We were happy with the accommodations. There is no street parking so you are limited to the 2 car garage and one other spot. Owner was very responsive. Location was convenient to the balloon festival (15 min on side streets).

Family and pet friendly home in a good location.We enjoyed our stay in the home. Plenty of room for the five of us. The youngest liked sleeping on the pull out. The driveway into the garage does have sharp transitions that our small/low car let us know were there, especially if we were all in it! And the street is a bit crowded. But there was enough room. The home has been lived in and has a few stains in the carpet, but nothing major or disgusting. Well decorated and a homey feel. Over all just a nice place to stay with the family. Not too big not too small.

Lovely house in a safe neighborhood on a private street. Beautiful view of the Sandia mountains from the balcony off of the master bedroom. Great kitchen with nice appliances. Full use of the garage was a huge plus. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the quick responses from the owner. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at this property. It was conveniently located to everything we needed, had a fabulous floor plan, was well equipped, cute decor, had comfortable furniture, and included use of the garage. Although we didn’t have time to take advantage of it, there was even a nice patio area to enjoy the outdoors and grill. The property manager was friendly, quick to respond, and very helpful. We hope to stay here again soon.

We enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately there were several areas that kept us from giving the property an excellent rating.The home would benefit from a thorough deep cleaning and some refreshing. A few of the comforters had stains and need cleaning, and some of the bathroom throw rugs were quite dirty. We also noticed cobwebs and that several of the doors were very dirty.A few of the pillows were extremely flat and could use replacing with newer, more comfortable pillows. For guests who drink tea, a tea kettle would also be a nice addition.Parking was also quite difficult with the size of our vehicle. We were able to just fit inside the garage, but it was extremely tight. We had no idea when booking that the garage might be an issue for a larger vehicle, so it would be helpful to provide guests with some guidance about the garage dimensions or recommended vehicle size.There is also a tripping hazard when entering from the garage that could be made more noticeable with yellow paint or tape to help prevent someone from catching their foot on it.Finally, the instructions posted on the refrigerator could use updating to make sure the information provided to guests is current and clear.The property has good potential, but addressing these items—particularly the cleanliness, general refresh, and parking information—would make a significant difference in the guest experience.

Nice place. Quiet neighborhood. First time in Albuquerque, to attend a USAF PJ graduation at Kirtland. Too many things we wanted to do, but between the lack of time and uncooperative weather, we limited ourselves to walking the Sandia trails and visiting

Cute but has issues

Hi Steve, We are checking out early and just left the house. We didn't find any checkout instructions since there is no tablet at the house. But we emptied all of the trash indoors, picked up after our dogs, and put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher (but I forgot to start the cycle). We wanted to make you aware of a few things that we found broken when we checked in so you don't think we did it and can perhaps fix before the next renters arrive. Fireplace - we already let you know about this - not really broken but pillot light was out and we could not find where to light it after taking the bottom panel off. The instructions at the house are for a different model fireplace and YouTube didn't help us. We left the bottom panel off for whoever comes to light it. Freezer door handle - is broken off. We found the handle in the pantry. We were able to open the freezer by sticking our fingers in the hole left by the handle but it is a bit sharp and not entirely safe. Kitchen sink faucet- doesn't retract back in place. It works though. Cuisinart coffee maker - this one was on the counter but we could not get it to brew. We found another coffee maker in the pantry that worked so used that one. Towel rack in Master - does not stay up and cannot hold a towel. One other issue was the back yard. Most of the furniture out there is not usable and needs to be trashed. There were also a lot of cigarette butts out there and a packet of pills. Other than these things, the house

Lori: Sorry you had less than an ideal stay at Sandia Velo. As far as the issues you have identified: 1. I have since set my handyman over to the property and he verified proper operation of the fireplace. The gas valve must be on and it operates my remote control. It has electronic ignition so there is no pilot light. 2. The refrigerator is a Samsung and as luck would have it, even though it is a 2016 model parts are no longer available. Replacing a $2000 refrigerator when it works fine the freezer is easily openable without the handle is a tough one to swallow, but I may have to give in and do it. 3. Towel rack in master has been fixed. 4. Kitchen faucet retracts fine, but you have to line up the holder and the part that retracts by rotating it. It is now fixed. 5. Outdoor furniture seating is wrought iron and perfectly fine. There is a lounge chair and table that will get replaced this spring when temperatures warm up. For those prospective guests reading this review, keep in mind we have a local handyman we can send over to handle any issue at any time. We wish Lori would have requested the services of our handyman, and most of these items would be addressed on the spot during her stay.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Albuquerque you can't go wrong with this one. Communication from the host was top notch from the initial booking, arrival instructions all the way through check out. He was very clear and concise giving me the all the information I needed. As for the house, everything was very clean and in great working order. The house has a nice modern decor with everything appearing to be updated. There is tons of space between a large kitchen and large bathrooms/bedrooms and the living room. The neighborhood was quiet and there were plenty of stores and restaurants nearby if you needed anything. I would highly recommend this place and will look to stay here again for my next trip to Albuquerque.

Sandia Velo Like a Retreat in an Urban Setting - Homey and Comfortable

Comfortable for two, comfortable for six, would have been comfortable for eight. Spouse and I were there for a few days alone, two days with family members joining us, and then again just the two of us for the remainder of the week. It was comfortable in every setting. Great access to a lot of activities including hiking, shopping, the Tram. Very accessible to groceries, restaurants. Easy to prepare meals at the property - great appliances and dishware.

Beautiful House

Very well kept and perfectly stocked with everything you need. The garage use was a great bonus to keep cars off narrow street. Nice walking trail across the street at the curve (a bit hidden, but a gem of a surprise) We visit Albuquerque once a year and this will definitely be our go to place! Hosts were extremely easy to work with. Look no further, this is your vacation spot!

Perfect rental

Super cute and clean property! Very easy to get every where from this location and there are several options for food/coffee/drinks and grocery stores within 5 minutes. The property manager was great with communication and promptly answered any question I had. Great place for a family or a few friends.

Great site for quick family reunion. Kitchen and open floor plan facilitated reminiscing and laughter. Need a bit of ground clearance to manage the slope into the garage!

Great stay in Albuquerque

If you are going to spend time in Albuquerque, this is the place to stay. Sandio Velo is a new (built in 2021) two story, three bedroom, four bath home in northeast Albuquerque. Living area is downstairs including a bathroom and all three bedrooms and three baths are upstairs. This location is close to everything including grocery, hardware, drug stores, banks and of course, Starbucks. An island doubles as a bar and holds the microwave, sinks and dishwasher. The kitchen is fully equipped with top line appliances from Maytag, Samsung and Kitchenaid. If you like to cook, you will love the Maytag gas oven/range. Many other kitchen niceties include a large pantry with many small appliances including a toaster, crock pot, and hand mixer. Also included is glassware including red wine, white wine and champagne glasses. You will not need to bring anything to prepare and cook meals. A large dining table will seat up to eight adults. The living area has a large sofa and coffee table. One wall has a large wall mounted tv with a high end 5.1 surround sound system. Out the back door is a patio that includes seating under an umbrella, and a BBQ grill. A large garage can hold two cars and is filled with all that is needed to bicycle Albuquerque. Two carbon fiber bikes and a complete bicycle maintenance facility is within the garage. Included are various parts and all the tools needed to maintain or repair a bicycle. Upstairs is all bedrooms and bathrooms. The large master bedroom has a large screen TV. The master bath contains a very large closet and an equally large shower. The two guest bedrooms are also roomy each have their own TV on the wall. One of the bedrooms has a bathroom en suite. The remaining bathroom is immediately outside the bedroom. This is a real find in Albuquerque! The property manager/owner is accessible and is very prompt to respond to your needs.

Gorgeous comfortable home

We enjoyed an amazing stay at this beautiful property. Everything was perfect. We really enjoyed the beautiful Mountain View’s, nearby trails, and the gorgeous, comfortable home. It is very well stocked and we prepared many meals here and were able to use the grill and outdoor area to entertain local family. We will definitely look to return on our NM trips.
