5* chalet in great location

The Chalet was even better than the pictures with everything you could wants in a great location. Steve, Emma and Christian were great hosts and very informative. A lovely place to stay.

Great location, beautiful view, links with local businesses that give discounts and ski storage options, walking distance to the gondola, amazing facilities in the chalet (swimming pool, sauna), good communal area and well equipped kitchen, affordable price for the location, friendly owner, lively village with a local character.

Excellent chalet, great facilities, helpful hosts

Great chalet, lots of space, good kitchen, good facilities 10 min trek up the hill to the village is a challenge with skis and boots (we drove our gear up) but public lockers are available at €2/day, there may be lockers at the hire shops

Christian was at the property on arrival to give a guide tour. The property was as advertised and provided all the facilities we could have wished for. One or two minor problems were rectified within hours. The immediate area has facilities/activities for people of all ages and the commercial units in the village provided a variety of retail opportunities.

Beau chalet bien équipé et trés confortable. Cours de tennis juste à côté. Manquait néanmoins dans l'annonce le prix des prestations complémentaires l'été (draps, serviettes et ménage) la bonne adresse (celle indiqué est erronée). Et sur place, pas de billard dans la salle de jeu, malgré la photo le montrant à coté de la table de ping pong, ni de TV dans la pièce du bas (elle devait être remplacée dans la semaine mais personne n'est venu). Bel espace balnéo, chauffé et avec vue montagne, mais partagé avec un autre grand chalet et 2 appartements. Les infos transmises ne correspondaient pas au chalet loué ce qui a rendu notre arrivée un peu compliquée. Belle semaine entre amis au demeurant.

Magnifique logement très confortable et pratique. Propriétaire accueillant et discret. Une belle nature avec plein de jolis sentiers sur les hauteurs. Le séjour était super!

Chalet d'exception avec une gestion bancale

Le chalet est magnifique et les prestations haut de gamme! Lieu de vacances d'exception notamment grâce au complexe aquatique. Attention à la communication entre les différents gestionnaires/propriétaires qui a été probablement inexistante, et à la précision de l'annonce notamment sur le linge de maison. Nous ne raconterons pas notre "mésaventure" car tout s'est bien fini, malgré pas mal de stress au début du séjour...

Merci pour la belle critique du chalet - même si je pense que la critique est un peu sévère concernant le linge ! Habituellement, nous ne faisons la promotion des chalets que pendant l'hiver et c'est la première fois que nous le faisons, au nom du propriétaire, pour les mois d'été. Il y avait initialement une petite confusion entre nous quant à savoir si le ménage et linge était inclus dans le prix de la location d'été et malheureusement nous avons oublié de cliquer sur un petit onglet dans notre espace propriétaires sur le site VRBO pour indiquer que le linge n'était pas inclus dans le prix. Une fois que nous avons réalisé notre erreur, nous avons contacté Grégoire et lui avons dit que nous honorerions toujours la fourniture du linge (même s'il n'était pas réellement inclus dans le prix). Nous travaillons avec le propriétaire de chalet depuis plus de 25 ans maintenant, donc notre communication est généralement excellente, car nous sommes maintenant de bons amis !! Cet oubli ne se reproduira évidemment pas et nous sommes désolés pour tout stress causé.

Lovely chalet

We really enjoyed our stay at Sapiniere. The views are stunning and there are open fields behind so you can get out and walk or sledge really easily. BarrelliI Ski run a group of chalets with one for the staff so you have help close by but no-one living in your chalet which is perfect. The team are relaxed and friendly. The facilities are great, more than half our party are kids so having a play area, games room and pool was brilliant. The view from the pool is amazing. It would have been handy to have a box of toys for young children and something the team could provide very easily.. The food was very good but the children’s menu was a bit basic and it would have been nice to see more fruit and veg offered with a variation on ice cream for dessert. The town is pretty and has a few nice restaurants, supermarket, chemist etc. The walk to the lift is up a steep hill. There is a series of steps at the top making it a challenge with a pushchair. There was another way but it was apparently a half hour walk rather than 15 minutes( I didn’t try it). The skiing in Champagny is great and La Plagne is vast, we didn’t get close to exploring everything. The queues for the telecasting first thing are long but even though it was half term we found the slopes not overcrowded We had a fractured wrist and this was handled super quickly and easily at the local medical centre ( X-ray, cast and out in under half an hour!). The Barelli Ski team has relationship with the ski shop next to the lift where you can leave your skis ( you would not want to get them up and down that hill). Getting 5 adults and 6 kids fitted up in this tiny shop was pretty hideous and took over 2 hours. Overall, I’d rate this Chalet very highly and we look forward to visiting again Show less

Sunny, spacious savoyarde chalet

We had an amazing stay, the skiing conditions were perfect, the Barrelli Ski staff were delightful and the food absolutely delicious! We were very well looked after, nothing was too much trouble, just don't challenge Mike to a table tennis game!! The on site facilities are amazing, in particular the swimming pool with the incredible views across the valley. The ski hire shop Barrelli Ski recommended were also very good and the free overnight equipment storage makes walking to and from the chalet a piece of cake. The walk up hill in the mornings isn't too bad either, we treated it as a gentle muscle warm up and you have a little mountain stream to keep you company. The village is nice and compact and typically French - boulangeries and local artisan shops, a lovely old church with a leaning tower and plenty of bars to choose from - although we got to like the 'Code Bar' where a lot of the locals tended to hang out. The Timbale opposite was good for live music (although we got a Queen tribute act :) !!! They weren't that bad actually! The skiing was excellent, Champagny links directly in with the La Plagne ski area and you can be in La Plagne Centre in just 20 mins (although we preferred staying over in the Champagny sector as it was a lot less busy). You can also be at the top of the Roche de Mio by catching just 4 lifts starting from Champagny village. We felt it was very well conected and the nursary slopes for the little'uns well placed at the top of the gondola. Our kids also loved Marie, their ESF Instructor. We have had some dodgy instructors with the ESF over the years, but when we were booking we were informed the Champagny ESF was very good. And we agree! We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely recommend staying with Barrelli Ski to our friends and family. Hope to see you next year.

Paisible et bien équipé

Le chalet "sapinière" était parfaitement confortable pour 14 personnes. Bien équipé, propre et de bon goût, le chalet est au top. L'équipe de gestion nous a parfaitement bien accueilli et fût très sympathique.

Lovely Savoyard chalet with superb meals

Chalet Sapiniere is part of a small group of associated chalets which can be combined to provide extra accommodation if needed, as we did. Our group of 13 couldn't fit Sapiniere with the sleeping arrangements we required, but by also taking neighbouring Apartment Flocon we were very comfortable and could all fit round the table in Sapiniere for our meals. To access the skiing you have a 'warm up the muscles' walk to the gondola, picking up your hire skis, on the way, at the rental shop where you store boots and skis each day. Your lift passes are organised and waiting for you on arrival and all we had to do was add the extra insurance for slope emergencies. The food was tremendous; from hearty breakfasts to cake and tea for your return from the slopes to the superb evening meals, including very tasty alternatives for our 'veggie'. We were asked to vote for our favourite dishes at the end of our trip and the votes were fairly evenly spread! The wood burning fire in the seating area gave a cheery glow to add to the underfloor heating so toes warmed up nicely while having preprandial drinkies. Bedrooms are comfortable and having a tumble dryer and washing machine available is a useful addition. Sauna, hot tub and pool were used by some of our party and Steve tells me the 'bracing' temperature of the pool has been resolved but was great for after ski wind downs. Finally the staff. We had a warm welcome and introductions to all the 'saisoner/res'. Josh was running the show and nothing was too much trouble. The chefs, Torrie and Kiki produced the wonderful meals and cakes including my birthday cake! Bravo. This was our second visit to the complex and is not the last as we have booked again for next season!’

I can't wait to go back!

This chalet was perfect, I've been so impressed. Let's start with the location, it's less than a ten minute (downhill) walk from the ski hire shop/ restaurants, and lift. It looks over Savoie with breathing taking views from the two double sliding doors of the south facing rear of the chalet.Within 5 minutes is a delicious boulangerie, a SPA for essentials, and this chalet sits off the main road so it easy to find. The area was quiet, serene and very relaxing. A perfect getaway. Now for the chalet, it held 14 of us with such ease, not to mention with warmth and comfort. The beds were comfy and snug, just what we needed after a long day on the slopes. The chalet was warm, during the night we could even afford to open the window for some fresh air. The underfloor heating was an absolute joy – no tip toeing around cold floors. No thank you. With several bathrooms queuing was not a problem at all. The downstairs hosts a huge but snug seating area, which could entertain 14 of us , but also just two when needed. All whilst having the backdrop of the mountains from the huge windows onto the balcony. There is wi-fi to photo message envious pals back home of the digs, food, and the views. Adjacent to the sitting area is the dining area, which was able to effortlessly sit 14 around it's huge table. This leads me onto the food which was simply outstanding! 10/10. The day started with the table laid with fresh baguettes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs (to your preference), baked beans, butter, a gazillion slice of cheese, meaty stuff ( I ate veggie), cereals (muesli, cornflakes, choc cluster things – the lot), orange juice, apple juice, tea, coffee... you get my drift. It was plentiful and the perfect start to the day. As for dinner, well, that was something else. Where does one start? We kicked off with a different tasty starter every evening from blue cheese salad, to mushroom topped bruschetta (tomato for one person who politely declined mushrooms). Mains – well I ordered veggie, which is what I will comment on. I had salmon, trout, mussels, sea food stew, prawns, veggie lasagne– each meal was cooked and prepared beautifully. My meals were carefully prepared separately, and certainly not as an after thought. Finally, dessert, again was delicious, and as ever plentiful. There was not one mouthful of food that was not well received by anyone during this week. Finally, the crème de a cream was the pool downstairs, with breath taking alpine views.

Warm welcome - amazing team work

From the very start, Chalet Sapiniere and the amazing Barrelli Ski team worked hard to make each of us feel welcome, fully engaged in making our holiday easy and enjoyable, 100% achieved - Thank you Team Sapiniere. Our food was prepared and delivered professionally – can honestly say, there was not one choice on the menu that I didn’t like, dinner times were yummy (as were the daily cakes). The property was warm, cosy and well maintained. There was plenty of room for each of us. I really enjoyed relaxing in the Pool, Sauna and Hot Tub after a full day on the slopes. Chalet Sapiniere, is located in a great spot for easy access to all facilities in the town and the lift up to the slopes. Amazing team work - each member of the team brought an individual skill/approach to our holiday, yet, the whole team united to deliver fantastic service throughout - customer service was defiantly at the heart of what you do - a big thank you from me - you made our holiday even more enjoyable :)

A Fantastic Place To Be !!

What a fantastic place in a small village of Champagny en Vanoise!!! Chalet Sapiniere and Barrelli ski have been excellent which has made this years ski holiday with friends a memorable one!!! The hosts were kind, hard working and a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude which has made our stay a truly relaxing and enjoyable one. The food was great and the chalet itself was clean, tidy with a warm feel to it plus with the swimming pool and hot tub, it's made this a truly relaxing place to be after a great day of skiing!!! Would I go again....ABSOLUTELY!!! This has been our 2nd year and just keeps on getting better!!

Amazing ski holiday

Chalet Sappiniere and Barrelli Ski were great hosts for our ski holiday. We were a group of 14 adults and the chalet hosts could not have been more helpful. The food was great and we all had a great time. Would recommend the location and the ski company.

Laid back luxury with great skiing close by.

We had a great week skiing at Chalet Sapiniere over the Easter holidays. Owner and staff were friendly and helpful making sure all ran smoothly. With great facilities, a cosy atmosphere and astonishing views Champagny is hard to beat. It has a lovely, quiet ski area of it's own and a quick link - fast gondola, one run, one chair to La Plagne and all the Paradiski has to offer. We'll definitely be back!
