Good stay

Location was the best part of this hotel. Right at the heart of Waikiki. Across from great restaurants and a convenient shop. Valet parking available but curbside parking if you can find the space.

Best bang for your buck

If you’re staying in Hawaii long, plan do to all the outdoor activities and are on a budget - this is the place for you. They have everything you’ll need, are close to the strip and the beach and won’t break the bank.

No air conditioning

We booked this hotel specifically because it had air conditioning. We did not have air the entire time we stayed which was a big inconvenience and impacted our trip negatively. When we asked for a discount we were told to settle it at check out. On our checkout day the person at the desk was not helpful and stated she could only comp us 60 which is not adequate in my opinion. We could have stayed elsewhere at a place without air conditioning for way cheaper. We tried to contact management and they never returned our call. We just checked the bank account as well and they did not even comp us the 60. Highly disappointed. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

1 star because it was not sky view. AC was only blowing air, no cool air had to use a big fan all day and night. Cooking oven was convenient, other Cooking items rice cooker pots pans etc available on request

Bathroom looks dirty due to age. Needs a little remodeling otherwise staff is friendly. The location is perfect. You can walk to anything you need.

Stay was great. Was located in the heart of Waikiki. Cant ask for a better spot. Only issue is the parking. Coming back from late night excursions, they would be no availability in the parking garage. But other than that i had a good time.

Unkempt property

The building is very old and poorly kept. The AC was out, the room was hot and uncomfortable. They gave us a box fan which did little to help. The room was old, bathroom full of mold, shower was pealing tiles and paint. We had to sleep with the slider open to get relief from the heat, the noise of constant sirens, shouting, fighting in the streets was present all night. The front door of the lobby was kicked I. On the first night of. Our stay and stayed broken for 4 days. The staff was very friendly, that’s the only positive I can give this place

Great location, older hotel

The staff was amazing - friendly and helpful. The location is very close to everything you coule want with the International Market across the street. On the other hand, understand that it is an older hotel with the simplest of amenities.

we checked in for 4 night stay. we checked out within a couple of hours.Room we were allocated had heavily stained carpets. Holes in carpet. Holes in bedding.Very poor decorative repair. Furniture in poor condition. Louvred window did not open. Cooker rings - dirty. Shown 2 more rooms only slightly better. carpets in Common parts also dirty and generally in poor decorative repair. Ignore the photos on this listing. Its not as clean as photos suggest.

Great place for a stay

Located 1 block from the International Marketplace, and about equal distance between Queens beach and Fort DeRussy Park / Beach. Online said resort fee is 28, onsite i was charged 33 per night. Noise from street is low to moderate. I brought Mack earplugs so wasn't an issue.

Deceptive pictures, clean sheets but dirty room and cockroaches.

Pictures made the room look much bigger. Tight squeeze to get to the balcony. Room was dirty under the beds. Cockroaches in the room. Bathroom was dank and the shower was even worse. Valet parking even though it was 45 per day, the parking staff was AWESOME! and the car was safe. Oh well, live and learn!

Horrible - VRBO needs to refund

The property was dirty, sink did not drain, carpet was filthy, bathroom was patched all over, bugs in unclean cabinets, rust and water damage through our etc. I’m trying to get a refund and VRBO is claiming room looks like photos. I have been a loyal 25 yr VrBo customer and I am filing a complaint

Not as expected

This is a third party booking for Ohia Waikiki which has a 2 star rating on yelp. I have used vrbo for many years and have never had a bad experience. I now know to cross check postings because this place is not as depicted. We left halfway through our 6 night stay to find a cleaner place, and to the credit of RoomPicks, they did refund me half of my cost, but only after MUCH back and forth with vrbo and this agency which took time away from vacation. The rooms and hotel is not as modern as depicted. It was dingy—The walls were yellow, there was no overhead lighting, the carpet was unsightly and the bathroom horrendous. The shower had mold in every crevice-it’s bad when you have to wear shower shoes in a hotel. Also, the sheets were stained. The staff were kind for the most part, and we appreciated the daily snack pack provided. The water bottle filling machine was also a redeeming factor. It is true. You get what you pay for. If the price seems too good to be true, well it is. This place needs a complete overhaul.
