The house is beautiful, and very spacious. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils/pots/pans etc. Hosts were so helpful- very communicative. Answered right back when we had questions. Beds are comfy. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us. We had plenty of space and comfortable beds. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed. We liked the dining room furnishings and having the big table. It was nice weather for sitting at the table on the front porch. We needed more directions to get the downstairs TV to work, but that wasn't an issue.We would stay again .

Our stay in Fair Haven was perfect. We were in town for a wedding at Lake Bomoseen. The home was located within 19 miles. The home has been lovingly restored, but still maintains its original charm. I love older Victorian homes. This was a perfect choice! The neighborhood is very quiet. The house has an older cemetery right next to the front driveway and also across the street. Our host, Craig, was most helpful…suggesting restaurants for both dinner and breakfast (Wheelhouse Inn and the Wooden Soldier). Both places were absolutely delicious! There was a lot to do within a few miles from the home. My husband and I found an absolutely wonderful place to pick apples, Cobble Knolls. We had an absolutely perfect fall weekend in your lovely home and hope to return again soon! Thank you!

The house was great. We loved the antiqueness of the house. We are technicologically challenged, so had trouble with the TV. The beds were comfortable. We didn't use it, but the kitchen was great. We would definitely use this house again.

Great property which was perfect for a weekend getaway. Beds were extremely comfortable, looked like updated bathrooms upstairs and downstairs and new kitchen appliances like the fridge.

Clean cottage, Nice location

While there are some things mentioned before that could be improved with new, this was a great stay for the price. The place was clean and well kept. A good value with plenty of space for us in between the basketball tournament games. We’d definitely stay here again next time.

Large, beautiful Victorian house. Anything you could possibly want was there - all kitchen appliances (blender, coffee grinder, microwave, etc. etc.), 6-burner stove. High-quality hand soaps, thick towels, blow-dryer, washer/dryer, iron and board. Given that the neighbors were in a beautiful old cemetery, the neighborhood was extremely quiet, and just a couple blocks from the center of the small town. The host was quick to communicate and 100% pleasant. Should we be this way again, we'd be pleased to stay there again.

We had a very comfortable stay as a group of 10 (5 adults aged 37-63 and 5 kids aged 7-17).Some of our favorite things: 1. Location: It was close to Castleton, which is what we wanted. There was a very well stocked gas station close by (3/4 of a mile away). And we found the cemeteries next door and across the street charming. Loved the porch. 2. Kitchen: Good selection of pots/pans and cooking utensils. Loved having a gas stove since we don't have those a lot where we live. 3. Living room: Great surround sound system. 4. Bathrooms: Were supplied with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Towels were fluffy and soft. 5. Playing cards: There were mixed decks of regular playing cards and also UNO cards in one of the kitchen drawers. We played a few rounds of UNO and even though the decks were mixed and missing cards we didn't care. We made the best of it and had good family fun.What we wished was a little bit better: 1. The beds: This one is probably on me for not reading the listing details properly, but we weren't expecting one of the beds to be an airbed. So, there are 3 bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom with a queen bed. One bedroom with a king bed. And one bedroom with two queen beds. And then downstairs in the office area is where the queen airbed is. There is no official bedroom downstairs. Two full bathrooms. One on each floor (none in any of the bedrooms). 2. Kitchen: The burners we tried on the stove were either uneven or not working properly.

Keeps being great!

This was our second time using the property. We had a large group of six visiting family in the area. The house was clean and inviting, same as the first time, and was a delightful stay again. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, Fairhaven is a beautiful town, and the owner continues to work on a beautify the property even more.

Short stay in Fair Haven

The house was big and comfortable, but it could have been cleaner, and it was obviously undergoing construction work. The light bulbs in one of the bedrooms burned out on the first day, the living room smelled musty, and there was pet hair on the sofas (one smelled so strongly we couldn't use it). The Wi-Fi was also poor, which was a shame because otherwise the house was nice and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The directions provided by the host were confusing and led us to the wrong accommodation. Fortunately, it turned out to be a minor issue that we were able to resolve amicably with the neighbors and the host's indications.
