Pleasant Thanksgiving

The house was a great place to host friends and family for Thanksgiving. Large entertaining space and large kitchen made it very easy for friends and family to move around and not have to be in separate rooms on Thanksgiving Day.

Family vacation

I had a great time with my Adult children and grandchildren. The house was great you could all be together or you had separate spaces if you didn’t. I would rent again. Perfect location, the road was a little busy. Short walk to the ocean.

Our family reunion was so much more enjoyable by being able to all stay together. Southern Paws was exactly as described in the VRBO app. It was clean, with a well stocked kitchen, close to the beach and restaurants . The beds were so comfortable and the rec room was awesome for the teenagers in our group! We had an issue with the pool on the 1 st day of our vacation. The property manager responded quickly to my message and had the problem fixed that day, despite it being a Sunday. We would definitely rent this beautiful home again!

June OBX Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very large, spacious, clean home. We appreciated the amount of king sized beds that allowed all adults to have one as well as multiple beds for kids. The pool and hot tub area were very nice, we liked that it had locks on all the gates since we brought young children. Great location, loved being able to walk to the beach and ice cream. Overall the house was exactly what I anticipated from the photos and would stay there again.

Wow! This place exceeded our expectations. The pool was nice and warm. As a family traveling with young kids and pets we expect a little dirt or damage because they are unavoidable. Not here! An absolute kudos to the cleaning staff, you'd never know this place is so pet friendly. When we arrived my MIL was concerned that the road was a bit busy and we would have trouble crossing for the beach. Again, we never had an issue. The house is incredibly conveniently located for the beach and shopping. For the next visitors, when you're swimming in the pool and see the sign for Steamers I recommend you stop in because the food is great and the staff is friendly. Duck donuts, ice cream, coffee, pizza and a sit down restaurant all 3 minutes away. Our entire party was very happy with this stay. Having 5 rooms with king sized beds is hard to find and a amazing perk. AlsoThe hosts got back to us typically in minutes with any pre-trip questions. We look forward to being here again next year with the family. Thank you for an amazing week.

Wonderful Family Trip!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Southern Paws was the perfect house for our large family group. The walk to the beach wasn't too far and the beach on our side of the pier was much less crowded. The house accommodated our large group of 5 families and allowed for a great week of celebration of our dad's 80th as well as some other celebrations! We loved walking next door for coffee, ice cream & the escape room & even though it's not on the ocean, we could see the ocean from the upper levels of the house which just added to our enjoyment of the space! I would recommend this house for any large group or family group!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 13 people and there was plenty of room in the house. Having a pool and spa was a great add on too. We were close to the beach and that was a big factor to have. House was clean but the only negative was the Elevator would not stop at the 2nd floor, but we got over it.

Southern Paws

The house overall was perfect size with plenty of room to spread out for our large family. We loved everything about it except the way the yard is set up, when we got heavy rains it all ran into the pool and we were unable to use it the last two days of our trip. The pool company was amazing and did all they could to help us but said it was unsafe to swim in because of all the yard debris and chemicals they had to use. Other than that when we could use the pool it was perfect!
