Great place

This place was great. Clean and great location. Plenty of amenities. Thank you for including a filtered water pitcher in the refrigerator. The little things make all the difference.

Great Location

I loved Mission Beach. Property was perfect location and worked fine for 2 of us to be comfortable. Perfect neighborhood for a no car vacation. Best food and fun is within easy walking distance.

Location location location

Phenomenal experience on Mission Beach - the location of this property is fantastic. Far enough away from Belmont Park for a peaceful stay but close enough to enjoy the fun! The property is small, being a studio, but perfectly sized for a single occupant or a couple. The space has all the amenities needed to enjoy your time on the beach. The parking location was somewhat challenging to find considering I showed up at night and was unfamiliar with the streets. A map would have been ideal to help locate this. Great stay overall and I look forward to returning to Mission Beach!

The location is great if you plan to spend all your time at the beach. I loved my daily runs on the boardwalk and the proximity to the bay. The property itself was awkward though, they layout is a mixture of longterm tenants and vacation renters. It's part of an apartment complex with limited privacy. It is updated but outdated all the same. It is hot and muggy in the unit with no AC. The hot water heater needs replacing and showers were cold.

Modern Studio with a Fantastic View of the Beach

We really enjoyed our month long stay in this beautiful modern studio just steps from the beach. It has floor to ceiling windows and a small balcony that not only give a sense of space but also allow for a spectacular view of the ocean. It is wonderful falling asleep listening to the waves. There is a fully functional modern kitchen with great appliances including a new oven. The full bath is spacious for a studio. There is a very comfortable queen sized Murphy bed. You are minutes to all San Diego has to offer (i.e., SeaWorld, Old Town, whale watching) if you can tear yourself from the beach. There are beach chairs, etc. and access to a gas barbecue, as well. It is a surprisingly quiet and relaxing place just a few steps from the sometimes busy ocean front walk. There are bike rentals, great restaurants, a charming bakery and coffee all within walking distance. The hosts, Steve and Dee, are very gracious, easily accessible and quick to respond to any issues that might arise. We hope to return again and again to this lovely place.

Enjoyed one stay but we're not coming back

Location and views were excellent. But there were several issues with the property. The electric space heater did not work and we needed to run the oven with the door open to heat the space. The sofa was not usable. The loft was filthy and not usable. The eyesore of an old TV rack on the wall needs to be removed. The bath tub is a safety issue as we both slipped getting in and out. Parking space description was inadequate (I was blocked in 3 times with folks parking illegally right next to me). There needs to be a map link to the parking space location and also the property location. We asked a lot of folks and even close neighbors did not know where it was.

Safety concerns terrible WiFi misleading info

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with rental properties. The parking info was terrible..way away from unit. Managers were hostile. When I arrived WiFi didn’t work so they wanted me to call the cable provider. When that was finally resolved the smart tv quit working. As I had been treated with little regard before I decided to just not have tv. There were open screws on the Murphy bed which gouged my leg numerous times . Because windows were open, flies got in, I looked for a fly swatter found one encrusted with food. The toaster didn’t work so I turned on the broiler. No heat came out only gas fumes. The bathtub is impossible for regular folks to get out of. The site advertised pool/spa no such thing. Because of the distant parking.. second floor walk up.. scary tub.. this should not be listed for older or disabled folks.

The unit was clean but smaller than we expected. It was warm inside when we arrived so we opened the 2 sliders on the ocean side. There are no other windows or doors to open, so there is no cross breeze. The 2-story ceiling makes the unit feel larger than it is. The balcony is just large enough to stand on. It would have been nice to have space to sit and enjoy the view. The is the 2nd building in, so this is an unobstructed view of the beach. The complete kitchen was nice to have. The unit has a murphy bed & a loft. The loft is accessible using a ladder but I felt it would have been dangerous to go up there & try to get back down, as the bottom of the ladder rests against the small couch that is in the unit. Plus if you are in the loft, you look straight down into the bathroom so anyone using the bathroom would have absolutely no privacy. During the second night of our stay the Murphy bed broke - the mattress fell through the frame at 1 a.m., so we cut our stay a day short becuase there was no way the handyman was going to fix the issue in a day. The hosts were quick to respond & did issue a refund for the 1 night. The bathroom shower is not the best design. It is a jacuzzi tub with a rain shower head and no shower curtain or door. The tub is deep & difficult to get into - the exposed access to the tub is small. - it is jammed into a nook. The only way to turn on the shower head is to be in the tub & be under it. I did like that we were so close to the beach.

Close enough to water to get the ocean breeze and sounds (we love to hear ocean waves at night), and far enough from boardwalk to not feel like there is a constant parade and lookie-loo's. And how sweet to be upstairs with high ceiling... Grill and lounge patio available on ground level was a nice addition. The room is VERY small (but we knew that)!. The murphy bed takes up most of the room when down, would have been nice to have some sort of table or surface coming off the cabinet when up. Lots of lovely features, decor, plenty of plates and cups in the kitchen, decent cooking supplies. Could use a few more towels/washcloths, maybe a set of wine glasses, some sort of work or eating table other than one tiny one (not big enough for two people to have laptops up at the same time). I loved the place for a week's vacation-- my partner found the bed to be too soft, but he's king size : )Steve and Dee were responsive, helpful. They also were kind enough to warn us (once I mentioned our septuagenarian status) that the tub is deep and the required step down situation is a bit difficult for folks with mobility issues. We were fine with that, but good to know...Thanks for non-stop views of the ocean.

Great location but disappointing on details

Advertised jetted tub didn’t work, window shade wouldn’t roll up, extremely minimal essential supplies. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 of us for 5 days and no tissues offered, ran out of hand soap in bathroom, we were asked to run dishwasher before checking out but there were no more dishwashing pods/liquid. No extra supplies anywhere in condo available for backup needs. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Perfect for couples

This place is perfect for couples. Nit big enough for more then 2 people. Parkimg isnt next to the studio apartment. But not far from it. Easy walking didtsnce. Just a block away. Ocean views from our balcony. We stayed in #7
