If you are an equestrian wanting to ride in Big South Fork, this place has great horse facilities and is close to trails.

Peaceful retreat

This was our second time to stay at Riders Retreat. It's "our get away from it all" place. We love it.

Hiking with Helene

My friends and I had a fantastic trip despite dealing with the remnants of Helene…we were still able to get in several great hikes…Riders Retreat did not disappoint…well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and linens. The location was perfect as were the grounds…we will definitely return in the future!

Wonderful!!

Beautiful setting, so peaceful and secluded we loved it! The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay., the open floor plan and all the windows are awesome. The back deck was our favorite spot, we enjoyed our coffee and meals there, soaking up the peace and quiet and the beautiful view.

This is a beautiful property in Spruce Creek. The house is lovely and was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking our meals. Barn had large, matted stalls. Turn-out was big and convenient. Communication with the owner was easy. We had a rainy day and very much enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders. A 5 star stay !!

Secluded and peaceful

We had a great stay. We almost didn't book it due to it being a new listing, but glad we did. It was very peaceful and secluded. The house was clean. Just as the pictures show. Has everything you need: cooking, bedding, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, stalls for your horses, fenced area for your horses, big front deck, big back deck, plenty of seating, washer and dryer. It rained our whole trip so it was nice to hang out on porch and watch the hummingbirds after sunrise and sunset. There was a few things we sent to owner for suggestions but nothing that effected our stay. Would for sure stay again if we come back to this area. It's close to Pickett, Big South Fork, Obed, Jamestown, and Southeast Pack Trip if you don't have your own horse. Due plan on stopping at a store and bringing your own food if you are there early in the week as nothing is open until Thursday. All the places we wanted to try were closed the first part of the week :( but even with the rain we still had a great trip and did everything in the rain. If your there in June, check out the night hike at Pickett for the glowworm hike. There is also a dark sky observation field down the road as well, you will be amazed at the sky if you come from a big city with lots of light pollution (if the weather allows you to see it). Please consider staying at this place you won't regret it! Thanks Brian for sharing this home with us!

Wonderful property! The little horse communities around Jamestown are so peaceful and they hold some of the nicest people around. Great place, great hosts!

Our stay here was amazing. Very comfy and relaxing. I was taking pictures from the road and a mama bear and two babies ran across the road. It did surprise me, but it was an awesome experience. Highly recommend . Thank you. from WI
