We had a great time at this location. The house had everything we needed including beach chairs and boggie boards. The beach across the street had a small beach that wasn't great for swimming but it was a great location to hangout and watch sunsets. We drove to several beaches near by for swimming and snorkling. In town we found good food and a grocery store to resupply some items we used up.

Just what we were looking for. The yard was spacious and well landscaped. The parking area was perfectly adequate. The bedrooms were nice and had lots of storage available. The bathroom was good sized and functional. The kitchen was well appointed.

If you don't enjoy tourist hotels and eating every meal in a restaurant, this place is for you. Very clean and very comfortable. Nicely appointed with a complete kitchen. The ocean is only a two minute walk away. We watched the sun set every evening and we're lulled to sleep every night by the sound of the waves. Swimming beaches and mountain hikes were only a short drive away as we're shopping opportunities. We look forward to staying here again.

Quiet, safe location

The house was full of amenities to make our stay for the week very comfortable. We love the location being on the less tourist side of the island and quick access to the beach.

Peaceful Cottage

Nice home set in a real neighborhood away from resorts with a very short walk to the beach. Perfect for our family.

The house was perfect for us. We absolutely loved the location. I enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of the typical tourist location. The ocean view and sunsets were beautiful! We were able to explore the whole island but at the end of the day, it was nice to return to a quiet home in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend staying here, the house had everything that we needed.

Kekaha stay

Vacation was a true Hawaiian experience away from the touristy towns. Home offered everything needed for a comfortable stay. Close to Waimea Canyon and steps from the ocean.

Classic Hawaiian Cottage

Very comfortable cottage on a private property. While there is some neighborhood noise, the advantage of being walking distance to a beautiful beach makes up for that. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped and the cottage stays cool with the numerous fans and vented windows. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just open your windows & hear the ocean

The place was clean, cozy & in a quiet neighborhood (except the roosters - but hey... it's Kauai). Away from the tourism & crowds. I loved that this place was minutes from the beach. I look forward to coming back to this place.

Better the second time

This is the second time that we have stayed in this house. It is clean, has everything you would need, quiet, and comfortable for a stay of a week or more. Kekaha is a great little town without the tourist stuff you see in other places. I can't recommend this house or this location enough.

Quiet Getaway near the Ocean

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint beach house. It's an older well lived in home. We felt relaxed and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking at home. The groundskeeper was friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay overall. The home was spacious, comfortable, and had a great location close to the beach. It was especially nice having enough space to spread out, and being able to walk to the nearby beach was a definite plus. The primary bedroom’s AC also worked very well, which we really appreciated.There were a few things that kept the stay from being perfect. The listing states that the home has air conditioning, but it does not specify that AC is only available in two bedrooms rather than throughout the home. Unfortunately, the AC in the guest bedroom with the two twin/oversized twin beds did not work at all. We tried running it to cool the room, but it remained very hot, so we ended up not using it. Since the rest of the home does not have AC, I think this would be helpful information for future guests to know before booking.There were also some areas that could use a little updating. The bathroom had quite a bit of rust around the tub overflow, and the tub surround could use some attention. I think updating that space would make an already nice home even better.The other concern was communication. While we were still staying at the property, we came back one day to find that all of the outdoor furniture from the porch had been moved inside. We had not been notified that anyone would be entering the property or that the furniture would be moved, and the way the furniture was placed made the home difficult to navigate while we were still staying there.

First Hawaii Experience

We had such an amazing time for our first time in Hawaii. This place was perfect for coming back after a long day and being able to relax. We loved having the washer/dryer and dishwasher and all of the amenities. it was a so close to a nice beach that we were able to take a short dive to. Would definitely love to come back!

Overall we loved it, manager was very nice and the property was great! It was in a bit more rural part of the island which we liked! But the down side is we had to drive a ways for a lot of the touristy kinds of locations. We didn’t mind though, Kekaha beach is seriously awesome and only like a 2 minute drive.

I just absolutely love this little cottage. It was perfect. I loved that. It was not in a busy area. It’s suited us perfectly.
