Beautiful, quiet, clean! Well located for all Yosemite adventures. Property management team very kind and responsive. Beautiful outdoor dining space. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of space to spread out. Great front porch. Easy to find.

We really loved this house. The location was perfect- close to many park attractions while being very private and quiet. Though the house has a cozy and rustic feel, it is beautifully equipped. We loved the puzzles and books, and it was easy to find everything. We brought in our own food and were happy with that choice since the house isn’t convenient to restaurants. I would suggest to anyone who plans to cook that, although the kitchen is well appointed, it doesn’t have basic pantry items such as cooking oil and spices, and those things should be brought in. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to visit Yosemite and stay in the park, and wants some peace and quiet at the end of the day.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Would have given a 5 but the pillows were awful and the pots and pans were bad. Everything else was great. It was a very quiet cabin and had everything one would need. Stayed three nights.

Highly recommended location and home. Beautiful setting and home.

Our stay was a highlight of our trip. What a wonderful home in every way from the rooms, variety of dishes, gas grill, outdoor seating and setting, etc. loved the quiet neighborhood and access to river and hikes. The hosts were wonderful also.

Best place to stay! Lots of room. Clean and welcoming. A backyard to have a bbq. Next time I’m bringing my grandson’s dog. That dog would have had his own room! Amazing experience.

Great family cabin in Wawona

Super comfortable, clean, and well appointed cabin for our family of 5 inside the park, which was clutch to avoid the traffic at the park entry gate. Enjoyed exploring the Wawona area the first day to unwind before taking the 45 minute drive into the valley the following day for spectacular mountain and waterfall views. Great stay overall. Highly recommended.

Great Week in Wawona

The home was comfortable, well furnished, and cozy. A few small refinements I would recommend: The dish soap dispenser was a continual irritant: too flimsy and did not pump well. I would replace the can opener, it was difficult to operate. The dish towels were very worn and thin. We would have appreciated if hand towels had been available in the bathrooms. The bedrooms were great, beds were comfortable and the bedding was very nice. We loved the shower amenities of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were appreciated. WiFi was very good and stayed online during a very strong storm. I would add the “no campfires”to the description in the listing, so there can be no confusion. The small electric fireplace stove was very enjoyable. We loved our stay and the location was ideal.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin! Very spacious for us and our two dogs, and it would accommodate a family with children very well. The furnishings were cozy and inviting, and the infrared stove was nice to have for early mornings and late evenings. The loft was great for watching tv - so many available channels! It was also very convenient, located near the historic Wawona Hotel (closed for renovations), the Wawona historic district - don't miss the covered bridge - and only about an hour from Glacier Point and Yosemite Valley, both beautiful drives. There is a well-stocked store at the end of the road where the cabin is located, and there are shuttles to Yosemite Valley from there, too. We will definitely return, and we have been telling our friends, too!

The perfect Yosemite vacation! We could not be happier with the cabin, location and hosts. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. There is also a fully functional kitchen with everything needed. The grounds around the cabin are perfect for outdoor activities, grilling and games. The location is almost as close to Yosemite Valley without being in the valley itself and is also peaceful, quiet and private. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!

A lovely return visit for us that did not disappoint! We enjoyed the outdoor gathering options in the shared clearing, eating outdoors and enjoying the morning and evening light. Plenty of wildlife to observe including the Raven pair. Cozy and warm with a rustic vibe. The nearby hike to Swinging Bridge is a must do along with Meadow loop and Chilnualna Falls. The Mariposa Grove is nearby and Glacier Point is on the way to Yosemite valley. Make sure to walk across the covered bridge to the kid favorite History Center. We loved having a piano and loft for movie night where everyone can join in! Book early! Thank you!

Perfect Family Get-Together

From first glance inside the cabin door, to the discovery of a swimming hole less than a mile away, to holding babies on the porch and cooking group meals, “A Place to Call Home” was everything our family wanted and needed. It was perfect. Only snaffoo was in missing the written directions about, “First cabin on the right of the entrance road.” Be sure to not completely trust your gps. Thank you for a fabulous time celebrating family and new twin babies!

Keeping family traditions!

Our family has been coming to Wawona for over 50 years and this was our first time staying on this side if the river. We rented both Peace of Mine and Place Called Home together which gave our family the space and togetherness that we look for in our gathering. Access to the river is excellent from this location. The cabin land is quiet, well maintained and inviting. Hammocks, piano, and corn-hole games are a big plus. Our kids loved playing here and our dogs were joyous. The large deck and dining table at Peace of Mine was perfect for our family dinners and hangouts. The historical bedroom in Place Called Home was like visiting a piece of California history. These cabins helped to bring forth the magic of Wawona and the peace of Yosemite's mountains. I look forward to going back.

Inside Yosemite in May less than an hour to Valley

Arrived from FL through Fresno (FAT) Airport which is 1.5 hrs. drive to the cabin, stopped at Hillside Supermarket (28420 Yosemite Springs Pkwy) on the way for groceries, it's the last well stocked one from Fresno. Cabin directions and location are excellent! Inside Yosemite between the Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point Rd, about 50 minutes to Yosemite Valley area and Curry Village. We had 6 adults with plenty of room and the property sleeps 9 with good privacy and accommodations. Kitchen is well stocked just as listed and very clean and comfortable. We had easy access to Yosemite without having to worry about entrance lines and reservations each day (which begin later in the summer). Also hiked Hetch Hetchy reservoir to Wapama Falls which was about 1-1.5 hrs drive away. Our group hiked to base of Half Dome, valley floor to top of El Cap via upper Yosemite Falls (took 12 hours), Mist Trail to Vernal Falls and down the John Muir Trail, Mirror Lake, etc. We saw deer near the property and were able to see bears at Mirror Lake and upper Yosemite Falls, coyotes in valley, a fox and a weasel. The owners are responsive and good communicators. There is a ‘sister’ cabin for rent too so you can have a larger group comfortably. I highly recommend this cabin!! It’s hard to know what’s a good location until you go and this was perfect. At the base of the cabin road is a gas station and little grocery for used up or forgotten items. Don't hesitate, book it now!!

Cozy + Quiet in Yosemite!

Yosemite is huge! This cabin is a 15 minute drive to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, 35 minutes drive to groceries (Oakhurst), 2 minute drive to a smaller convenience store. About 40 minutes to Curry Village in Yosemite which was very close to many incredible hikes. The cabin itself was super cute, quiet and comfortable. Communication with hosts was very easy. Would definitely stay again!
