A Family Beach Holiday that surpasses all others

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been catching our breath as a family in Manzanita for over 20 years. Memories span from their children, their youth and now their young adult hood ... Ocean’s Doorstep was the ideal setting for us in this season of our life. The outdoor table saw us gathering every evening to feast together after surfing, hiking, beach-combing or strolling through town. This beach house was all we expected it to be ... we’re already hoping to return in a few years.

Location was great. House was cozy, but no working TV and other appliances were in need of repair.

Jennifer, We are so sorry that your stay was affected by these issues. The original TV had gone out before your arrival so no Apple TV was set up but other options were available. The TV will be replaced and reset with Apple TV this weekend. We had set up the loaner TV with Roku Live and all streaming options for your stay. We were not aware that you had issues with the loaner setup. The Dryer is being repaired on December 2nd. It is tough in our rural area due to the lack of options for repair companies so we are at the mercy of their schedules. We appreciate your understanding and we hope that you will come and stay with us again.

Manzanita getaway

We’ve stayed at a lot of places on the Oregon coast, but this ranks as one of the best. Beautiful beach great accommodations. Very clean and comfortable. Hot tub overlooking the ocean is the best. Easy walk to town. We couldn’t have asked for anymore.

Fantastic Location

Location is amazing, gorgeous views, path to beach right next door, hot tub is awesome, nicely protected deck so little wind. House is a little cold due to baseboard heating, all separated by rooms, and master bed is a king which is great, but seems rather worn as it has huge canyon in the middle. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place and would stay there again.

Wonderful Beachfront Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our two families had an amazing time at this house. The view is absolutely stunning, and being directly on the beach is a game changer. We were able to allow the kids to play in the sand and watch them from our deck. The hot tub and fire pit were loved by all. The house is charming and cozy, the kitchen is well stocked and this is the first time we’ve stayed in an air bnb with brand new appliances, which was a nice bonus as we love to cook. Our only critique would be the bathroom situation. The two toilets are separated by a flimsy sliding door, which doesn’t allow for much privacy. The smaller bathroom doesn’t have a sink. We made do, but would have been more comfortable with two entirely separate bathrooms.

Absolutely Delightful

Quite simply, one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed. It feels very much like a home, more than a rental, with charming little details (love the classic push-button cooktop controls) and an unbeatable view plus location. There's a very real sense that the owners want you to feel well cared for, with no shortage of towels, or soap, or any of the little things that can make or break a vacation. We truly enjoyed the kitchen, well equipped with important details like a microplane, cast iron skillets, quality cookware and knives, and an impressive coffeemaker. Sure, it costs more than a place a block or two back from the ocean, but in a place as charming as this you won't regret a single penny. Thank you for sharing this delightful place!

Nice stay.

Overall we had a nice stay here. The view from the deck is stunning and home is well equipped. While the description notes that the 3rd bedroom is in a cabana, it’s important to know that it’s detached and without a bathroom. Only one of the 2 bathrooms has a sink and overall the home would be very tight for more than 4. We went for a rainy 5 days and while the storm watching with the lovely wood stove would have been epic, sadly none of the living room seating faces the view (there’s a different sectional than is shown in pics). I’d suggest the owner swap out the 2 small hard benches for 4 comfy dining chairs. For that reason I’d opt for this home only for nicer weather when I could fully enjoy the deck.
