Rilassati e goditi questa fantastica casa sul lungomare con 2 camere da letto e 1 bagno nella storica Cedar Key, in Florida. La casa ha un ampio cortile ombreggiato con darsena privata. La Bonaire House ha i pavimenti in legno originali e le pareti di pino nativo non verniciato che aggiungono calore a questa unica casa originale in Florida. La camera da letto principale ha un letto matrimoniale e la seconda camera ha 2 letti singoli. Alcuni piatti, decorazioni e opere d'arte originali dei proprietari sono ancora esposti, aggiungendo molto fascino a questa "Florida Cracker House"


Guarda l'abbondante fauna selvatica e le belle albe dalla veranda sul retro o dal ponte del molo. Ci sono bellissime gru che si appollaiano sul molo quasi ogni giorno. Goditi una tazza di caffè o fai colazione sulla veranda sul retro che ha una grande altalena e posti a sedere all'aperto e si affaccia sul bayou orientale del Golfo. Con la bassa marea, il Pink Spoon Bill sta curiosando in giro per i pesciolini rimasti indietro.

Sedersi sul molo, catturare granchi o pescare al largo del molo privato. Grigliate il pescato del giorno e fate un picnic o magari un vecchio arrosto alla moda nel grande cortile ombreggiato. Magari fai una partita a Ferri di cavallo! In autunno, goditi un fuoco all'aperto o un arrosto di ostriche. La nuova aggiunta sul ponte alla fine del molo è dotata di una comoda stazione di pulizia del pesce. L'accesso al canale di acque profonde n. 2 è a circa 250 piedi di distanza. Non c'è bisogno di salire in macchina ... noleggio barche e articoli da pesca sono disponibili dall'altra parte della strada al Cedar Key Marina.

I campi da tennis del liceo sono aperti al pubblico, non è nemmeno necessaria una prenotazione! Un campo da basket si trova nel centro della spiaggia, basta partecipare a un gioco di ritiro!

Se stai cercando una casa elegante e di fascia alta, questo non è il posto che fa per te. Ma se stai cercando una vacanza rilassante, divertente, interessante, vecchia moda con la tua famiglia o i tuoi amici, Cedar Key e Bonaire House farebbero al caso tuo!

We had a wonderful stay! We parked our car and ride our bikes everywhere. We spent hours sitting on the dock watching the birds. Rosemary was easy to work with and reached out when there was a hurricane that would potentially impact our trip. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for future trips!

This is a quaint little cottage with a wonderful back porch and dock. The sunrises were amazing and proximity to Dock St. only a mile away. Traffic can be noisy but that's a small price to pay. I stay here every time I come to Cedar Key.

This is a very cute cottage. Having your own beautiful back porch facing the Bayou with everything you need. The private dock is a sweet treat. It is extremely convenient to all the activities and restaurants downtown. The fishing on the pier was fun and they have lots of really nice people that live in Cedar Key.

What a great place! Everything was better than we expected. House location was amazing with views of the water. Close to everything. Marina with live bait and tackle right across the street. Great fishing from a private dock. Entire town extremely friendly. The host (Rosemary) was such a professional and keeps the house immaculate, with everything you need. Responds quickly to questions.

Awesome host. I got the privilege to meet and speak with her personally. Check in and out was a breeze. Cedar Key was a little slow for my pace. They were hard hit by hurricane Helene, and they are still recovering. It is good for fishing, and kayaking and there is a nice public park with a small, but nice beach and swim area.

This cottage is just lovey. So peaceful. You can walk to town . We brought our boat at caught nice speckled sea trout.

The house was lovely and the view out the back was so very nice. The kitchen and bath were well stocked. An issue with the coffee pot was handled immediately. The beds were super comfortable. The cottage is just the right amount of space for us and is fixed up super cute. Though located on the main highway as you’re going into town, we enjoy the backyard view.

First time to Cedar Key. Our host Rosemary provided us great tips on where to eat. The cottage was evacuatePlenty of complementary spices, paper products and ice. Plenty of pots and pans. No dishwasher or washer or dryer. But easy to survive without them over a three to four day stay. Only thing missing was a wine bottle opener. Decore was great. Only improvement would be a walk in shower.

We have stayed here before and love the house and host. The house was hit hard by two hurricanes and the furnishings inside are new. We alternate between sitting on the front porch watching the cars and bikers go by, and the back porch overlooking the water and the wildlife…osprey in the nest if you are lucky!The kitchen has ample cooking supplies and some basic spices for cooking. Coffee was in the fridge when we were there.This is “Old Florida” at it’s best, as is Cedar Key! Make sure to hit the Tiki Bar about a mile or so away as you head out of town. Great sunsets there and they are known for the “Loaded” Bloody Mary!The host is great, and we actually met up with her since she happened to be in town when we were.We take our bicycles and ride pretty much the whole island. It’s one of our favorite places to go, combining good rides with down time.

What a great place. My family and I loved Bonaire Cottage. The Old Florida vibe reminded me of times past but in a modern way. The cottage is spotlessly clean and comfortable. With nature and the water right outside the back door. Osprey's and coffee on the back porch watching the tide every morning was so very relaxing and just what my soul needed. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The host was pretty awesome too.

Cozy cabin, walking distance to everything the area has to offer. The covered porch overlooking the backyard was our favorite offering us water views and the many birds who made the waterfront home. We were fortunate enough to be there when the osprey were nest building. The host was very friendly and always available to assist.

Calm and relaxing stay. Nice and new private dock was great for fishing, relaxing and bird watching. Very quiet town so we were able to stay in and catch up.

Wonderful location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views were so relaxing and despite being on the main road it was surprisingly quiet and private. It was close to everything we needed and wanted.

I was born and raised in Cedar Key, I met Dave there in 1977. We got married in the Cedar Key Episcopal Church in 1989. We resided in Austin Texas, and owned and ran a automotive repair shop and a body shop for 25 years. We have two children that are young adults that love to come to Cedar Key and bring their friends. Their friends usually plan to only stay one week but end up staying 3 or 4 weeks because they are having such a great time! I sold the automotive shop in 2016, retired and now travel to Cedar Key, and numerous other wonderful locations to fish, eat good food and spend time with my friends and family.

We chose to buy a house in Cedar Key because we love the gulf coast, with all of its wildlife, great fishing, good seafood, and all the wonderful places to go that are nearby. The people there are so friendly. We have a lot of friends and family there. It is so different from our hectic lives in Austin. Once we get to Cedar Key, we turn off the computers, phones, and any other high-tech gadget we have, and start relaxing and trying to really reconnect with one another. The wonderful thing about being in Cedar Key is the time we really spend together there, the kids walk down to the City Park at the beach at night and play basketball, then come home and play board games for hours...you can hear their laughter next door. We sit out on the back porch and just swing and talk... sometimes we build a fire in the fire pit and have a wiener roast. Over the years as I have traveled I have met so many people that have been to Cedar Key and fell in love with the area and way of life. Everyone that vacationed in Cedar Key as children told me that their fondest memories of growing up or vacationing were from when they traveled to Cedar Key. We LOVE it too!!! And can't wait to retire in Cedar Key.

It is a short walk to downtown Cedar Key's restaurants, shopping, and fishing pier. We are direct across from the Cedar Key Marina where you can get all of your boating and fishing supplies. Enjoy the boat dock behind the house, it has a deck area that is great for watching the eastern sunrises. Bikes, kayaks, golf cart rentals, boat tours are all within walking distance. The fishing is terrific and so is the bird watching!! You can fish right behind our house and catch fish (dock closed for repairs). It is so beautiful out around the other islands. We go almost every year and tour the Old Lighthouse on Seahorse Key. The Pelicans are nesting then and when you go up in the lighthouse you can see hundreds of momma pelicans feeding their babies. We see manatees every year out around North Key, they are fascinating whether it is your first time or 10th time to see them. When we are coming in from fishing there are always dozens of porpoises that are feeding we stop and are amazed how close they will come up to the boat. You can almost touch them! You won't find a better place than Cedar Key for spectacular sunsets or sunrises!! Be sure to bring your camera! Also, bring your water shoes...during the full moon when there is the Spring tide, the tide goes REALLY low, which makes it perfect for walking out on the Sand Spit and collecting sand dollars. (Try not to step on them!) There are so many day trips to take near Cedar Key: Manatee and Fanning Springs, Suwanee River, Ichetucknee Springs, you will be amazed how truly beautiful...so much nature....so inexpensive!
