The host, Stacy, was very easy to work with. The checkin was seemless and the house was fine for our needs. Didn't get to use the fish cleaning table because the mosquitos were unbearable, but it looked nice. The upper deck got us mostly out of their range so we could sit outside. In the end, we were evacuated due to a storm and didn't get to complete the stay, but I would rent it again.

We had a great time. The house has everything needed for a OBX trip! I highly recommend bringing a 4x4 and getting the ORV permit for your trip. The gas station next door has a free air compressor to air up your tires and the access is just a couple hundred yards away down 12.

Cute, clean cottage with a nice layout for a small family. The beach access and ORV ramp are just across Highway 12. AC works well. Bring your own toilet paper and garbage bags if you will be staying more than a couple of nights. Friendly host. Recommend.

We had a fantastic week at Park Place! The home is exactly as described and pictured, a perfect beach getaway. The beach, stores and restaurants all super convenient. So much to do or just relax on the beach all day!

Great place to stay

This is a very nice and extremely well equipped home in perfect condition on a quiet side street steps from the beach. The owner was very responsive and instructions were clear. Would stay there again.

The inside of the house looks exactly like the pictures. Very clean and well suited for a peaceful beach getaway. Lovely.

Our Favorite

This is the second year we have stayed at this property. It is directly in the middle of everything. A five minute walk to the beach, and 3 minute drive from the Canadian Hole, shops, restaurants, and grocery.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, supermarket and stores are within a mile. Excellent restaurants also close by. And a big thank you to our host. After driving 4 hours (half way to home) I realized I left my keys. Messaged our host and she found them and will be getting them to us. That is excellent service.

Great Location!

Our stay was fantastic, the home was just seconds away from the 4x4 beach access and a few minutes from restaurants. The home was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, as well as a great spot underneath the home for cleaning sand and salt off ourselves and our dog. We plan on returning in the future!

Perfect beach cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at Park Place. The cottage was spotless, comfy and nicely equipped with everything we needed. Stacy offered us an early check in - greatly appreciated after our two day road trip. We love the quiet neighborhood and the short walk to beach access. We are windsurfers so being close to the Canadian Hole was great for us too. We hope next time we can plan to stay longer!

Exactly what we needed!

This home was exactly what we needed. The walk to the beach with chairs and toys was a little difficult but so worth it once you got on the beach. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone needing a getaway/vacation.

Came here for a week in early September. Liked it so much, we returned within two months! Loved the Fall here because no one is on the beach! Will return next year.

My family had a wonderful time away! The house is in a perfect location! So close to the beach, right across the street and a short walk. Perfect for a family. great stay on Hatteras Island

We really enjoyed the house and the area. Close to Avon and just a short walk to the beach. The house worked out well for our needs. It was a little cold at night with the winds and drafts, but the heat did the job of keeping us comfortable. We appreciated all the labels on lights, etc. letting you find things easily.

Long Weekend

We checked in for a long weekend and Stacy was very responsive, her communication is quick and helpful! The house was very clean and well equipped. It’s on such a lovely quiet street the epitome of why we love Avon, close to beach access and a few great restaurants..
