4 Bed, 4 Bath, sleeps 8, with a poo/ spa and next to secret beach 5 minute walk. Nice Views of Pacific Ocean, Mauna Kea or just relax with this amazing property in the sunny beach area of Hilo. Peaceful Hawaiian hideaway with plenty of room, ocean views, and privacy! Hilo Ali'i Makai can be summarized as a destination of serenity near many of the Big Islands favorite sights to see! Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, Onomea Gardens.
Arrive to find a traditional island styled home with private estate villa with all the comforts you need . Walk inside and you will find comfortable professionally decorated living quarters that encourage you to kick off your shoes, relax, and feel right at home! A large kitchen with vaulted ceiling’s, bar seating and eat-in dinning is great for families . Off of the kitchen you will find a welcoming outdoor dinning area which can accommodate everyone! There is something very special about enjoying a nice evening meal here after a day of family adventure! Wide open star lit skies, gentle Tradewinds, and the total absence from any negative noise pollution are all qualities that come from being on such a great location on a cud de sac street next to the beach, add to the quaint feeling this home provides! We find they can bring great joy to little ones and adults alike! A tranquil spot for you next Hawaiian vacation.!
Vaulted ceilings upstairs add to the spacious feel. The master suite features a high-end king bed and sliding doors leading to a rap around lani side to view the ocean, big lanai off the back to enjoy the morning coffee viewing the pool and garden. This master also features an on-suite double sink spa bath tub with a double walk in shower and high quality finishes. The second bedroom features a comfortable queen bed and windows facing the lani. The third bedroom has a comfortable twin bed with sliding door leading to the lanai! A second bathroom is positioned by these bedrooms. The fourth room has a king size bed with a amazing walk in shower with several water jets shower. This is a open room we have privacy screen, please see pictures. A washer and Dryer is available, with A/C in some of the rooms. We provide crisp clean linens, towels, shampoo, soaps, hangers, hairdryer, and pride ourselves on making sure you have the amenities you would expect to make sure you have a great stay!
We love to share our beautiful private house and love extending Aloha to all of our guests.

Our two-generation family stayed here in May and especially enjoyed the pool and being within easy walking distance of the ocean. Watching the sunrise on the ocean was wonderful. The master bedroom and bath are large and very nice. I was concerned about privacy for the couple staying in the adjoining room to the master, but it was not an issue. The laundry room with two twin beds was tight and one of the boys choose to sleep in living room instead, which was fine. We couldn't regulate the temperature of the hot tub which didn't have a lid and cooled off with rain water, but it was still enjoyable. The host was responsive. I recommend this property. We stayed in several rentals while on the Big Island and enjoyed this one the most.

Family time

Came to have a memorial for a family member. It was a great place to stay and reconnect. Eight of us stayed here and had plenty of room and didn’t feel cramped. Close to secret beach and a very central location. Enjoyed it very much!!!

The house was amazing. Location and walking distance to 3 different beaches was perfect. Close to downtown Hilo for great restaurants. Good day strips to black sand with lots of Sea turtles and the Volcanoes park. The pool was a great relief with privacy and the hot tub worked great. Bathrooms were awesome with rain jeans, body sprays and tile galore. Upstairs beds were very cool. Only downside was the A/C in the lower part of the house, but still was ok.

Excellent stay for us.

We are not resortish people and this was a great alternative. everything we needed was in walking distance or short drive. Nights were peaceful and we enjoyed the privacy of the pool and hot tub. The odd plane flying over when the winds were rarely in that direction was actually quite a site rather than annoyance. Jomo looked after a couple of requests immediately. Thanks for a great stay.

Hilo stay

Great property for family stay. Lots of beds, bathrooms, sofas, table and chairs, and pool/hot tub. Air conditioners upstairs kept upstairs nice and cool. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Private beach at end of cul de sac was great for snorkeling and sunsets. Only thing I would suggest is to put an A/C unit in one of the bedrooms by the pool; this would also help cool the kitchen area which stays very warm.

Quirky, beautiful house near several beaches.

This house was a quirky place with a mix of luxury and quaintness. The pool was a bit disappointing, as it needed cleaning, but the beach was not far away. Once you found the right light switches, everything worked as it should. AC was good in most of the house except the kitchen and adjacent bedrooms. It never really cools down in there. We would stay here again.

This place was great

Robert was communicative and helpful. Overall, we loved it and everything was as good as advertised accept two things: 1. it might be helpful to know is the disproportionate size of the Master bedroom suite (which was huge) compared to the rest of the rooms. 2. The room with two beds is tiny and has the washer and dryer in it, so depending on who is staying there, it could be an inconvenience.

Enjoy Hilo. Beaches and snorkeling. Watch for January Whales and turtles.

Great, clean house with 4 bathrooms, great kitchen. Large tables inside and out for a crew. But the property is dated. I acknowledge that upkeep near Hawaii shoreline is a challenge. The pool interior is ready for redo...but kids will not care and easy to monitor from comfortable locations. The pool water was clean since it recycles every day. This is a large, roomy house for group, but HOT bedrooms on main floor, since AC is not centrally located. The dryer vents into the laundry/twin bedroom, making it a sauna. House is in a wonderful location to drive to many rocky swim areas with many small fish and several sea turtles in January. Most have showers/foot washers. The road toward Hilo turns into a crazy busy highway, if trying to bike into downtown Hilo. Location was good for driving to groceries, sites and the Farmers Market.The neighborhood was quiet with a few cars parking for Chock's beach. It was a loud military flight path for a few nights.Well stocked house cook wear, dishes, good appliances. lots of towels. Grill worked well.

Awesome house. Relaxing in the pool every day for 10 days. What a location. So beautiful. Robert is an awesome host and it was a privilege to stay in his beautiful home!

Beautiful Property, just wished the hot tub was a hot tub

The property was beautiful and conveniently located for where we needed to do work. The communication was great and prompt. Just the pic of a hot tub with the pool was misleading. I was willing to spend the extra money to stay in a more expensive listing for the amenity. Disappointed that is was not a functioning hot tub. But overall, it was a good stay. Thank you, Robert!
