Come find rest and relaxation at River Haven. Our beautiful new cottage is located directly on the banks of the Chauga River and is secluded within 10 acres.

The cottage is light and airy with large windows and high ceilings throughout for viewing the river and surrounding area. The cozy, well appointed living space provides a complete kitchen, master bedroom, living area with sleeping sofa, and bath. In addition to the beautiful indoor space, two porches and a hammock area are available to enjoy the rushing river sounds. A riverside firepit and sitting area will also provide an excellent opportunity for relaxation.

Visitors of River Haven, will enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking, and swimming in front of the cabin or simply curling up with a book listening to the river. Also you may experience the thrill of Chattooga White Water rafting just 15 minutes from the cottage.

If you enjoy hiking, nearby waterfalls provide for wonderful hiking opportunities. Boating and skiing activities can also be enjoyed on nearby Keowee, Jocassee, and Hartwell lakes. Other areas of interest nearby are Chattooga Belle Farm Distillery & Vineyards, Clemson University Tiger football, Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, Duke Power World of Energy, antiquing, White Water Falls, Chattooga white water rafting, visit to Clayton, Ga and shopping just to name a few.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful river side cottage. Everything was so comfortable, clean, and inviting. The wonderful views along with the peaceful surroundings made this the perfect getaway if you are looking to disconnect from everything and enjoy nature. The host was very accommodating and provided all the information that we needed to have a great stay!

Beautiful Setting, Cute Modern Cottage, Super Clean

We loved staying here and look forward to returning to the area! The cottage is modern, very clean, and well stocked. My family really enjoyed the proximity to the river, just steps from the porch. Communication with the host was prompt and professional. Check in/out was a breeze. Definitely recommend! Five stars :)

Relaxing stay

We were looking for a quiet spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and this was exactly what we were looking for! We spent our days exploring waterfalls and relaxing in our hammocks along the river. We really enjoyed the coziness of the house, the campfire by the river, and a quick trip for rolled ice cream. Would highly recommend!

My husband took the kids here for a little getaway before starting back at school. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids were able to spend most of their time in the river either floating or fishing. They caught several fish every day.

A Little Slice of Heaven

We loved everything about this property! It’s right on the river and our family enjoyed tubing and playing in the water. It’s also very peaceful and relaxing to sit on the porches or hammock. A cozy modern oasis. We’ll be coming back!

Beautiful

The property was absolutely beautiful. It was the relaxing getaway we were looking for. Went white water rafting about 20 min away and just down the road was a 1 mile hike to falls and swimming hole. Also fished and played in the river on the property grounds. Phone service/wifi was hit or miss on the property, but disconnecting was not necessarily a bad thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Loved the house and the view. The river was very soothing. The only drawback was the ruts in the road which my car couldn’t navigate so I got stuck. The owners kindly called a tow truck for me.

River Christmas

This place was awesome. Peaceful, Beautiful, the river us clear. You can hear the water rushing over the rocks, while sitting by the fire pit or off the bedroom porch. What a view. Oh and the cottage is so clean and cute. The mattress is Omg comfortable. So glad we spent Christmas here. We would definitely rent again . *

Beautiful tiny home!

This was a beautiful serene property. The tiny home is immaculate. Such cute decor. Bed very comfy. Grocery store is about 13 min away. The drive was long from SWFL and to come to such a relaxing home was perfect! We came up for a wedding, we didn’t stay nearly as long as we would have liked, but will always keep this hidden gem in our minds. SC in November was absolutely beautiful. We don’t see the seasons change like that in SWFL. Fire pit and the river right in front of the house was just so amazing. There is a mobile home across the River. We only saw them once for about 2 minutes and never again. It’s so quiet out there. Only heard wildlife, fire crackling, and the river flowing!!! Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your part of the country.

Perfect For Our Family

Two adults, two children. Ages seven and 11. The house was very comfortable and the AC worked perfect! We spent all of day two in the river. We were able to tie our a river float on a low hanging tree for all day use. The current was not heavy at all. Both kids could go get in the water by themselves and stand waist deep in the water all of the way up to the third rock bed. Though be mindful after a rain, that does change. Bring a kayak and take a VERY quiet and relaxing stroll with no current at all. The front porch was prefect. Took a nice nap out there and drank my coffee out there every morning. There are neighbors and they want their privacy just like you would so just know if you see a house, that is all you will see. It was super quiet and checked every box on our list. It was also nice having firewood available as we used the fire pit all day, everyday. There is a hose out back that we used to clean our feet before going in the house. If you live close and have a five gallon bucket for dipping your feet before going inside, bring it to save water. And if your like me, I appreciated the cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc. It was nice to be home, away from home.

Great Anniversary Get-Away

When we drove onto the property down the long, winding and rolling driveway headed to our own personal wilderness retreat, the stress level immediately began to ease. We really enjoyed our stay and even rediscovered the beauty of nap time! The cabin was quaint and secluded. One of the best highlights was viewing the stars from our bed! Really forward to coming back in cooler weather to try out the hammock and fire pit by the river
