The Island Pines cabin on Lieutenant Island in Wellfleet is the perfect retreat for your stay on Cape Cod. Step inside, and you'll be greeted by an interior that exudes modern elegance. The open-concept living space is adorned with tasteful furnishings, blending contemporary design with elements inspired by the cabin's natural surroundings.
The gourmet kitchen is a chef's delight, equipped with top-of-the-line appliances such as the Italian induction oven and sleek Italian Carrara marble countertops. Retreat to the sumptuous bedrooms where cozy linens and tranquil forest views create a perfect haven. Outside, the deck offers a serene spot to enjoy your morning coffee or dine under the canopy of trees.

- Dog friendly with $100 fee (no cats, monkeys, birds, ferrets, turtles, rabbits, sloths, kimono dragons, chocolate Easter bunnies, or pet rocks. Just a dog that says woof)
- Central and mini-split combo AC and heat in all rooms
- Sonos sound system throughout (and portable for listening while on the deck too!)
- During the summer months there is nightly minimum stay (3 or 7 nights)
- Charcoal grill & outdoor dining furniture with additional lounge area on the deck

The island is accessed by a bridge and the road may become covered in water if the tide exceeds 10 feet. You will see island residents and guests pull over to the side of the road waiting for the tide to recede sometimes. Depending on how high the tide is, it may only be 30-50 minutes or so before the road is tide-free (again, it depends on the tide).
For example:
First high tide is at 2:47 am and is 10.73 ft/Second high tide is at 3:05 pm and is 10.95 ft
Residents and guests with plans at 3:00 pm would simply arrive or leave between 2:00/2:30. If they miss the window, they simply wait 30/45 minutes until the tide recedes off the road. It isn't a big deal and a part of island life. Do not drive through salt water.
