Amazing home in an awesome location. Lots to do close by. Property is interesting, spacious, and convenient. Host is excellent. Our new go to in the Berkshires.

This is our third visit to the farmhouse in Sheffield and we plan to be back again if it’s available. The house has everything you could possibly need or want with lots of space and an outstanding fully equipped kitchen Robin, our host makes it easy for us to wanna come back.

Robin was a kind host! The house is a beautiful place to stay; the pantry and bookshelves were stocked, and the house has historic charm. The kids loved feeding the cows and looking at all of the decor.

We had a great stay. There is lots of room to spread out for a larger group. The furnishings and decorations are wonderful and eccentric, and the property has a rich history, very tastefully preserved. The kids loved the room with gymnastic rings and feeding the highland cattle across the road. Overall, fantastic.

Great Getaway in the Berkshires

Place is great. Has a old farmhouse feel with an update. Lots of spots within the house for people to hang out. We did a family birthday get together and had a great time.

Great Berkshires Getaway

Great renewed farmhouse in a bucolic setting among farms and cows. Very peaceful, and close enough to some of the small Berkshire downtowns. Robin (the owner) couldn't have made us feel more at home.

Beautiful space with lots of charm

All 10 family members enjoyed the stay. Not only was the house comfortable, peaceful,and creative but the gardens were blooming and there were bird families all around the yard. Lots of family space and spaces for alone time. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.

Remarkable house! I'm still agape at the beauty of the spalted maple woodwork in the kitchen and front area of the place! Plenty of wood for the stoves kept us really warm. Feeding your Highland cows was a highlight for the little folks!

It was a fun place for a lot of people to stay. The only negative was the owner not having the air conditioning units in the windows of the bedrooms especially since it was so hot.

Our group of 8 had a delightful stay at the Antique Farmhouse! Robin was very friendly and responsive. It’s a large house, with plenty of room to spread out and explore. The kitchen is large, and very well equipped. We enjoyed cooking meals together as a group. The property itself is beautiful, and the cows are fun. All in all, a great trip!

Farmhouse Fantastic

Our second time for a family event here and it was just as magnificent as ever. The house is extremely well appointed, has a wonderful distribution of rooms, and can accommodate large groups. (We were 12 plus a dog). We’ll be back!

Family Reunion

We had 15 people stay for three nights for a family reunion - 9 adults and 6 kids. The house worked well, as all had reasonably private spaces. The countryside is beautiful. Visits to a lake for swimming and several local waterfalls worked well for all.

Berkshire Breakaway

We have 20 years experience renting homes for family gatherings and this is the most interesting and amazing property. Gardens galore, plenty of space to congregate or go off by yourself, fully appointed kitchen, and comfortable space. We were a party of ten and everyone loved the experience.

Beautiful farmhouse

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this home again. The house is spacious and well-suited for family time, hosting, or just relaxing. It’s furnished with a lot of historical details and ephemera which was charming and helps make the home a really interesting place to stay. One of our favorite parts was simply watching the cows graze at the nearby farm — very peaceful. The host was responsive and went out of his way to make sure everything was ready at arrival.

Sheffield Farm House

Place was very interesting and eclectic! Beautiful home with many rooms and many things to look at and admire! Lots of books, Knick knacks etc. It worked out well for the 8 of us in town for a family wedding in Sheffield. The owner, Robin was a really interesting guy and fun to talk to.

High School Reunion

There were 6 adults and 2 infants in our party, we were in town for our 25 year high school reunion. The house was incredible and the host went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. This place is a hidden gem and deserves all of the praise.

Lovely, spacious, comfortable House...

I'd describe the house as elegantly eclectic. The owner is clearly a collector of interesting items which they arrange in a way that enhance (rather than potentially clutter) the interior. The kitchen and living spaces are open and easy to mingle around. The four bedrooms and three bathrooms easily and comfortably accommodated two couples and two singles. Our stay could not have been better!

Fantastic stay in the Berkshires

Beautifully renovated old farmhouse in Sheffield, MA. Very well cared for, very clean and very comfortable. We were a party of 8 adults, one child, plus two dogs. Great kitchen for cooking. Plenty of space and rooms to get away from the crowd to find some peace and quiet. It is a large property but does not feel that way. Just lovely. We arrived on a very cold day, and Robin, the owner, had fired up the wood stove to welcome us. Robin is very responsive but laid back at the same time. In other words, the perfect host. Cannot wait to go back!

The house is lovely. Cool and relaxing. We had an issue with the fireplace an hadTo evaluate. The owner was on vacation and had an assistant show us in. Did not discuss how specific the fireplaces were. We had a backdraft and had to evacuate. The owner was not concerned

A large, rambling farmhouse with many things in it. The kitchen was well-appointed. There were not so many comfortable places to sit either indoors or outdoors. The owner was very responsive. The beds could use updating. Very bucolic!

A Month In Berkshire South County

My extended family very much enjoyed our month at the farmhouse. The environs are beautiful, the farmhouse itself is well appointed and comfortable - and it and can comfortably sleep a very large number of guests. Robin was an attentive and engaging host who gave us quite a bit of local insider information which made our stay more enjoyable (for example we had a 2 1/2 year old and robin arranged for us to get a pass to local lake beach - which was a life saver on the days it was hot). In summary we throughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse and very much enjoyed the hospitality of the berkshires.
