto matrimoniale e un grande ponte sono solo alcuni dei punti salienti. Il piano di sotto ha anche 2 comodi futon della regina che sono perfetti per ospiti inaspettati. L'estate è incantevole sul lago ma non perdere il fogliame autunnale --- vedi i bellissimi colori autunnali mentre navighi sul Lago Champlain sul Carillon, una barca del lago di 60 piedi in partenza da Fort Ticonderoga.


Mentre siamo animali domestici (preferibilmente un animale domestico), per favore non lasciarlo solo se sei via per la giornata. Tieni gentilmente gli animali domestici lontano da mobili o biancheria da letto e raccogli i rifiuti del cortile. Il detergente verificherà la presenza di graffi e altri danni alla partenza

We had a wonderful stay here while we were in town for our cousin’s wedding! The host was extremely responsive and quick to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. The location was great and very convenient to Snug Harbor Marina, where we rented a boat. The views from the house were absolutely beautiful and made the stay even more enjoyable.The upstairs area did get pretty warm during the day, but it cooled down nicely at night. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

Private and Homey

Terrific private location at the top of the lake. Nice breeze the whole week. New stairs down to the waterfront are well built. Very nice to be a part of the historic property. Feels like a home, not just a rental property.

Relaxing family vacation

This is a beautiful Adirondack property. The home has everything you need to be comfortable. Especially enjoyed the old books including the ones about the history of the property. Kayaks and canoe were great for enjoying the lake and fishing. We heard the loons calling in the evenings—something calming and magical about hearing them out on the lake.

The cabin was charming and comfortable, and the view of the lake from the deck was lovely, especially at sunset.Once leaving the main road the drive up to the cabin could be better marked and can be challenging. An AWD vehicle isn't necessarily required, but strongly recommended. A FWD with low clearance would certainly struggle in places. Plan to arrive during daylight hours—in the dark the drive is harrowing.The fact that linens and bath towels were not provided seemed a bit odd to us, so don't overlook that detail which is a bit buried in the listing. We noticed it before we left so we weren't caught off guard, but I could see how others might miss it.The rustic approach and linens notwithstanding, we thoroughly enjoyed our time, and do highly recommend.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY

Hubby and I really enjoyed this property. The views of the lake are gorgeous! The canoe and kayaks are fun to use. Hubby was out fishing twice a day. The sound of the loons was perfect. This place is like "Golden Pond". The house is equipped with everything we needed. The only reason I did not give this property 5 stars is because I thought the exterior of the house could use a good cleaning. The views are so beautiful but I could not help notice the dirty windows.

Beautiful Fall foliage vacation.

The house on Eagle lake is fantastic. The view looks down the lake and we enjoyed canoeing and kayaking on the lake. We visited Fort Ticonderoga (15 min away) So interesting with so much history and beautiful views. We also visited Putnam ponds for a hike to hidden little lakes. (10 min away) We drove an hour and 10 min to hike Mt Jo near lake placid. Next time we will visit Lake George or Burlington also close by. This house is in a great location. The house itself is charming with comfortable beds, a kitchen with everything you need to cook and a great deck looking over the lake. This one is special, you won't be disappointed.

Most relaxing vacation ever!

We just finished our second stay in this house and love everything about it. I wish I was back there right now! It's private, has a great view, and is located on a crystal clear lake. No cell service or wifi but plenty of books, games, and nature. The kitchen is well supplied and had everything we needed. It's very close to the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Area with lots of good hiking. On good weather days we took our beach chairs down to the rocky ledge on the point and swam, paddled kayaks, or just floated around looking at the osprey and bald eagles overhead. Although the house feels remote, it is only about 15 minutes to the Walmart Supercenter in Ticonderoga in case you forget anything.

The stay was good. We were surprised that there were no towels and sheets. That would be ok if we were taking a road trip, but my husband and I traveled from Utah. We did find a few sheets and towels. We also bought a few things from Walmart. We left the towels there. I'm glad we figured out how to reach the owners, someone we could talk to. Our friend saw some mold in the bathroom downstairs, but I did not use the bathroom downstairs. It was a house in the woods, and some of that stuff is to be expected along with a few spiders. I just killed a couple. All in all, it was a good stay. Thanks so much.

Nice stay on the lake

Stayed for a week and had a good time. We only slept at the house, we had another rental up the road on lake George. This does have lake access and the water is low so it would be a great spot for small kids to be able to play in the shallow water. The walk down to the water has steep stairs. You’ll 1000% not want to take a car to this home. It is a camp road so you really do need an suv or truck to get through. Main floor has a master and then downstairs in the basement is 2 bedrooms. There is zero internet or cell service at this property. It was about 3miles down the road heading into town that we were able to get it. There is a house landline available while at the house along with cable.

We are sorry thoughyou had difficulty with the road - we do have photos of the driveway on the site and have had no troubles with any cars including Pruis traveling the driveway. Great stay for our family! The place was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. A couple of things future guests should know: no AC, so it's warm, but the lower level is built into the hill so it is nice and cool and comfortable for sleeping. If you like to have campfires, there's no fire pit. The water access/"beach" is small and not much for "lounging in the sun" BUT, you can swim; the water is super clean and there are kayaks/canoe to use. The walk down to the water can be challenging with steep steps or a path to walk. The view of the lake is limited becuase of the trees. The driveway is a gravel/dirt path that has some hills with a sign to use "low gear." You can hear road noise from Rt 74 across the lake. These things are in no way related to the host - the place was wonderful, felt like home, relaxing and we truly felt off-the grid. We would have like to have stayed longer. I don't want to tell you how amazing this place is...

because it might book up even faster, and we NEED to come back! This house is incredible and honestly, a bit magical. With Eagle Lake being right outside your window, and visible from almost every window, there are guaranteed views of beauty everywhere you look. It's also exceptionally comfortable inside. The bed is luxurious, the kitchen is comfortable to cook in, and the absence of cell service and WIFI is an absolute relief. It's quiet, and this is what we needed when we arrived. Communication with Susan was easy and prompt, and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed frequent hikes and took the kayaks out, and also made time to explore the area along with taking big chunks of time to do absolutely nothing. We enjoyed a fantastic stay and really do hope to return very soon. Thank you for having us!

Enjoyed our stay on Eagle Lake. Swimming and canoeing and kayaking and cliff jumping were fun. Nice house with a big lawn for lawn games.

Beautiful property with spectacular views of Eagle Lake! Loved our stay!

Very laid back and relaxing vacation! Very comfy and cozy and loved watching the sunsets sitting in the Adirondack chairs. The lake was gorgeous and crystal clear! Enjoyed every minute with my husband, two grown kids and dog..

Just what we were looking for!

House just as described, water crystal clear, dogs loved the water, lawn perfect for family croquet, canoes, lots to do in the area - Fort Ticonderoga, a ride on the Essex Ferry, Paradox Brewery - WOW has it grown! The lilies on arrival were just lovely.

Great short vacation

Loved the house and the beautiful lake view!!! Enjoyed relaxing on the patio, canoeing on the lake, and playing board games and cards at night. No internet or cell phone service, and Harris Point Road to the house is scary in spots! Wished we had brought our 4-Wheel drive instead of the minivan, but we did manage to get in and out every time:). Local attractions such as the Star Trek Experience and Fort Ticonderoga are listed as 0.1 miles and 1.8 miles away, but are actually closer to 10 miles away. We loved the house, and would like to return someday!! Very relaxing!

Terrific property and location! We used the kayaks, canoe, and grill all weekend. Had a great time and on the first night were already making plans for a return trip in the future!

Fall getaway

Great fall getaway. Leaf peeping, historical sites, and just relaxing by the fire. Must visit Wind Chill Factory. Best ice cream ever! Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!!
