Very impressed with this cozy treehouse in the forest. A short drive from Congaree National park and nearby Columbia, SC this charming apartment was exactly what we needed for a short weekend getaway. Our host Tira made sure we had everything we needed and was available when we had questions at check out. I’m so grateful for the cool AC and adorable kitchen as well as the sunflower shower head! While not near the livelier nightlife of USC, If you’re looking for a quiet retreat to read books and relax, this place is perfect.

We had a great time on our trip. This really seems like the place to be if you are looking for a spot near Congaree. It's just a few minutes from the park super convenient. Very nice host and we loved Vito! Accommodating to our pups. We will be back!

Well worth the booking, the host Ms. Tira is wonderful. Very nice place that is secluded, private and safe. Very clean place as well. Quiet and peaceful. Will be booking again for work. 10 out of 10 recommended.

Our maps brought us in a weird back way, but once we saw the lights we knew we had made it. It was magical to drive up to and weLoved all the decor inside, especially the shower curtains. Fully stocked to cook as we prefer to do when traveling, we enjoyed our meals on the front balcony which was perfect for the 4 of us.

This was the worst experience we have had with a host across dozens of stays. We booked Tira’s home specifically because it said washer and dryer were “popular amenities” and we are mid camping/hiking vacation. The day before we arrived, I reached out to ask if she had detergent and was told washer and dryer are not available for guest use and we could use laundromat 15 min away, in an area we know nothing about. I had screenshots of what was available but she changed the description overnight and said it was always there. We had just finished a full day rafting trip and were extremely tired and sore. We asked for a refund since this was false advertising. Between all the rules in the description, the inflexibility of the host, and the terrible communication, renters should be wary. Ultimately, she advertises items available that are not. The closeness to Congaree was not worth the hassle we endured from the host.

We disagree with the characterization of this experience as false advertising. The amenities and terms of use for our property are communicated through the listing and house information, and guests are responsible for reviewing those details before booking. A question about laundry facilities does not change the terms of the reservation. When the guest contacted us about detergent, we clarified that the washer and dryer were not available for guest use and provided an alternative laundry option nearby. We understand that this was not the answer the guest wanted, but providing that clarification and an alternative was not an attempt to mislead anyone. We take our hosting responsibilities seriously and expect communication to remain respectful and based on the actual terms of the reservation. We regret that the accommodations did not meet this guest’s expectations, but we stand by our commitment to clearly communicating property policies and protecting our home. WE ARE NOT A LAUNDROMAT!

Magical

This rental is stunning! The decor is beautiful, the property is private & the owners are so nice! We stayed for several days and enjoyed the experience! We'd definitely stay again!

Welcoming

We enjoyed our stay in the Treehouse! The decor was amazing. Stayed here for close distance to Columbia and Congaree. The breakfast was delicious and everyone was friendly. Loved spending time on the deck.

Southern Hospitality!

Very clean and easy process. Properly has other rentals but overall it is a very welcoming and homey feel. Was well stocked and comfortable. 12 min drive to the visitor center at Congaree National Park.

Comfortable stay in the woods

Our stay at Woodland Gardens was great! We enjoyed our morning coffee and dinner each day out on the porch to enjoy the warm weather. Very close to Congaree National Park and about a 30 min a drive in to Columbia where there are a ton of restaurants and more grocery stores to pick from. Tira was a good communicator and available for questions. Check in/check out was really easy as well. Would stay here again.

Wooded wonderland!!

So many places to relax, the upstairs deck, the downstairs couches and tables with the cool breeze blowing through the billowing white curtains. Nice place for an event, small wedding, shower or birthday party! Just beautiful!!

Close to Congaree

Great location to explore the national park. Only 4 miles from visitor center. Very quiet and tucked back in woods. Bring groceries with you along the way because there isn’t a close store.

The little home was wonderful and it was so well decorated and cute. The hosts are very accommodating. However, it was quite a ways to find something to eat and we did go there to be able to hike in the park. Unfortunately mother nature brought us rain for the 3 days we were there so we weren't able to do much. It is very cozy and if we get an opportunity to come that way I would definitely stay again.

Don't pass this place up!

Tira made our stay so memorable! We arrived late at night, her decorations for Halloween were stunning! We spent the first hour just taking in all the decorations she obviously spent days planning! I'm sure this place would be great at other times of the year, but OMG, at Halloween, you could not find a better place to stay. I just wish we could have stayed more than one night!!!!

Cute Woodland Garden House

We chose this property due to its proximity to Congaree, but knew we wanted to go into Columbia too. It was nicely located. It was comfortable and had all the things we needed. It did not have soap or shampoo in the shower, but I did forget to mention that to the host so no big deal. I liked the shared patio space downstairs, very inviting. We spent both mornings on the patio (either upstairs or down) and most evenings out there too while our kids roamed around outside and did messy kid things. My kids cried when we had to leave. We would stay here again.

Such a Cool Spot!

We loved our stay. The home really feels like a home. It's cozy, welcoming, and inviting. It had everything we needed, towels, toiletries, a fully stocked kitchen, and gorgeous spaces for relaxing. The outdoor spaces were our favorites and there are several options to choose from. The covered area downstairs was great for evening meals and unwinding. The upstairs deck was nice and quiet, and right off the living room. The property is nice and level, parking was easy. The owners were very respectful and available, and also gave us plenty of privacy. We loved the proximity to Congaree National Park. We brought kayaks and canoes on a trailer, and the owners gave us the perfect spot to park it. We were there over Memorial Day and the bugs weren't bad. We brought bug repellant and a big fan to keep the mosquitos away and it worked great. What an amazing trip! We had this beautifully decorated home to stay in, we got to visit the park, hikes some trails, paddle Cedar Creek, and enjoy family time together.

I would not have rented this home for our weekend away without the kids had I known the owner lives onsite, in the rental when it is not occupied and in a camper when it is. May want to update listing accordingly. The bed was torture, so uncomfortable. The one functioning window unit was far from sufficient, hot even in October. Thank goodness it wasn't a Summer trip. The owners kids (I suppose) were hanging out randomly on the lower level and had a party our last night which kept me awake most of the night... not that I could sleep anyway due to the lumpy bed and lack of airflow. $850 for 3 nights of torture... yikes!

The potential is there but it needs outdoor TLC

The tree house itself was super cute, unique, and cozy—exactly what I was hoping for in terms of charm and comfort. It was thoughtfully equipped with everything you'd need for a your stay.However, the overall property was quite run down and didn’t match the photos on the listing. I came across broken glass in a couple of areas, and the outdoor furniture and décor were so weather-worn that I didn’t feel comfortable using many of the outdoor amenities. It was disappointing because the space had potential but lacked proper upkeep.Additionally, there were several areas around the property with items piled up or left unattended, which gave parts of the grounds a cluttered and unkempt appearance.The check-in process was also frustrating. After booking, I never received the check-in details from VRBO. It stated to contact your host. When I finally reached the host after several attempts, 45 minutes after arrival, she simply referred me back to the listing, where it was supposedly posted that you just walk in, no code and no key. Keep in mind I looked at over 30 properties before booking this one. I had to go back and search the original listing manually. It would be helpful if the host ensured this information was included in the confirmation or sent separately.That said, the tree house itself was a memorable and cozy retreat. With some attention to property maintenance and a more guest-friendly approach, this could be a truly special getaway spot.

GROOVY!The ambience of the whole place was absolutely awesome. Communication was awesome. She bent over backwards to make the whole place available to us.The grounds are very cool with options for a nice fire pit, different little hideaways and balcony settings. I contacted her ahead of time and she was very welcoming to let my son and his girlfriend and their parents and a few of my son's friends come over and enjoy cocktails, and the place as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
