Collective birthday trip

Me and a few friends stayed here for our collective birthdays and had a fun chill get-away for the weekend. We also had our dog.The place was nice and quiet up in the hills with a great view, but still close enough to town where we were able to enjoy both.

The cabin was the perfect setting to host out-of-town guests for our special event. Paul is a gracious host and the cabin was conveniently stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. The view of the ocean from the deck made for relaxing mornings and stunning sunsets. We plan to return!

The best

This was the second time I stayed at this property and it did not disappoint. The house is magnificent, Paul is a fantastic host and I can’t recommend this property enough. Definitely going to return.

Loved this bohemian hideaway

I had a wonderful time. Paul was a fabulous host. I had my five month old puppy with me and Paul was very accommodating. Paul showed me all of the local beaches where I could take my dog. He told me about local restaurants and attractions that were excellent. I may just return someday.

Dreamy home

Loved this house and adored the host Paul! The house is so cozy and beautiful and the views are insane!!!!! You wake up in the morning looking across rolling hills down to the ocean. You feel a million miles away but can zip down the hill and have amazing restaurants and beaches at your fingertips! Paul, thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us and being a gracious host!

Carrie, thank you so much for the review, and I am so sorry I missed the review period. I never do anything half-ass, so when my laptop died due to water damage, I subconsciously decided that it would be a good idea to lose my phone too! No doubt, it had something to do with seeing how plugged in and efficient your team was. Needless to say, I would have given you raves, 5 stars in all technical categories, and bonuses for being so cool. It was great meeting you and your team, and thanks for choosing my place. Post-wedding dinner party

We had such a great time with family and friends during our stay. It was especially nice because it was so roomy, yet cozy and we didn’t have to worry about parking or noise levels, not that we were so noisy but I know that’s a concern in Santa Barbara. Paul was a welcoming host and our friends had no trouble finding the house with his good directions. Our gathering was of about 20 people.

Fantastic getaway close to the city yet far enough away!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin in summerland. We stayed over new years with our dogs. The property was perfect for our two families since the 3 dogs were interacting for the first time and the split level housing really worked well for us. In addition to the convenience for our dogs, the property has stunning views to enjoy during the day and enjoy the balcony at night with a warm drink. The cabin is clean and well kept although it is old. As mentioned in the listing the drive up to the cabin is a dirt road, so be mindful of that when making the reservation. When it rains (which is rare in SoCal) the path can get a little challenging but no big deal if you have an SUV and drive slow. I highly recommend the property for multiple families who want the peace of countryside but remain close enough to the city to go enjoy a fine dinner.
