This was the cleanest and best place that we have stayed in. We came ladt year and plan on coming every year and extending our stay from 1 week to 2 weeks.

A Perfect Beach Getaway for Our Family of Six!

We had a wonderful stay in San Diego! The location, price, service, and cleanliness were all phenomenal. Luxury Beach House #2 was a great fit for our family of six, with plenty of room for everyone to relax. The house was nicely stocked with everything we needed for a beach vacation, including beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, and an umbrella. Having all of that ready to go made our beach days so much easier. The BBQ was a great size and very clean, and we loved being able to cook and spend time together at the house. The showers had great water pressure, too, which we really appreciated when all six of us came back from the beach! We felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. We made wonderful family memories here and would absolutely stay again.

We would stay here again. Loved how close we were to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed for the whole week to make food and clean up. The house was stocked with plenty of beach gear. Wonderful stay.

Spent 7 days with my wife and 3 kids (late teens, early 20s). We all had a fantastic time. The unit looked just like the pictures, Check in was super easy. The owner showed up soon after we arrived. He was very helpful and super friendly. He answered questions and gave us tips on things to do and where to eat.The loaction was ideal. Walking distance to many restaurants and the grocery store.Parking was great. We had an assigned parking spot right behind the building.Beach chairs and an umbrella were right in our room. We also had access to boogie boards and beach toys.Inside, it was clean and very spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped. The couches and beds were comfortable and the TVs all worked well.We really enjoyed the patio. It had comfortable seating for lounging and eating. The Barbeque was clean and looked brand new. We would definitely stay here again.

Our host was very nice and attentive when issues arose. The condo is perfect for a messy, disorganized, sandy, fun filled location right on the ocean. The location was convenient and everything we needed was in walking distance. The view was spectacular! We overcame each issue, and treated the experience like camping. The appliances were a problem, we made due but the refrigerator temp was stuck on 37 and everything on the top two shelves froze food beyond use. The other constant struggle was zero storage place for beach equipment. Everything was inside with 8 of us and the space was tight. Lastly the sleeping pillows are old and foam chunks. We went and bought pillows and took them home. The condo has most everything we needed for showers and laundry. I love to cook and the kitchen has the basics, but the equipment is very used. It’s an old, rusty unit, but we didn’t care and appreciate that the upkeep was minimal. Next year we will move south to be in a swimming area versus a surfing spot. We had not considered where to be on the beach for the kids use of water. We had a great week and The Beach King has a great reputation.

Thank you for letting us know - we strive to keep up with top notch maintenance and the amount of sand that comes in especially into our washer/dryers is not easy. We plan are undertaking a huge remodel soon with sliding opening doors, private patio and more. Nothing beats our amazing location on the beach!

Such a Great Location

We had a great time staying here! The sleeping accomocations were perfect for our group. They even had extra roll out beds. We loved being right on the beach and having a kitchen to prepare our food. Would definately recommend this place.

Great place on the boardwalk!

We really enjoyed our stay, the location was great and within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, the pier and about a 20 minute walk to Belmont park. We loved being so close to the beach and really enjoyed the chairs, umbrellas and toys provided!

Baseball & beach

Super easy access to the beach. Boys loved playing baseball on the fields and wiffle ball on the beach. I think the sunsets out the front window was the best part.

Perfect location

This condo is the perfect location. Watch the sunrise just a couple blocks away on Mission Bay and watch the sunset out your window on the beach! Condo was clean and had all you need for cooking. We would totally stay here again!

Lovely property right on the beach

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful beach house. The location was perfect, close to everything. Parking is a little bit challenging if you have more than one car.

Family holidays

We are stay for three nights. We love location front beach. Overall everything is great but the towels look to old. Thank you for easy to communicate with management.

Great Location

Location can't be beat. Great for people watching and beach access. 2nd bathroom was not cleaned well or stocked with bath towels. Shower also leaks water every time you use it.

Thank you for the review - the extra towels are in the linen closet and we would have been happy to quickly repair any water leak? Why didn't you let us know?

Awesome location, great property.

We loved the location, right on the boardwalk and within walking distances to great food and coffee in PB. Parking included is a plus, but the spot is small and tight (like all parking in PB and Mission Beach.) Hot water was hard to come by in the showers and the beds were a little sandy upon checkin. It’s the beach, so we get it. Otherwise, comfortable spot with everything you need for a long weekend in San Diego. Recommend for sure.

Maurice Maio, a long time San Diego resident and well known successful businessman, started the San Diego Beach King Vacation Rental company in 2000. His first property was the Sleek Retreat purchased in 2000 which is the recipient of many awards including "House of the Year" and "HGTV House Hunter's On Vacation" series.

Mr. Maio took over the family plumbing, heating & air business at age 19 after his losing his father. Starting with 1 truck and no trades knowledge, the company grew to over 50 in less than 5 years and was modeled throughout the world thru the Maio Success System. Mr. Maio developed many innovated business practices and has hosted over 1200 seminars worldwide. He sold his companies to a wall street firm and began his vacation rental business.

Since it's inception, The San Diego Beach King has offered it's clients first class service at reasonable rental rates. Each property is carefully maintained and decorated with style. The Maio team runs smoothly and you'll see him smiling visiting the properties often. He loves Mission Beach, knows where to eat, where to rent, where to surf. Your vacation is his vacation and you'll see it when renting one of his properties that he owns or manages.
