We enjoyed our stay on the property and on Brac! The weather didn’t cooperate for diving which made the pool a great alternative! The property is as described and was clean and enjoyable. Frictionless booking and communications with the owner and property managers.

We stayed at Southern Reach for two weeks in early June, 2026. My wife and I were traveling alone this year, so we did not need a larger house. The property location is superb--a quiet, secluded lot with a beautiful ocean view. The pool is not large, but quite sufficient for two people and it was clean and inviting for our visit. The house is nice, and the beds were probably the most comfortable we've found among several Brac homes we've rented over the years. The owner is easy to work with and seems to value the satisfaction of his guests. One drawback for us, as divers, was the absence of a dedicated drying rack, and the rinse tank is serviceable at best. That said, not a bad choice for a couple, especially if you desire privacy and quiet.

Lovely simple cottage overlooking the ocean

I was visiting Brac to see old friends for a few days. This was a perfect place to stay at without breaking the bank. The pool was a great place to cool down, very clean and nice. The owner got back to me within minutes to answer questions. Will stay again.

Fabulous stay at Southern Reach!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Southern Reach! The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The outside ocean front deck and pool were exceptional! We had so much fun exploring the bluff, snorkeling, beach combing, and having a terrific time with family and friends. It was perfect!

Second awesome stay at Southern Reach

This was our second stay at Southern Reach. The home is extremely clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The patio and pool are a great way to enjoy Brac’s southeast shore. Bring your water shoes as the oceanfront is ironshore. We will definitely be back.

Bliss

Our stay was pure bliss. Paul and Magie are great Hosts. They communicate in a timely and concise manner. They respond to your needs while providing an exquisite home to live in to experience a great, relaxing vacation. The pool was the pinnacle to our wonderful stay in Cayman Brac.

Peaceful Paradise

Second visit to the property! Just as good as last time. Only glitch was Hurricane Beryl but that’s what happens this time of the year. We will Be back! Lynne was very helpful when we needed her!

Hidden gem

Perfect for a weekend getaway. Each morning you are greeted by magnificent frigate birds diving into the surf to grab their breakfast, and the evening closes the day with brown footed boobies returning to their roost in the bluff. The stars that come out after sunset are a wonderful backdrop to the sounds of the waves ending their journey to shore. You can enjoy this and more while cooling your heels in a perfectly secluded private pool.

Casual relax on the Brac

This is a casual ocean front place to relax. Great for families and people that love being outdoors. We enjoyed scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, exploring caves, hanging out on the back patio watching the sunrises and relaxing in the evening with a drink. It was just me and my wife so we just relaxed. Our biggest complaint was that there was not a good wine bottle opener for us. Can't tell you much about interior as we spent as much time outside, on back patio and by the pool as possible.

Wow, Incredible and Awesome!

This home is very nice. The pictures do not do it justice. Very well maintained and very well outfitted for any adventure you may have on Cayman Brach! Right on the beach. More than beautifully amazing views day or night. Stargazing is the best I have ever seen! The pool is immaculate. Comfy, clean beds. Everything was exceptional and I highly recommend this home! The hosts were Premier for sure, and then some! Very good communication, no issues at all. You are going to LOVE IT. Plan a few extra days, you will thank me!

Great Place that had everything! Loved the Warm Pool!

We were so happy this house had a great pool and several fun floaties! It was very warm the end of March so cooling off in the pools was wonderful. The pool itself was very warm so we spent tons of time there. The house had everything we needed. The beds were very comforatable. There were TONS of towels, the showers were hot and worked great. Coffee maker worked great as well as a fully stocked kitchen with lots of small appliances. The blender worked great for us! We really enjoyed the Brac and snorkeling from several different areas of the island. Our favorite restaurants were Baracuda, Captins Cove, Brac Beach Resort, and we tried the Farm Restaurant for Pizza night and enjoyed it as well. Overall great place to stay for a relaxing trip. Thank you!

Perfect PRIVATE getaway

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Southern Reach! We were not on island to dive but to disconnect and relax and that’s exactly what we did. The house is very private and quiet! Only sound is the ocean and some birds every now and then! House is as pictured and the owners and property managers were easy to communicate with! Rural island living at its best! One thing…if you are spoiled to Kcups and Nespresso pods…learn to make it the Mr. Coffee way before you get there! My first pot made my hair stand up!! LOL If you like massages and facials book a patio massage and facial with Kelly at The Spa Cayman Brac. The sound of the ocean on the patio and the massage were a perfect combination!

Unbelievable!

The pictures do not do it justice. The constantly rolling blue waves were exactly what we were looking for. The house was immaculate, perfectly placed and a gem. Lynn was also amazing, in that she took us to the house and to the market (with us following her in the rental car). It was an adjustment to drive on the left, but there's no traffic and it added to the experience. I would definitely recommend that you do rent a car so that you can explore the island a bit. For those of us that may have to do some work while there...the wifi was reliable and relatively quick. I will definitely be back and could even see bringing my parents and making a family trip out if it. They would love it. Thank you so much for the experience, as it was just what was needed!

Perfect stay on the Brac!

This house does not disappoint! Located on the quiet South side, with breezes everyday and an unbelievable view. With minimal traffic, we were able to go for walks every morning to the end of the road. The house is set up with 2 bedrooms with very good quality mattresses, each with their own bathroom. The kitchen has every amenity we needed as we cooked most of our meals at home. The large covered porch was a life saver on the hot days as well as the few times it rained. The pool is kept very clean and the perfect way to cool off. The beach is quite rocky for those with mobility issues but we enjoyed walking along the shore looking for shells and investigating the small tide pools. The property manager Lynn was great. We missed our flight to Cayman Brac and she was there to meet us even though we were 5 hours late! She was able to get us to the store for a few groceries just before they closed and very responsive when we had questions.You will need a car as it's about a 15 minute drive into town. If you're looking for a quiet retreat in a comfortable house with amazing views, Southern Reach will check all the boxes. We can't wait to return!

Quiet, remote and clean getaway

We stayed here "off season", so can't speak for busier times ... but this little hideaway was exactly what we were looking for (and more): quiet, secluded/remote, clean and the kind of place that quickly, easily helps a traveler transition into blissed-out vacation mode. We rented a car (essential), provisioned up (the Market Place is $$$ -- hit up Billy's or Kirk market on the north side) and settled in easily. The house has all of the "stuff" we needed (kitchen/cookware, towels, comfy, clean beds and linens, good WiFi). The small pool was icing on the cake -- perfect for a refreshing dip after a long day of diving and saltwater swimmin'. You MUST bring sturdy swim booties/shoes if you plan any shore swimming/diving/snorkeling on Cayman Brac. The shoreline in front of the house (and around the island, in general) is very rocky and the approach into the water is very rough-edged and sharp. We were not able to access the water directly in front of the house b/c the seas were a little too rough and we were worried waves might slam us into the rocks. We headed to the north side for all diving/shore dives and snorkeling for this reason. Love, love, loved our stay here. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates adventure, privacy and remote locations (and doesn't mind the "effort" it takes to get there). THANK YOU for this little piece of heaven on Brac. :)
