On a private lake with 7 bedrooms (three on suites). Five and a half bathrooms. 12 acre property includes a boat house with deck over the water and a pavilion with fireplace. Fishing kayaking swimming and an awesome hot tube.
Beyond that community amenities are also available but you should be aware that you will likely be confronted by hoa “karens” at the community beach, sand volleyball court and playground. This issue has gone before the Mississippi state Supreme Court and we won ( google LSPOA vs Clyde Esplin) karens still will be karens and it is best not to engage. Simply advise them that you are a tenant/resident and that they may contact the owner, wish them a good day and go about your enjoyment. We do collect video of illegal harassment if you are inclined to video any encounters.
I can send such a video if requested. We own a total of three properties on five lots in the Hoa. This property happens to sit astride the Hoa boundaries with the pavilion actually not even in the Hoa, so the Hoa has absolutely no say. Even setting aside our win at the Mississippi state Supreme Court. We especially encourage people of color, veterans, and first responders to stay with us. I am a veteran and first responder (air ambulance pilot). We believe the path we are pursuing with this property will help break down barriers, some of which are rather ugly. That part is not for everyone, most people just want to enjoy time on our private lake and that is our original motivation, and remains our primary purpose. We also love spending time on the lake with our kids, friends and family. This property has been a successful listing on another site for almost five years and we are now excited to be a part of vrbo. We love to travel ourselves and appreciate the beauty this earth has to be enjoyed. We love family gatherings and events.
Hattiesburg is a wonderful small city with a university, great restaurants and fun shopping. New Orleans is less than two hours away, Dauphin island Alabama has beautiful white sand beaches and is also less than two hours drive. We enjoy Pensacola as well which is 3.5 hours drive doable in a day for some.
