Everything as advertised

Enjoyed every minute. Unit was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Having the pool, bar and restaurant a short walk away cinched it for us.

Very Happy

The condo was great. The location is terrific. Convenient to the beaches. Tennis and pool across the parking lot from our condo. Looking forward to staying here again.

Unfortunately, we could not stay at this condo. We had to book a hotel for the first night and arrange alternative accommodation for the remainder of our vacation the following day.Initially, the condo appeared fine. However, after spending some time inside, we noticed a strong musty, damp smell and experienced respiratory irritation.Upon closer inspection, we discovered heavily soiled air vents with extensive dark, mold-like deposits. We also found suspicious stains and deposits on bedroom pillows and around the toilet. We documented everything with photographs.The following morning, a technician inspected the condo. He told us that the deposits were definitely mold. However, we did not receive a written inspection report or laboratory confirmation, so we can only report what he told us verbally.Management offered a deep cleaning, but the technician explained that extensive work would be necessary, including a cost estimate and approval before proceeding. Based on his explanation, a simple cleaning did not appear sufficient.Given these conditions, we did not feel comfortable staying at the condo and cannot recommend it.

Bonita Relaxation

Have friends who live in Bonita Bay and have visited. Decided to to rent own unit for a week. Time went by fast which sure was also due to perfect weather. Loved the location and all amenities close by. Hoping to come back next year with group of friends.

Perfect for us

Great condo in a nice development. We took nice walks on the paths everyday. It was rainy so we didn't make use of the pool or beach. If you stay on a Saturday morning be sure to check out the farmer's market at the Promenade, easy walking distance from the condo.

Bonita Bay Condo

This is a comfortable condo, close to all amenities with a pleasant view of a large pond and part of golf course. A couple of improvements were required. The glass shower door needed repairs which we were told would be fixed, and pots and pans were in terrible shape. We bought a pot and fry pan ourselves.

Wild Pines Condo

This condo was dirty upon our arrival. We bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it and also washed comforter and rugs. The rugs were filthy and falling apart so we went out and bought some for our use during our stay. The towels are cheap, thin, not soft and probably fifty years old so we also bought towels for our use while there. Once cleaned, it was ok. The living area is quite small. The realtor offered to pay for our cleaning supplies, which we declined since we were taking them with us. A refund on the cleaning charge would have been nice. We do like the Bonita Bay neighborhood.

Active Community

The Wild Pines development is one of several developments within the Bonita Bay Community. It has a nice pool and clubhouse stocked with books and games. The community has several scenic walking and bike paths. Our rental was a middle unit with a view of a lake behind it. It was large enough to accommodate 2 of us comfortably, but was a bit crowded for 4. It was pleasant to sit on the screened in porch overlooking the lake. Kitchen utensils and cookware could use a bit of an upgrade. The TV in the master bedroom was a smart TV, but the living room TV was not. I believe that Wild Pines is the only development in Bonita Bay that offers short term rentals. Communication with the property management was very good. During our 2 week stay, we had 1 issue with a leaky faucet that was promptly attended to.

Great location and view; kitchen just OK

We love the Bonita Bay community and area; we stayed two weeks in January and had a great time. This condo is very nice and comfortable overall; convenient location with a 2-minute walk to the pool and close to the shuttle stop (although it wasn't running this year due to the hurricane damage at the beach). We had two couples staying and it was nice that we each had our own bathroom, but we would look for a larger condo if we were staying two weeks again. Kitchen is fine (older painted cabinets) but pretty cramped if more than one person is in it. Compared to previous Wild Pines condos that we have rented, this one fell short in the kitchen pots/pans and utensils provided (dull knives, only a few pots provided and some were dirty and damaged with peeling nonstick surfaces), minimum amount of dishes provided. Beds were very soft and a bit bouncy; mattresses and pillows/comforters seemed older. Linens were the bare minimum, for example extra pillows were provided but no extra pillowcases; only one towel per person. One closet was half filled with a ladder and some other utility things; closet space is pretty limited in these condos so it would be nice if it were all available. The rental agent was responsive when we did contact them (e.g. the front gate did not have our name when we checked in), but I don't think I should have to be the one to tell them about basic deficiencies.

Management company was horrible!

When we arrived there were no towels or washcloths, no soap and a half a roll of toilet paper and 2 sheets of paper towel! We arrived on a Friday and after several calls to the management company, who was extremely hard to get a hold of, we finally got 5 bath towels on Saturday night! NEVER received washcloths or hand towels! Also the company didn’t email our shuttle pass to the beach until Saturday! I asked for some kind of refund for all of the problems and they said they would look into it and I NEVER heard back from them! VERY UNHAPPY!

Hi Beverly! I want to start by apologizing for the lack of towels in the unit and the day delay on the Beach Passes. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of the HOA for all beach passes as they were going through some management changes all through most of April. We were also told by the cleaners that the proper towels were delivered so I do apologize. I wish you had mentioned that not all the towels had arrived as we could have sent them back to deliver more. As for a refund, we never received any sort of refund request. After receiving this review, we looked back at our call logs do not have any record of you calling. I hope you enjoyed your stay as this is a beautiful unit and an amazing community!

Wild Pines condo

We loved the area and the condo was just as advertised! The only glitch was that the computer at the gate wasn’t updated with our reservation when we arrived so we had to contact the rental company to help us get checked in….Tucker was super helpful with that so it all worked out fine! We would definitely stay here again. Loved the private beach also!
