Perfect spot to sip coffee or cold beverage on the back porch and watch beautiful roseate spoonbills, egrets and herons. Stress free zone!

Love staying here! McCormick is awesome to work with and the location is always well stocked and clean! This is our 3rd or 4th year staying here and we will continue to come back!

Perfect for a couples getaway. Location was perfect. Bring your fishing poles. When renting your golf cart be sure to tell them you need a gas cart as there is no plug outside of the cottage.

Choosing to stay at Rains cottage was perfect! Location to the downtown shops and restaurants worked wonderfully and we loved the view of the water from the back dock. Our pup loved watching the birds and jumping fish. The three of us were very comfortable and appreciated feeling at home during our stay in Cedar Key. Two enthusiastic paws up from the dog, and my husband and I both had a relaxing few days away. Definitely recommend.

It is a BEAUTIFUL cottage, quaint and warm, wonderfully decorated! Easy in and out, property owners are GREAT communicators who made everything a breeze! I highly recommend Rains Cottage as a FANTASTIC place to stay!!!

We had a great stay in Rains Cottage. It was clean, comfortable and perfectly equipped for my husband, our 14 year old son, our dog and I. The location was great. The only negatives we found are the sometimes busy road it’s on and that you couldn’t really fish from the dock. Hubby and son are avid fisherman.

The Rains Cottage was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the view of the water and watching the oyster beds appear at low tide and the water birds. So glad we brought our binoculars. We had a very relaxing trip.

Cozy little bungalow in a great location!

This is the perfect place for a Cedar Key getaway. Close to everything but very quiet and it feels like you have the whole back bayou to yourself when you’re relaxing on the dock. The birdwatching was fantastic.

Off Grid

Needed a get away… not far but far enough. Great location with fantastic deck to enjoy great sunrises. Love Cedar key and this location if perfect.

Cozy getaway

My wife and I came to Cedar Key for a quick trip away from home. Rains Cottage is a wonderful property. It is probably one of the nicest rentals we have been to. The local people were very friendly. There were lots of choices for restaurants. We found a great Tiki Bar up the road which was a lot of fun. We loved staying at Rains Cottage and would stay here again.
