Enjoyed a three night stay with family. The listing is very accurate. This is glamping. If that is what you are expecting you should be delighted. Some nice additional highlights were an ample source of firewood, nice swings, a battery operated fan. Also, the shower was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting a hot shower. It is a great system. I would say it provides about a one yard reservoir providing heated water. Very nice. Hosts were very helpful and went above and beyond to assure our comfort during a heat wave. Very private. It is clear the hosts put their heart and soul into the property, not to mention a lot of work. Great experience and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

The fact that 1 dog was welcome is the primary reason I chose this location. Another reason was the proximity to an event I was attending. The location is in a very undeveloped area, but the camp is fairly close to a road as the bird flies, high above and visually removed from it. Noise from the road was not any problem, and good roads nearby was a plus. The owner has a house on the road into the camp, well separated from camp. I liked this, they didn't bother me, and nice to have help nearby. The road in is was a well maintained gravel up and down winding way around rocky terrain. The owner had a large pile of road material and a front loader on site to keep it in good shape. However- if you don't know how to drive when you have to take ground clearance seriously, and have a very low undercarriage, maybe not for you.Another thing I liked is the wifi internet connection. Cell phone coverage was weak in some places around there, I wanted to be sure I could communicate with the event I was attending. VERY convenient to Fort Ticonderoga, which I visited, and highly recommend. There are other sites to visit nearby as well. I crossed on the Ticonderoga Ferry, the oldest continuous Vermont business, which is also nearby. Talk to the owner who runs the ferry if you go. Learning the details of operating the ferry while talking with him, his love for history and the legacy he contues is obvious. In conclusion- I had a very good experience, and recommend this location.

We really enjoyed our visit here. It was clear that the hosts had put in a lot of work to make this place fully ready and amenable for their guests. They provided a lot of firewood and already had a fire built in a nice stone fire pit for us. The cabin had a beautiful porch which is covered that allowed us to sit outside with our coffee (there was a coffee maker!) even on a rainy morning. There are also plenty of outlets if you need to charge any devices, but the location runs on solar power, so conserving electricity was important. The cabin is unheated, though it retained heat well and nights/mornings were still comfortable. There also is no service - which is a plus if you choose to look at it that way. There was an outdoor shower and a porta-potty, both of which were clean and well stocked.Things we think future guests might want to know (though not complaints): the road up to the cabin is significantly steep, and if your vehicle doesn’t typically go off-road, it might be a challenge. You are away from other people if you stay here, we were alone the whole time, but the road is within about 100 yards of a main road and cars were going by regularly within sight. That’s not something we fault the hosts for, everything was very nice and you can’t tell the cars to be quiet, but if you are expecting to be in the middle of nowhere the sound of the vehicles going by can be sobering.
