Such a wonderful and charming place to stay! They thought of everything and you could feel the love poured into this home. The history was fantastic to study. The farm animals are the best part!

The Farmhouse was AMAZING! It is so much more than a place to stay; it’s an immersive EXPERIENCE!! We have stayed in rentals all over the U.S. and Europe, and Paul’s place is truly one of the most special. Sooo many thoughtful, beautiful touches to make it feel like home while still looking like a step back in time to simpler days. Gorgeous antiques and furniture and seriously the most immaculately clean place…I don’t know they do it! They were a delight to communicate with! Loved getting to chat with them about the animals and property. The animals were so sweet to pet and visit. And the property was so peaceful and lush that it felt rural and yet was only 3 minutes from town. Truly an extra-special experience and we so hope to be back in the future! The house was gorgeous; we loved how they maintained the original farmhouse structure of the home with modern amenities and beautiful interior decor. The cute farm animals were a plus as well!

Our family (6 adults) stayed just one night and we wished we had had time for a longer stay. The property is even better than described. The historical renovation is perfect and it is well decorated with appropriate antiques. We enjoyed visiting the farm's animals as well as the deer that visited us in the evening. The porch was a hit: we sat on the porch in the dark to watch the fireflies rise and enjoyed it again for early morning coffee. If we had been able to stay another night we would have loved to have a campfire in the area provided just uphill. The area has a peaceful vibe that elevated our porch sitting to an art form. Seriously, book this property. It's clean, it's unique, lots of bonus perks including farm animals, farm fresh eggs, and there's even a hammock uphill near the woods. Relaxing country atmosphere. And a to-die-for master.

What a slice of heaven nestled in Banner Elk! From the impeccable decor, the history, the treat basket, and the little farm with animals- these owners have thought of everything. We even got a personal visit to make sure we were prepared for inclement weather. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Highly recommend. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay with four adults and two kids (ages 10 and 8). We visited for Tweetsie’s Ghost Train and loved setting the mood by reading spooky stories to the kids while relaxing in the front porch rocking chairs. The home is full of character and charm. Our kids especially enjoyed the animals and the hammock. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Our stay at the farmhouse was magical. The house is delightfully decorated. It is so comfy, beautiful, and cozy. We loved how immersed we were with nature, the access to the animals was amazing. We also stargazed one of the nights. It will be a core memory for our family. The hosts were also amazing and made the whole experience a breeze.

We loved our stay at the farmhouse! The home is impeccably maintained and there were too many lovely touches and comforts to the home to list. In addition to all the lovely things you see in the pictures and read in the reviews, we had a welcome package, food to feed the animals, well stocked kitchen, high quality towels and linens, and specialty soaps to enjoy. We enjoyed discovering the historical artifacts preserved on the property. Each room has its own character and charm. Extraordinary! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful historic home that’s super cozy and inviting. The updates they’ve done provide modern amenities yet you feel like you could be back in time with the stone fireplace and log cabin walls. The soak tub in the master bedroom with views of the woods was one of my favorite parts. Highly recommend this place!
