We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin, very impressed with the engineering, warmed up quickly on chilly mornings with the heat pump and space heaters, very cozy, would stay again, thanks for having us.

Incredible stay at this beautiful cabin!! Was easy to access and perfect location for a few days near Acadia! Kevin and Julie were perfect hosts and made our stay so enjoyable! We will definitely return!!

Absolutely awesome place. Perfect small little cabin to come home to after long days of hiking mountains and enjoying our time in Maine. We travel all over the country hiking the best views, and where we lay our heads is just as important to us. This place was everything we could have ask for, in a perfect location! Thank you for everything!

Very nice brand new cabin (the cedar smells amazing every time you walk in). Well stocked with everything we needed. Good location to MDI and the town of Ellsworth.

My wife, 5 year old son and I traveled from Pittsburgh, and after a long road trip needed a place to call hike for a few days while we explored Maine. This place was the perfect mix of quiet, but also close enough to Bar Harbor to feel like you've got things to do.

Great location for visiting all of Acadia and some nice State Parks.The only concern was traffic. Pulling out of the property onto the highway. Cars are traveling over the speed limit and there is a blind curve.Hopefully, the county and city will assist in putting up signage, for this wonderful property and host.

Cozy Little Cabin

Our family had a great time at the cabin. It was very clean, stocked with the basics, and Kevin and Julie were great communicators! I definitely recommend this cabin and would stay there again!

Stayed at the Ranger Cabin mid September and it was perfect for our Acadia National Park trip! It was about a 25 minute drive into bar harbor. The cabin was clean and Kevin was a great host and provided great information about check in and check out! Would 100% consider staying here again if I find myself in the area.

Kevin was great checked in on us several times! The cabin matched pictures to a T. It was super clean! Everything you needed was there! Located close to Acadia National Park!!! Close to get restaurants! Would recommend to anyone going to the Parks!!!

First time in Maine

Alvah's Park Ranger Cabin was perfect for our family of three. It was a short drive to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and everything we wanted to do in the area. The property was extremely clean and communication with the owners was easy and timely. Thank you for a wonderful first experience in Maine!

Stay review

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Kevin was attentive and responsive but in no way intrusive to our stay. Would stay here again. Cabin is about 20-30 mins away from Acadia/Bar Harbor but an easy drive and the cabin is located away from hustle and bustle. Ellsworth is close by for grocery or other needs.

Great location Great for couples. If you have Verizon make sure to screen shot directions, code for door, and WiFi password. Our Verizon service was terrible in many locations.

Amazing!

My friends and I traveled to hike Acadia National Park. Kevin and Julie were amazing hosts that provided several local dining, hiking, and sightseeing recommendations. The house was very clean and cozy! They were very responsive and made us feel comfortable during our stay. So happy we chose to stay here!

Magical Cabin

My dad and I deliberated for several weeks about which cabin to stay in in the general Acadia/Bar Harbor region. Fortunately, we made the right choice. This cabin was so incredibly cozy, well-built, and plenty close to Acadia national park (about 25 mins). Everything that my dad and I wondered if the cabin would have was there -- coffee, towels, heat/AC, particular utensils, cutting boards -- the list goes on. We would absolutely stay there again. The host was responsive and gave us wonderful reccomendations for food, hiking, and late night drinks. Thanks so much, Kevin, for building this beautiful Maine retreat!

We loves this place it was in a fantastic location. The only negative it when I can charges 90 for some bedding that they said “stains didn’t come out”. I asked for pictures because we didn’t use spray tan or have anything near our bedding that would stain the sheets. I got no pictures and still know we didn’t do anything to the bedding.
