Thank you for staying at The Palms 802. I’m very sorry your stay fell short of expectations — a 2‑star experience is unacceptable. We take bedbug reports extremely seriously and are taking these actions immediately: - Schedule an emergency inspection and treatment by a licensed pest‑control company; the unit will be removed from rental until clearance is confirmed. - Inspect and, if needed, replace mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and affected soft furnishings; install mattress encasements as a preventative measure. - Deep‑clean and launder or replace all bedding, linens, and washable soft goods; treat adjacent units and common areas as recommended by pest control. - Review and improve our guest‑response and escalation procedures so reports are returned promptly and on‑site assistance is provided the same day. - Audit our turnover and inspection checklist to catch and address these issues before check‑in. I’m very sorry you were asked to move and that you weren’t offered compensation at the time — that is not our standard. I’m sorry the kitchen cookware and lower cabinets smelled and showed signs of mold, and that the unit needed a deeper clean (floors, baseboards, and the area rug). I’ve shared your notes with maintenance and housekeeping to inspect for possible water damage, remove/replace affected items, and perform a thorough deep clean.
