Welcome to Casa Blanca, a spacious six-bedroom, four-bathroom luxury retreat designed for families and groups who want both comfort and entertainment. With more than 4,000 square feet of living space, this home offers room to gather, relax, and create lasting memories—all just minutes from downtown Decatur and Atlanta.

Step inside and you’ll find a bright, inviting main level where the open living and dining areas connect seamlessly with a well-equipped kitchen. The large dining table makes mealtimes easy, whether you’re cooking at home or enjoying takeout from one of the nearby restaurants.

The real highlight of Casa Blanca is its entertainment space. The finished basement is set up as a full game room, complete with a pool table, ping pong, and arcade-style fun that’s perfect for both kids and adults. After a day exploring Atlanta’s attractions, everyone can come together here to unwind and play.

Stay was good except we couldn’t get access to the game room. Benches to the patio outside were messed up and cracked when it was sat on. Other than than the stay was great!

Thanks for your feedback. We do want to clarify a couple of points for future guests. Access to the basement/game room is clearly outlined in our detailed check-in guide, which is provided in the VRBO app prior to arrival. When you reached out, we immediately walked you through those same instructions to ensure you could access the space. Regarding the patio seating, we appreciate you bringing that to our attention. The benches have since been replaced. We’re glad to hear you otherwise had a great stay, and we’re always available to assist guests in real time to make sure they can fully enjoy all aspects of the home.

Great space

We hosted a work retreat in this space. House was clean, property manager was accessible and friendly, space was roomy enough to fit 12 and sleep our 7 comfortably. Bathrooms were nice, kitchen was up to date. We enjoyed our stay!

The house looks newer in the online photos but it is a much older home. When entering for the first time the home smelled like it had been sitting for a while...a sort of moldy aroma. One of the doors and most of the windows were not secured...we had to discover this on our own. The shower floors were not clean. Overall, it was not a very comfortable stay.

Thank you for your feedback. We do want to address a few of these points for clarity. Our listing clearly reflects that this is a renovated older home, not new construction, and the photos accurately represent the space and its character. Regarding the odor, we did not receive any communication during your stay about this. Both our cleaning team and subsequent guests have not reported any such issue, and we would have promptly addressed it had we been notified in real time. As for security, all doors and windows are checked and secured as part of our standard turnover process. It’s not uncommon for guests to open windows during their stay, but we have not had any prior concerns in this regard. Cleanliness is something we take very seriously. If there were any issues with the shower floors, we would have immediately sent our team back out to correct it, but again, this was not brought to our attention during your stay. We’re always available and responsive to ensure guests are comfortable, and we encourage reaching out during the stay so any concerns can be resolved right away.

My 50th!!

I live here in Decatur but needed more space to host my guest for my 50th. The host stay in contact from the time of booking until check out. Once I walked in, we were provided with every item a person could need while away from home. I mean everything. This place added a special moment for my 50th occasion. No other place or host would’ve been better for my family. This place is awesome. I appreciate your hospitality! I’m trying to book again already and it’s only been 1 day since I checked out😁

This Vrbo looks great in pictures but it is NOT luxury. Older home that was poorly renovated and furnished. Some of the safety issues: trip hazards-front walkway and entrance stairs, uneven rugs, unsafe staircases up/down 2 levels, huge glass foyer sidebar that wasn’t attached to wall with a label stating it wasn’t safe, cracked glass stovetop, broken furniture, floors are not level. Maintenance issues: ice maker didn’t work, no oven and stovetop lights, pool table not level, master bath shower and sink fixtures installed wrong, all room fans were outdoor fans that had no speed control- you couldn’t have it on comfortably because it was too strong, dryer lint ball obviously hadn’t been cleaned and obstructed vent, not enough silverware or towels, for 14 people. Not enough seating for 14 people to eat at the same time. One table with 4 chairs and countertop in kitchen with 2 barstools. There were no extra sheets or linens. Odd smell to the house. The list of problems too numerous to post. The square footage is poorly utilized. Do not be fooled by pictures. This place is not what it looks like. Vrbo needs to do better in screening their listings. Very disappointed. Would never recommend this place. Only positive things: our host Michael was responsive to initial requests but after the first day it was obvious he couldn’t fix any safety hazards, or problems with this house. The backyard outdoor space was nice with 2 new umbrella picnic tables. Look elsewhere for accommodations.

Cynthia, we are disappointed to read this review, especially because many of these concerns were either not reported during your stay, are not accurate, or relate to items that are clearly disclosed in our listing. Shortly after check-in, you asked us to come to the property, and we did. We attempted to address your concerns in real time, including offering to purchase ice for you, which you declined. After that initial visit, we were not given a fair opportunity during the stay to inspect or resolve the long list of issues now being raised after checkout. The front steps are in good working condition, and the photos submitted do not show an unsafe staircase. The fireplace is decorative and nonfunctional, which is disclosed in the listing, and there is signage at the property instructing guests not to use it. This home is an older Atlanta property with character, and while it is not a brand-new construction home, it is maintained, accurately photographed, and professionally managed. We take safety, cleanliness, and guest comfort seriously. When legitimate maintenance issues are reported during a stay, we respond quickly and make every reasonable effort to resolve them. However, we cannot agree with broad, unsupported claims made only after a completed stay, particularly when they do not reflect the condition of the home or the service provided. We will continue to host guests who understand the home they booked, communicate concerns promptly, and give us the opportunity to assist during their stay.

I’m a proud University of Georgia grad (Go Dawgs!!!) and also studied Finance and Accounting at the University of Virginia. After school, I moved to Atlanta and worked in finance for several years before discovering my true passion: hosting.

I started back in 2015 by renting out a spare bedroom, which quickly grew into remodeling a basement and eventually helping friends and family design their own vacation homes. What began as a side project turned into Host This Home in 2018, where I now get to focus full-time on creating comfortable, memorable spaces for travelers.

I also serve as Treasurer for the Atlanta Metro Short-Term Rental Association, where I work with other hosts to keep Atlanta’s short-term rental community strong and welcoming.

When you stay with me, my goal is simple: to make you feel right at home while enjoying everything our city has to offer.

This community is known for its spacious homes, many over 4,000 square feet, set on wide front lawns and generous backyards. The neighborhood shines in every season—lush and green in the spring and summer, full of color as the leaves change in fall, and crisp and inviting when cooler weather arrives. Families make up much of the community, and our immediate neighbors are especially warm and welcoming.

Staying here also means convenience is on your side. Major grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday shopping are just minutes away, and with I-20 less than two miles from the house, you’ll have quick access to all the attractions and neighborhoods that make Atlanta such an exciting place to visit.
