This was our second visit to this property. Visited this past May. Spring and Fall experience. Both wonderful!The house is set up perfectly with the split house plan for us and our son and daughter-in-law. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Lots of beach and deck time. West End Marina restaurant is a three minute drive and provides good food and fun. Bryan is an excellent host and responds quickly to any questions. The only thing I would change on this house is I wish it had steps from the deck. Looking forward to returning next Spring.

Family getaway

We took a week to get out of town and enjoy the beach. House was great, right on the water. We got to cook out, eat out and had a blast in the sand.

Refreshing winter getaway!

Great house, well stocked!

We loved the property and how well it was stocked eith essentias. The last house we rented ( not this house) on Galveston beach didnt have even a little bit of toilet paper when we arrived - so it was a pleasant arrival this time, to see how well it was prepared with essentials! The house is great, pics are accurate and the only thing was that the A/C went out on our last night. Ensuring an early checkout perhaps it was 85 degrees and of course, the owner couldn't get it fixed before we checked out. So that part was EXTREMELY uncomfortable trying to pack up and finish early in that heat. Houses renting for that much should have A/C units checked and maintained regularly so that doesn't happen. Otherwise, great house

Great view!

We had a wonderful stay over the thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen was so well-equipped for preparing an entire thanksgiving dinner! The house has plenty of space and the open concept kitchen/living room was perfect for group cooking and conversation. The view is excellent, and we loved sitting on the covered part of the spacious deck with plenty of seating. The home is well-stocked with supplies. The owners were communicative from the start with helpful information to make our trip as easy as possible. When I had questions, they were very quick to respond. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Blue Heron and hope to return in the future!

This is the one!

Great, responsive host. This home is as advertised. I must have looked at 30 homes on Galveston Island looking for the "perfect" home to spend a few days. I was a bit suspect at first about all 5 Star reviews, but after spending 3 days here, they are real. I would start with saying that if you had a vacation home, this is how you would stage it. Nicely decorated, comfortable furnishings and everything you need in the kitchen no matter what you plan to cook. We loved the layout where the kitchen and family room, along with two of the 3 bedrooms and full view of the beach and gulf, close enough to hear the waves with the french doors open. The deck is well thought out, while we were here in January, when the sun was out it got warm, it was great to have a covered area outside to sit and enjoy the surf. I imagine in the summer, this would be VERY important. Also, a portion of the deck was lowered enough so that when you were either on the upper deck, or laying in bed in the master bedroom, your view was not interrupted by the deck railing, nice touch. While we visited Galveston and the surrounding areas, the location and proximity to the beach was enough to keep us at the house during most of our stay. This is the perfect choice if you want beach front. Lastly I want to again compliment the owners who were quick to respond and while we never had an issue while we were there, we have no doubt that they would be been on any issue that arose during our time.

This is a lovely beach house. We've rented several in Galveston and this was, by far, the best. It is very clean, well stocked and front row! You couldn't ask for anything more.

Outstanding beach house! You can enjoy the view from the covered porch or take the one minute walk to get your toes in the sand. The house has everything you need and more. Our host Bryan provided excellent communication throughout the process. We will definitely be back!

The check in was very easy. Full amenities in the kitchen. Everything you could want in the house. It was was decorated so cute and it was spotless! The view was spectacular. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to renting The Blue Heron again!

Family Vacation

The house is inviting and has a bright and airy vibe. It is also stocked with everything you could possibly need, including a high chair and a pack and play.We did experience the AC not working on the first night of our vacation. However, the owner Bryan addressed the issue immediately and had it fixed quickly. Which was impressive considering it was July 3. My family and I enjoyed our stay and we look forward to booking again next year.

This was our second stay here and it’s still our favorite! The upgrades are beautiful and as before, this house has everything you could need. It’s quiet and has direct beach access. Both the adults and kids had a great time. Bryan is so responsive. Zero complaints. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time. The house was just perfect. Better than the pictures. The layout worked so well for us. House has everything you need. Kitchen and butler’s pantry are very well stocked. West End Marina restaurant is practically across the street and was very good. The deck is great for mornings, afternoon and night. Very short walk to beach. We set up a canopy and it was perfect for time at beach and running back to the house, or just taking a walk. Bryan answered my questions very promptly. Will definitely go back. Soon I hope
