Love, love, love this beautiful, peaceful and well appointed lakehouse!Three full bathrooms to go with the three bedrooms was perfect for our three couples. The owners were super helpful making for an easy and smooth check-in, and were available if we needed anything. But we didn’t because everything was in place and the house was well supplied for cooking, relaxing and playing. Fabulous property and experience!

We loved the cabin on Mountain Island Lake. It is well furnished and the living/sleeping areas were perfect for us. It was a bonus to have the dock and be able to dock our boat right at the property for the week. The lake was not busy at all, even surprisingly over the holiday weekend. Meredith was wonderful to work with and she communicated quickly when we had questions. We would definitely stay at the cabin again when we are in the area.

Our family of 5 had a great time at the Mountain Island Lake Lodge! The kitchen was well stocked with appliances & cookware, and the beds were very comfortable. We all enjoyed the location right on the lake and had a great time using the kayaks and paddle boards. The property owners were very communicative with detailed instructions, and quick to respond to any questions or issues that we had. Would highly recommend for a family getaway - close enough to Charlotte but close to lots of nature preserves - best of both worlds!

We had a wonderful week at Mountain Island Lake Lodge! Meredith is very easy to work with and the house is very clean and inviting. It’s perfect for 3 couples or a family!

Fun and lovely place

This place had all the amenities for a fun family vacation with plenty of space, places to hang out, and things to do, from the kayaks to the yard games and the fire pit.

A great family trip right on the lake!

We visited with our two teens and two babies and it was perfect for everyone! The house was clean and beautiful and my teens loved the lake life for the week! We would definitely visit again!

Amazing Stay

This was a great vacation at a quiet, clean and comfortable house on the lake. We had everything we needed at the house to enjoy our stay. Plenty of space, cooking and dining utensils, outdoor activities and entertainment. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was ready as promised. A must stay if you are in the Charlotte area.

The house was well stocked with essentials and everything was easy to locate or had handy labels to help! The layout was perfect for two families with kids who could share a sleeping space. The beds were comfortable, great water pressure and the location was great. Getting what you needed was no more than 10-15 minutes away but once you were back at the cabin it felt like you were far away from city life. Hanging out by the lake and fire pit was just what we needed!

Great Getaway!

Great location and beautiful property. My dad loved being able to fish and loved the house as well as the rest of us! It made my trip special when I made his day. Making memories is such a blessing!!

Perfect place for fun

This house was absolutely perfect for us. All of the water toys were in great condition. It had a beautiful view, the house was clean, The communication was clear, and it was very well equipped. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

We come to this property annually and have been doing so for the last two years. The host is amazing, and provides us with quick communication and responses. This property is well stocked and immaculate! The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are perfect. We will continue to come to this property, not only because of the beautiful location, but because of this host and how well she keeps her property.

Race Weekend

3 couples came down for the World of Outlaws National Finals. The house was perfect for our group to enjoy the outdoor space and a quick 25 minute drive to the track. Accommodations were perfect for 3 couples! Thank you Meredith and Bryan

Making memories

Definitely would recommend. All 3 generations wore very happy. Beautiful cabin , house well equipped and outdoor activities for everyone. My 7 year old granddaughter was in heaven . Great place to get away to relax while having some fun. Good work out walking up from lake to the cabin. Close enough to stores and restaurants and 1/2 hr to beautiful Charlotte

Wonderful Vacation!

We absolutely enjoyed our time at the lake. The property exceeded our expectations. The house itself was welcoming and a great place to relax. We loved that there were kayaks and paddleboards for us to use. We also enjoyed the beanbag and putt-putt golf games. The dock was a great place to relax under the umbrella throughout the day. The lake never seemed too busy in this area, so it was mostly quiet and peaceful. The house is a short drive to several little towns where you can walk around or go to restaurants.

Loch Norman highland games

Chose this rental for the location. Perfect choice! The house is fabulous. Spotlessly clean. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Truly felt like staying at a friends home. Quiet neighborhood and great view from the deck. Meredith was very attentive, keeping in touch. Highly recommend!

Rough trip but smooth location

We had a few members of our group fall sick with Covid, but Meredith was very helpful with how quickly she communicated. Oh. I suggest you add lighting down at the dock. It's insanely dark at night and a little dangerous for boaters.
