Centennial Cottage is indeed a great cottage to stay in. Located next to the beach and easy bike ride or drive to the Village with all its restaurants, the Coast Cottages is the perfect location to have a memorable visit to the Golden Isles.

Great property!

Excellent property. Easy walk to the pool and beach. We could walk to a number of restaurants as well. Clean and very comfortable.

Great family Vacay!!

This is the second time that we have stayed at this wonderful cottage! It’s great for large families! Love the house, the area and pool and beach!

We are so glad you came back and do hope to see you again. We are constantly updating the cottage to ensure it meets all families needs. The cottage is just steps to the pools, beach pavilion and private beach access. It is also located within a mile of the Village with all of its shopping and restaurants. Golf and other activities are just minutes away.

Great place to stay!

Went for a weekend vacation St. Simon. The house was very homely and had a great location with very very easy access to the beach. Everything was well setup and it was definitely comfortable for all to sleep.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We bought premium mattresses for a comfortable night's sleep. The cottage is just a few steps from the pool and beach and very convenient to restaurants and shops.

Thank you so much! We live within walking distance to the cottage so we are always available to assist our guests in any way. The Coast Cottages are the best place to stay with its private beach access and pools and its convenient location to the village with all its shops and restaurants.

Another amazing stay!

Our second stay at this property was just as wonderful as the first! Amazing location and amenities. Super close to the beach (complete with newly updated boardwalk), pools, and plenty of restaurants and fun nearby. Easy communication with the property manager with quick responses. Can’t wait to return next summer!

birthday celebration

My celebrated my 60th birthday with a trip to the beach. 6 adults, 6 kids ages 3-10. the house was clean, with great spaces for gathering and quiet time.

sibling getaway

Just checked out centennial cottage this morning. 9 siblings and I weekend retreat and we could not have had a better time. This cottage was perfection for us....very well prepared and stocked with anything we could have needed. Definitely recommend.

Month on the Beach - Wish It Was Longer

Steps from the beach in a very unique neighborhood complex and a short walk or bike ride to great places to eat. Everything was very accurate on-line. The three levels and 5 bedrooms arrangement is a very comfortable and efficient set-up. Property owners were friendly & always responsive. We highly recommend the location.

The house was great and well stocked for our family, and the 2 pools were great! My only minor complaint was how far a walk to the beach was. Nothing you can do about that. Loved the beach.

Perfect Location on St. Simon's Island

We loved staying at this home on St. Simon's Island. Was very happy to be able to rent bikes for a few days through the property mgmt company as the shops/restaurants are a 10 min pedal away. Lots of room to spread out, and the kids liked having a bunk room to themselves. The beds were very comfortable. There are 2 pools at the end of the street and one is designated for young children. New decking around the pool. The home was very clean and well-maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Happy to Sad to Happ!

We had booked this as a long weekend away with the grandkids. It changed into celebrating Grandpas life instead. Many laughs, many tears. The laugh outnumbered the tears & the last words were Let’s come here again. Be prepared for a lot stairs. I’m the only one that minded them.

Beautiful and Wonderful

We loved it from the moment we got there. The rooms were big and the balcony on every floor was wonderful. The only problems we had was first floor never really got cool. The pot and pans were not clean. The waffle maker was not working. But other then that the owner was great and answer every question I asked. We will come back

Beautiful but needs maintenance

The property’s location is great. The layout is nice. But, the maintenance on it was horrible. There were multiple appliances that didn’t function most could be replaced for under $200. There were little to no towels and facecloths. The beach chairs are all rusty and the bugs in the house are what was the most surprising for the amount of money that is paid for a weekend in that house. My suggestion is that the owners find someone who will maintain the property for guests.

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you liked the house and the location. I apologize that the microwave stopped working during your stay. It has been replaced with a new one. We do have a regular pest control service. We recommend guests bring any items that they would like for the beach including chairs. If we are notified of any maintenance issues during your stay, we will promptly take care of any issues that my arise. We appreciate guests like you.

Family vacation

It’s always fun to go to the beach with family and this is a lovely area. The pool and the boardwalk to the beach are great for little ones. The house was nice but a little tired. It’s ready for updates. There are missing drawer handles in the kitchen. The stand alone shower on the third floor does not have hot water and very little water pressure. The sheets are nice and soft because of the many washings but there is no elastic left in the fitted sheets so not very comfortable. We made it work and had a lovely time in St. Simon’s. I would recommend this community but not this particular house.

Very nice property, website and check out requirements should be updated

Very nice house and location. Accommodated the family of 12 well. (Young adults used the bunk bed rooms). Just a few points: The website needs to be more accurate with the master on the 3rd floor as it has no private bath. It's required to strip the beds, put linens in washer, take out trash and vacuum. We think that should be optional as the fees should cover it. The bathroom on the 3rd floor has a walk in shower and a tub/shower. The walk in shower had no hot water. Since we had another shower and only staying 3 nights, we didn't call for service.

Thank you for your feedback. We do ask guests to strip the beds and take out trash upon departure. The maids however will wash the sheets and vacuum and clean the cottage. The shower does have hot water. The knob was loose and has been tightened. Thank you for staying and we hope to host you again!

Great Location

My family really enjoyed our stay. The location was great, just a one minute walk to the pool and maybe 3 minutes to the beach. We spent a lot of time by the water thanks to the short distance! The house is bright, spacious, and comfy. There are lots of stairs which are impossible to avoid due to the kitchen on the second floor and bedrooms on first and third floors. The pots and pans in the kitchen are superior to any place we've stayed before. We were missing kitchen scissors and paper for note taking, but these were minor annoyances. Everything was very clean except for the ceiling fans and vents which are in need of dusting. The property owner was a pleasure to work with, a great communicator, and we would not hesitate to book again with her. If you have never been to St. Simons Island, there is a lot of public beach access and the entire island is walker/biker friendly. There are also several parks with playgrounds if you need a change of pace for the kids. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Great time, great value with a few minor flaws

The location cannot be beat. A few minor things in the house prevented it from being perfect. Some sheets were stained, glasses stained, pots and pans and utensils in subpar condition. The mattresses in the master bedroom were extremely soft, and I understand that's purely a preference, but it is worth noting. Overall, the A/C worked very well, except in the second bedroom upstairs. We used a small box fan which kept it cooler. One set of doors out to the main floor deck would not lock. None of this was a big enough to deal to interrupt our trip and the house was still excellent value compared to other houses in the same neighborhood. But a little further work would elevate this house to greater heights and better value. We had one issue with the power to the TV in the main room and the owner was very quick to come over and personally fix the malfunctioning power strip, which was appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We just remodeled the cottage in the fall of 2019 with new furniture, bedding and sheets as well as new pots and pans. The bed in the upstairs master bedroom is a high end pillow top mattress. The downstairs master has a firmer mattress. We made sure to purchase luxury mattresses for our guests. Sorry that you had trouble locking the door. You must lift the handle on the door to lock the doors. We hope that you will stay at our cottage again and see the new furnishings.
