The view was wonderful, we spent all our time outside. Because it was off season we had the beach all to ourselves self. Looking forward to coming back.

The location cannot be beat! Literally steps from the beach with a view I’d like to bottle and take home. This house had everything we needed, including lots of towels which was great. I did have to buy body wash and shampoo because it wasn’t provided but that was my fault for not coming prepared. We did not have any Internet issues which seems to be a common problem every time we come down. The only drawback is the single AC unit- we finally got the downstairs cooled off enough by the end of day 2 (in October) so I cannot imagine renting in the heat of the summer. There are lots of fans and a dehumidifier which helped. Also, there were lots of little gnats on the sheets and floor, so maybe pest control had just been done. The mosquitos were terrible in the evening but again- there was bug spray and citronella candles provided, plus I brought thermacells.

Our stay was incredible! The house was very clean & cold! It was well stocked! The location was perfect and so convenient with having little ones on the beach! The balcony was our favorite part! It was so spacious & the view was stunning! Plenty of room & bathrooms! Can’t wait to stay here again!!

Great house great experience

Me and my family enjoyed every minute of our vacation. Beautiful house we had everything we needed the location was great being right off the beach. The people that owned the house were great and very accommodating.We will be booking again soon!

Awesome time

My wife and I stayed at Shore is Fine for a weekend getaway in April. Everything was perfect. The house sat right on the beach which is just what we were looking for. The house was beautifully done and had everything we needed. The property manager was super easy to work with and very responsive. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful Place

This house was amazing & beautiful, perfect location. All the beds were comfortable the porch was great you could Watch everything on the beach without being on the beach. So many extras & so many things to do & play with! We didn't want to leave 😂. We will defiantly be going back! The property manager was awesome!!

It was totally worth the drive

At first my family were all very upset at me with the two hour drive from sugar Land however upon arriving not only was it forgiven it was all forgotten. The house was absolutely gorgeous and well laid out. It was super clean and the big plus was that the property owner was pet friendly. The beach is literally right at your doorstep and the kids had a great time playing in the water.

The perfect getaway

This house was amazing!! All the beds were comfortable the porch was great you could Watch everything on the beach without being on the beach. The property manager was amazing we had some trouble with the fridge working and she guided us through that, the chairs downstairs were old and unable to be used so she brought us brand new ones, and the door handle came off and she even asked if we wanted it fixed that day. She knows how to run the house and was the best host we have ever had ❤️

Property needs some love

I debated on leaving an honest review because I have actually never left a negative review in my life. However, we didn't want someone to spend similar money as we did and not know what we encountered. The property is a classic short term rental that has been "rode hard and put up wet" with limited attention given to it. There are a ton of things inside the home making it convenient for someone who travels unprepared; however, for us it just made the home so cluttered we didn't even have room for our own stuff. The home has rotted window seals, soft sheetrock, cracks in sheetrock on the ceiling, soft floors, flooring is peeling, front door handle hardware is so rusty it struggles functionality, paint is peeling all over the inside of the door, the meterbox downstairs has a huge open hole in it...we had to make a rule for the kids to not even walk on that side of the house...exposed sheetrock holes of a broken baby gate, handrail walking up outside stairs are very loose and not secured to the actual house...these are a few things and the list unfortunately keeps going. Also, random ants in downstairs room we purchased some spray and treated. This is the worst home we have stayed at for a short term rental.

Josh, we sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. We highly encourage our guests to reach out to us so we have the opportunity to resolve matters promptly. We will follow up with our exterminator to ensure the ants are taken care of. As far as the cabin being too stocked, we did send an email several weeks before you arrived with a list of our supplies. I’m sorry that the supplies were an inconvenience to you. I was not aware of the issue with the electrical box. We have called an electrician and will have it repaired immediately. All of the other issues you mentioned will be addressed this week.

We had a GREAT time! Couldn't have asked for better beach access and everything was just as we expected. The host was helpful and responded quickly and as an added bonus very kindly mailed me the airpods I left behind. We would happily return!

You wanna stay here!

“Sho is fine” is exactly that! My family and I spend a lot of time in Port Bolivar. My wedding was down there, several holidays and birthdays, and I am telling you…you wanna stay here. We went down there for my birthday this year and we were very impressed. They welcome events, the location is right on the beach, lots of parking, lots of games! We played volleyball and flew kites there’s lots more games to, including a nice assortment of board games. There’s a fire pit for a beach front fire and the upper deck has a beautiful view and lots of sitting areas for your guest. The house has beautiful furniture and pillowy soft mattresses and linens that make you wanna stay in and snuggle up (lol). The kitchen has a huge island and great appliances and utensils. They literally provided everything you can think of needing for a great time. I immediately thought, upon opening the door, that they love to have a good time here! They also left me a really special birthday gift on the counter when I arrived. I love this place and definitely will be back. Thanks so much Chris and Amber you are doing a great job!
