Wonderful property perfectly positioned within Palmetto Dunes. Lovely views of a lagoon complete with alligator sightings (from a safe distance). The kitchen had everything we needed and it was a huge plus that there were enough bathrooms for the bedrooms/guests. Communication with the owner was easy and efficient!

We have been staying on HHI for 15 years and this property is by far the most magical place we have stayed and Rod is fantastic. We will definitely only be staying here from now on. I highly recommend.

Great vacation spot

We had a wonderful trip. The house was one level which made it very comfortable without all the steps. The kitchen was well appointed and the pool area was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Fabulous Hilton Head Palmetto Dunes Stay

The property was all we expected it would be. Beautiful serene property just a few rows of an easy walk or bike ride to the beach. Beds were comfortable. Loved the one level, pool, lagoon, and quiet area of the beach. Perfect for our family gathering for the week!

One week HHI get away

I stayed in this property with my husband and 3 children (10, 14, 18). This is a beautiful home and we enjoyed our week here. Everyone was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved the backyard. The pool is great and there is great bird watching on the lagoon. The walk to the beach is quick and my kids didn't even mind it!

Amazing attention to detail

My family of 4, plus pet, enjoyed our stay very much. The house and location were beautiful. Every detail was perfect. It was our first time in Palmetto Dunes -- after many years of staying in other plantations on Hilton Head -- and we all agreed this was our favorite place yet. Highly recommend!

Palmetto Dunes Vacation

The property was very clean and in wonderful condition. This is our 30th stay on Palmetto Dunes and this by far was the nicest house we stayed in. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving, but not on this house. It did not disappoint!

We enjoyed everything about this property! The ease of communication, location, view and the home’s amenities. It was a perfect setting for our family with adult children and dog. We can’t think of anything that this house was missing! It was a super easy walk to the beach.

A high standard

We were a family of 4 from Germany and stayed in the house for one week. The house was perfect for our needs. The house is well renovated with a new kitchen and renovated baths. Specially the screened porch and the pool were perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would come back again.

Nicely appointed home with lovely setting…

Great location with 10-minute walk to nice beach. Also close to Shelter Cove shops and restaurants. Home is updated and the kitchen, living areas are nicely appointed. But the star of the show is the setting, with a beautiful pool and right on a large lagoon. The neighborhood is beautiful and a lot of fun to bike around taking in the multi-million dollar homes. Sip your morning coffee and watch the blue herons glide along the water.

Quiet Retreat

The perfect holiday getaway for our small multi-generation family. Nice to all be on single level for elderly parents. My father enjoyed watching wildlife (deer and birds) from patio and short walk to beach. Home is very clean and updated. Kitchen well-equipped with plenty of serving dishes and cookware. Would love to visit when a little warmer to enjoy outdoor spaces and screened-in porch off the kitchen.

Perfect Vacation Home

I spend hours online looking for rental homes that allow dogs, and feel so lucky to have finally found this one! It is super clean and meticulously cared for. The location on the lagoon made for a beautiful view and fun for the kids to fish right from the back yard. The home is a quick 6-7 minute walk to the beach, but the pool, screened porch, and patio are tough to leave! We enjoyed every minute of our summer vacation this year and will definitely rent here again. Thanks to Michele and Rod for being such fantastic hosts!

Wonderful location and outstanding property

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The Palmetto Dunes resort is very nice and upscale. We had a short walk to the beach and also enjoyed just sitting in the back of the house watching the birds, fish, and butterflies along the waterway. The house was very well maintained and had just about everything you might possible need. The layout of the bedrooms, etc. was great, allowing the couple and single traveler in our group to have privacy. This was probably the nicest VRBO we have ever experienced. My only minor concerns were that the front door lock needs to be repaired, and no shampoo (or conditioner) was provided (although that was only a minor inconvenience that was easily remedied).

Beautiful, Peaceful Retreat

We had a super time on Sea Lane! The home was beautifully appointed, including everything we needed for the week! The pictures do not do it justice! They certainly give you a good idea of the home, but it was such a surprise to see the spacious living areas, new bathrooms, and outdoor oasis in person. Our teens thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. We desperately needed to connect as a family, and the home provided the respite we desired, and much more! We loved biking the trails, and through the neighborhood each day, as well as riding on the beach. It was our first time to Hilton Head, and we loved Palmetto Dunes! You will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time and plan to come back next year. The house was well furnished, with comfortable sofas and chairs, giving you plenty of places to read, nap, or work on your computer. The kitchen was well stocked and the fridge was large and the equally large freezer had an icemaker. We were a little disappointed in the dining area. We couldn't use it. The light over the table was hanging down exposing the wires and understandably wouldn't turn on. The wall had a hole in it and the ceiling was sagging. We'd wanted to eat and watch hockey since we live where the Hurricanes play. But we ate and played games on. the porch which is a fantastic part of the house. ****We saw an incredible amount of wildlife and the pool and patio were fantastic.The bedrooms were nice, with comfortable beds, their own TVs and very nice updated bathrooms.The laundry room has a great washer and dryer and there's an extra fridg/freezer in the garage. The lagoon is peaceful and perfect for fishing and watching the various wildlife. It's a short walk to the beach with plenty of beach chairs and cushions for around the pool are provided.There are lots of restaurants, shopping centers, grocery stores, and entertainment facilities all around Palmetto Dunes.As I said.... we'll be back next year.**** I hope this part of my review will be removed if there is some repair to this area, because the house is a wonderful place to spend a vacation.Jordans6/26

Great Hilton Head Get-Away!

Perfect location to enjoy Hilton Head. Short walk to the beach and close to varied shopping and restaurants. A nice home away from home, well-appointed, modern and comfortable. Beautiful views in a quiet neighborhood.

Awesome week in Palmetto Dunes

The house and location are perfect. Had a wonderful time with our older parents and our fur babies. Everyone enjoyed our stay at 42 Sea Lane! The view from the pool and porch are amazing. Easy walk to the beach once we figured out which direction to go! LOL. The owners were very responsive with answering our questions and very accommodating. Wonderful place to stay, would for sure book again!

Perfection

This was the first time we’ve been to Hilton Head. We weren’t exactly sure where we wanted to stay. Well we picked the perfect place! The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. The beach access was very close. We rode our bikes throughout the community as well as the beach. The owners were very responsive with answering any questions/concerns we had. We all agreed that we would stay at this vacation property again. Thank you!!!!
