--THE PROPERTY--
The Penguin is the second of the Cobblepot Cottages in Rocky Mount. Designed with romance or relaxation in mind, the privacy, seclusion and lake views are worth the drive! Just minutes from the Bagnell Dam strip, local restaurants, and everything else Lake of the Ozarks has to offer. There are now a total of four cottages available:

Each cottage has it's own private deck, propane grill, and seating and we're adding some walking trails in the woods, as well as a swim platform at the water and other outdoor amenities including shared fire pits and hot tub.

Kitchen & Dining
Due to the cozy size of our cottages, there is not a full kitchen, but we can assure you there will be everything you need to fix a nice meal for two. There will be dishes and utensils for cooking and dining, along with a Keurig, toaster, microwave, countertop induction burner and a small fridge, or you can use the propane BBQ grill (Propane) on the patio overlooking the lake. A small table with 2 chairs will also be available.

Smoking | Absolutely NO SMOKING, VAPTING OR DRUGS of any kind are allowed inside the property.
Pets | This property does NOT allow guests to bring pets.
Parties | We do not allow bachelor, bachelorette, 21st, or other similar types of parties or party groups and have a zero tolerance for violations.
Property | This property is privately owned and has been entrusted to us for use by our guests. Please be respectful and careful with the property and the contents inside, and respect the rules that have been set forth for this property.

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary trip. The place was was perfect. We enjoyed using the hot tub and hiking trails nearby. It was a perfect cozy weekend in. The host was also quick to reply with any of our questions. Would definitely recommend.

Nice and relaxing

It was a great little place to stay. The floors were a little dirty and someone else's hair was in the shower drain but other than that it was prefect.

Adorable cabin, great weekend getaway. Pretty far out from attractions we went to. Almost need 4 wheel drive for parking. All-in-all a great place to stay.

Special Getaway!

Overall a very nice place to stay. Towels were not very soft. Trimming a couple trees behind the cottage would improve the view. Loved everything else! Would definitely return!

Awesome stay!!!!

My husband and I rented the property to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful stay! Everything was as expected!!! We really enjoyed the relaxing mornings with a cup of coffee on the deck. We also loved the entire design of the house, inside and out. The area offered many fun activities and great restaurants with delicious food! We would come back again for another stay, and we would definitely recommend this property to family and friends! Thank you for hosting us! Hope to stay here again soon!

Amazing...

Hard to post this because I don't want the secret to get out...ha. We loved everything about this place. It was actually our first time at Lake of the Ozarks and we enjoyed the quiet setting. The dock will be a great perk once it's finished and the owner was very personable and introduced himself to us. This cabin is more in the trees than the other 3 but still a good view. We used the hot tub, fire pit and the dock. The weather was perfect and we turned off the air and opened the windows to sleep which was nice. We hope to be back!

Penguin /tiny house

The place is quiet and peaceful. The inside of the house was very clean,but the outside deck and walkway had not been swept(sticks and leaves all over). The view of the lake is poor at best because of all the trees on the property. The parking area is very poor(too much gravel) and my SUV could hardly get in and out without getting stuck.

Cozy and quaint

Home was cozy and quaint. Appreciated amenities provided. I appears the property is in process of building outdoor fire pit, which will be nice. Trees could be trimmed a bit to get better view of lake. Would recommend to friends.
