We are disappointed to read this review, as it does not fully reflect either the property or our response during the stay. This is an older St. Simons beach house with character—not a newly remodeled home—and we do not agree that the entire house needs to be remodeled. The specific bathroom maintenance concern was a small corroded towel rack, which should be replaced. We also agree that the bushes should have been trimmed before arrival. The home receives regular treatment from a professional exterminator. Mosquitoes are common on St. Simons, particularly during the warmer months, and when the concern was reported, our management team responded by providing indoor bug zappers. We also followed up afterward. While our response may not have satisfied the guest, it is not accurate to state that there was no response. We take the accuracy of our listings seriously and will review the photographs for any updates that may be appropriate, but we do not believe “false advertising” is a fair characterization. We regret that this home was not the right fit for this family, but we stand by it as a charming older beach house in a desirable location just four houses from the beach.
