This place was exactly what the family needed. This was part of an epic mother-son trip with my 3 teens and it reminded me of our camping adventures when they were all little, but rather than a tent, we had a super comfy loft, a great kitchen, perfect family gathering area, a hot tub and our own beds. We did have to pay admission to the park, but if you have a park pass, no biggie. While we loved Yosemite, I wish we could've spent more time relaxing at the cabin and exploring the immediate area. There's really a lot to do in very close proximity. Next time, I'd stay 3 nights instead of 2.

This place was awesome! Off the beaten path, but still close to all the key Yosemite attractions. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day of hiking and our kids loved playing near the creek that ran right by the house. Perfect spot for families with younger kids!

Summary of this amazing property... it is located in the Wawona district of Yosemite National Park. It is a comfortable cabin... it has a fenced yard for pets... it has a hot tub... it is located in a private area with neighbors but seems private... it is next to a small running stream that is so peaceful to listen to... beds are comfortable... kitchen is adequately stocked... all of this in Yosemite National Park. A wonderful one of a kind place. Loved it.

Perfect Yosemite Getaway

We absolutely loved the Birdhouse! The property is so unique, and it was the perfect place to unwind after long days of hiking and exploring the park. It was also fantastic to be inside the park and to avoid the entry each morning. We loved the hot tub, upgraded bathroom, rustic charm, and creek opposite the spacious deck. It was just my fiance and me, but this property would be great for families.

Great pet friendly get away

Overall we were impressed with the overall condition, cleanliness and amenities, dog area was even clean. Home was off main roads and consistently quiet, dog area had high fences that allowed dogs to enjoy the outdoors/wildlife but were safe. Wife fell in love with the heated bathroom floors. We definitely will be planning another, longer trip in the future.

Birdhouse in the Park

Perfect 2 night stay in a rustic neighborhood within spectacular Yosemite. Very close to Mariposa Grove, this unique home had everything we needed/wanted and more. Communal sleeping loft with comfy beds upstairs, and open concept living space with well equipped kitchen, huge couch with recliners, woodstove, and updated bathroom with heated tile floor make for perfect park quarters. We enjoyed an evening soak in the hot tub after a long day hike. Our dog felt welcome too! As a VRBO host myself, I would highly recommend this property.

Couples getaway

When booking our stay, we loved the concept of the cabin and the fact we were not going to be on top of neighboring rentals. When we got there, the birdhouse cabin exceeded our expectations. It was updated, clean and welcoming. The hot tub for evening relaxation was amazing. Come to find out the property is dog friendly. Next time will forsure bring our fur babies. I highly recommend this rental. Everything from Reservations to checking in and checking out was seamless. Had everything neededbfor a comfortable stay. We will absolutely be back again.

Long weekend in April

Overall a good experience. The good: the location is wonderful, with a general store and small grocery in the neighborhood we wish had been in the listing description. It is close to an amazing waterfall trailhead. The structure is very unique and appears to be well maintained. The not so good: The valve on the propane tank was stuck so we were left to cook steaks in the oven, so that was disappointing. The couch and TV configuration are a little odd and all beds are in the loft, so no privacy, but we expected that. The hot tub filters needed cleaned badly and the water needed changed. The water was cloudy and had a strong odor. The grounds in general could use some attention and cleanup. Although there’s a fire pit in the yard, the book in the cabin said absolutely no exterior fires, even though we were in a low fire hazard time.

Highly recommend staying in park and this was a terrific location.L Loved the ability to access the park. Very peaceful and relaxing cabin!
