Wonderful peppery, wonderful location, Beachcomber folks were easy to work with, answered all questions, helped with everything…a friend and I stayed here, perfect for 2-4 people, a block from the beach, could hear the ocean from house, clean and nicely decorated…. Close to many things such as cannon beach but away from the crowds….we loved it and would rent again!

Perfect location

Nice clean beach cottage just a block down from the Arch Cape beach.

Great stay in Arch Cape

We enjoyed our stay at The Shell in Arch Cape. The house was well appointed and comfortable. The beach access is perfect for long walks on the beach.

Great Spot Right off the Beach

Loved the proximity to the beach. Cozy spot and accommodated my dog and me perfectly. I’d definitely come back!

Loved the Shell

The Shell is a great property, we loved it. It's so close to the beach and we enjoyed listening to the waves at night. The house was clean and in a central location to all the activities we did. It was close enough to cannon beach without all the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. We will definitely stay here again.

Great getaway from our everyday

Away from the crowds but close enough to everything we might need. Very well appointed kitchen, bedrooms and living area. Very clean linens and toweling which is important to us. Loved the barbecue and the fire-pit we used them both.

We checked in on a Saturday for a week long vacation. On Sunday, the house next door had a beeping alarm going off continuously. I called the management since they are familiar with the area, if they could reach the owner or their management or make any other suggestions we could try and we never heard back and the alarm never stopped. (I also asked them to bring me a couple box fans to help drown out the alarm at night, since it was warm enough we needed the windows open and thankfully they did) But we never heard back even a “we tried, we failed” but for over 3000 for a week…. I expected something more. We couldn’t enjoy the outdoors at all at the house. Also, the house could use a deep clean… think dust bunnies in the corner. The positives? Location, Location, Location!

Home Away From Home

What a little gem. I had never stayed in Arch Cape before and had a delightful time. The area is a short drive from Cannon Beach and just wonderful. Scenic beauty everywhere. Beach access is so close it's walking distance. The cottage was very nice. We had everything we needed and plenty of room. The back yard was nice for our mini dachshund. Will definitely be back. Thanks.

Location Perfect For Us

Property is great for two people (and a dog, in our case). It can sleep 6 people but it would be crowded. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen is an easy one to function in. The neighborhood was quiet with quick access to the beach. And for us, it was within walking distance of friends we were visiting. There were some maintenance issues that the property management offered to attend to immediately. We would stay there again.

Clean, fun decor, comfortable home

The place is in a GREAT location! Quiet street, quick access to the beach. Cute, clean with a great color palette inside. We did have a few issues, trouble with the key code to get in, broken coffee grinder, a Keurig but no pods, the fireplace would not turn on. The property management company was great and responded. It was just a hassle to deal with. Unfortunately we could not use the small backyard due to Round Up being used. I guess I naively thought a pet friendly home would extend to the yard. Just disappointing.

Hello Kathy, I am so happy you loved the area. Arch Cape is an amazing place to escape all the traffic and crowds while just being a short drive from town when you are ready! I am happy my maintenance man got the fireplace working and replaced the coffee grinder. We are going to reach out to the homeowner regarding the outside lawn care. We don't believe they are using the round-up but will make sure to check. I hope regardless you had an amazing time staying with us!

Beautiful location private beach access

We had a great stay at the shell. It was just as pictured and even closer beach access than expected. We had a problem with the washer and it really upset us because it was the main reason we booked the place. We have 2 small kids and a dog and only brought a few items each expecting the ammenities that were offered to be in working condition. When we arrived there was a sign on the washer that it wont fully drain if not a full load. Well it still didn't work with a full load and they sent someone only to leave a note saying Out of Order. Its misrepresentation to rent a place saying you have washer and dryer facilities and they knew they weren't working properly, hence the sign. I believe we should be compensated for the major inconvenience for us having to wear dirty clothes over . Still haven't heard back from anyone yet.

This issue will be resolved once we get the parts in. I saw that you wrote this review before we got the chance to call you back on compensation for this inconvenience.
