Exactly as Described

My family and I wanted to visit our son attending Ole Miss and this property accommodated us just right. Property was as described. Eclectic taste, fun house, comfortable beds.

Great location, but not clean at all

I hate to write such a negative review as the owners were extremely kind, but their place was visibly dirty, and it seemed like they picked up and left for the weekend without cleaning. The shower had hairs all over it, the shampoo bottles were crusty, there was a razor left in the shower with long human hairs tangled in it, there was no usable closet space and it seemed as if the owners threw and stuffed all of their belongings in every cabinet, closet, and nook possible. We saw a roach and left a night early, opting to go the route of a cheap hotel room.

Below, my response sent in a direct message July 2: Dear Mr. Darden, I am so very sorry this was your experience. We organized so many details to make your experience wonderful. This is one of my first times to host, I hired a special service dedicated to rentals to get all details in order beyond our regular cleaning service right before you arrived. We had new linens and towels set up, fresh flowers, your own dedicated toiletries. We even went extra lengths to be sure you had water laid out, firewood if you wanted to use the fire pit, outdoor games in case there were children with you. I’m sorry there was shampoo bottles, etc. left in the shower. This is one of my first times to hosts and thought all that had been removed by the service. As for the beetle coming in, we have our home regularly sprayed and have not had any issues ever before. Best, Jill To those interested in renting our home reading this review: I am happy to give a video tour of the home to anyone interested in renting our cozy lil home so that you may see for yourself.

Great house and host!!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was really cool and the decor couldn’t be better! They did such a great job communicating and being available when we needed. They also left us some snacks and a bottle of bubbly when we arrived! Will definitely book again next time we are in Oxford!
