Great stay

This was a great place to stay! Lovely area within walking distance to many great spots, and the property itself was wonderful and very relaxing.

Appreciated the off-street parking. Shower well-supplied. Kitchen use would have been enhanced with cloth towel(s), napkins, pot holders. WiFi connection needed host's intervention. Location close to Duke's East Campus with its walkable pathway, and a nearby commercial area was a plus.

It was difficult communicating with the host. When we received a response it was chatbot generated and did not solve our issue. We did not have WiFi the entire stay of 4 days and the electricity went out one day.

Great Location

Amazing location in Durham, walkable and pretty. Neighborhood is a mix of places. This property is adequate but could be so so much cuter with a little more care. Linens outdated and kitchen pretty bare. Still, comfortable enough and happily took our dog. Heavy use of air fresheners that felt suffocating upon arrival but we aired the place out. All in all a good stay.

Met all expectations

Property was essentially as advertised and in the area we needed access to. Furniture in LR was positioned awkwardly however - not like the pictures and overhead lighting was harsh. Could do with a few floor lamps and another bedside stand with lamp. Otherwise we had a good experience and owners were very responsive.

Beautiful place in the heart of it all

Loved this place, we rent from VRBO all over the east coast and I actually liked this place enough to be in my top three. One thing I really liked as soon as I walked in was the house was so clean, no spider webs or “forgotten” corners, this house was a 10/10 for cleanliness. The neighborhood is in a beautifully located area perfect for walking your dog or going for a morning run. If I had to pick apart my stay the only thing I’d suggest is a small lamp for living room because ceiling fan was a little too bright, that’s it my one big complaint lol. Check in was a snap and host was super easy to communicate with. All in all I give this rental a 10/10 for what I want on my vacation.

Do NOT stay with this host!!

This was the worst experience. I arrived at my rental only to find it occupied! The host sent me to an unacceptable second property. The second property was smoke permeated, it had no soap, the toilet seat was missing. I asked for a refund after the first night, but after accusing me of not vacating the property (which was not me), the host quit communicating. Unfortunately, I did not pay for my second booking through VRBO so I am just out of the funds. Horrible experience.

While we regret it wasn’t to your liking, our team responded as quickly and responsibly as possible given the circumstances. Very cute place with hardwood floors and spacious layout. Reminded me of my nana’s house, esp the dated kitchen (in a good way). having a dishwasher and washer/dryer was super helpful. Bed was insanely comfortable. Great location next to east campus. Area is very charming and pleasant to walk. Host company was pretty slow in responding. But we stayed 2 months and had minimal problems. Would stay again.

Great location in Durham

This is a lovely place to stay. Clean, well kept, with what appears to be mostly new furnishings and equipment. The house is close to the Duke east campus and shopping and restaurants on Broad and Ninth Streets. Close to downtown, but located in the much quieter Trinity Park neighborhood. Would happily stay here again.
