June Makena Vacay

This was our second time at this spot and we absolutely love it and will be back again. We stayed in other condos on Maui and this one is by far the best. I was in awe every time we walked through the front door. Breakfast and drinks on the Lanai while playing Crib, yahtzee and reading books were the favourite part of our vacation. Plus can never get enough swimming with turtles right in front of us and walking the pristine beach. Plus the pool and hot tub that are never busy. We walked one morning along the trail in from of The Four Seasons, Grand Wailea and the Fairmont and wondered why anyone would stay there where the beaches are busy and you are packed around the pool like sardines fighting for spot. The Makena Surf is a hidden amazing gem. Thank you so much!

Great unit, very clean, had plenty of supplies available to us. Would have liked to have had an upright vacuum so I could have vacuumed the carpeted areas. Great spot!

Gorgeous Views, Property, and Grounds of Complex

This Makena Surf condo is absolutely beautiful. The views of the water, the beautiful new pool, access to a gorgeous beach...all perfect. Jayne was super communicative and helpful. Her unit leaves you wanting for nothing. Fully stocked kitchen, ample towels, comfortable beds. We will be back! Thank you Jayne!!

Everything and more

This unit was everything we expected and more. The location, of course, was ideal and the unit itself was well outfitted with everything we needed to take full advantage of all that Makena has to offer. We literally had everything we needed for fun in the sun and cooking in the wonderful kitchen. I was especially grateful for the espresso machine!

Beautiful View!

This is a very quiet complex with lush landscaping. The view looking over the lava rocks and sandy beach was wonderful. We snorkled directly from the beach to the rocky area and saw many large and small turtles and pretty blue fish. Stunning sunsets and lots of whales. The condo was very clean and well stocked and Jayne was very accommodating and responsive. A relaxing vacation.Since we don't watch "regular" TV much, having smart TV's would have been nice. Also, the beds were way too soft for our backs. Thank you for sharing your pretty condo.

Beautiful condo with amazing views!

This is a lovely condo with amazing views from the balcony. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with everything you need to prepare a meal. Jayne was very responsive to our questions/needs. The beds were a little soft for my husband and me, but our daughter thought they were great. All in all, a really wonderful stay, and we've stayed in many condos at Makena Surf over the years.

Had an Amazing Stay!

This rental was amazing! Extremely clean & had everything we needed. The property was very quiet & great for families. The beach was really nice & you can see several turtles while snorkeling right there. We would definitely rent again.

Absolutely loved it

This condo was perfect for our family! We loved the location and amenities of Makena Surf -- especially the short swim to wonderful snorkeling. Everything was clean and the owners had thought of everything, even a garlic press in the kitchen, boogie boards, etc.! The beds are comfortable, the view is breathtaking, location of this condo is very quiet but central at the same time, and the owner, Jayne, is extremely helpful and responsive. We can't wait to come back some day!

Second Stay - Just as Amazing

This is our second stay at this property and it was just as amazing as the first time. The property manager is a dream to work with and the property is incredible. The location is incredible and the unit itself has everything that you'd want/need. We will definitely be back!

Great whale watching and snorkeling.

This property is gorgeous and located in an easy to reach spot. Beaches were great and the snorkeling is maybe the best spot in south Maui, right outside the property. Saw many whales from the lanai every day, we were there in March 2024. Owner and property manager had good communication. Would go back.

Wow what a fantastic place with stunning views. Amazing location right on the superb Makena beach and great facilities in the resort. Perfect snorkelling right there as well. Great communication with Jane the owner and everything exactly as described other than the actual place is even better than the pictures. Highly recommend.

Excellent Condo

This is a lovely unit with a great view and location. Literally a 60 second walk to one of the best beaches on Maui that was never crowded during our stay. Communication with owner was awesome. We will be back to stay here again.

Could not have asked for more with this Condo. It’s our new favorite place. We won’t go anywhere else on Maui and in fact will rent this exact unit again. Loved every minute of it.

Spring warm up

This two bedroom, two bathroom condo was nicely decorated with an amazing lanai view of the ocean, sunsets and plenty of whale watching. We enjoyed using the outside grill and the kitchen was well supplied for our cooking needs. The owner provided beach chairs, umbrellas and toys for kids with only a short walk to the wonderful Sandy beach. This property is amazing and we will stay at Makena Surf again.

Wonderful oceanfront condo

The beautiful oceanfront condo was a perfect place to relax for a week in Hawaii. The property was well stocked with everything we needed. The location is great, with direct beach access and close proximity to numerous restaurants. There is a walking path in front of all the beachfront resorts that we walked on daily. It’s a short drive to get there and is the most beautiful walk we’ve taken, overlooking the ocean and beaches. Whales were east to spot from the balcony. We had a couple minor issues that were immediately addressed. Great communication with the condo owner and the local property manager. I highly recommend the property.

Incredible unit and location

We absolutely loved this unit, with its breathtaking view of the ocean and nearby islands. We've stayed in a lot of nice places, but this one tops the list. The snorkeling right in front of the unit is phenomenal (turtles!), and the beach next to it provided perfect boogie boarding waves for our kids all week long. All viewable from the patio! The grounds at Makena Surf are gorgeous, with lovely pools and nice tennis courts. Everything is well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The unit is impeccably decorated, with beautiful and comfortable furniture throughout, and very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well stocked, right down to a griddle for pancakes. We ate a lot of meals at the condo, as the sunsets from the patio were so stunning that we really didn't want to leave at dinnertime. The unit has every beach amenity -- boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, plenty of towels. Jayne was very responsive and wonderful to communicate with. We really cannot say enough nice things about this unit and the owners. Thank you, Jayne! We have every intention of returning.

Expected more for the money

The location of this condo was wonderful, as was the view from the lanai. Great snorkeling right outside the condo. The living/dining areas were nice and well decorated. The lanai was wonderful. The kitchen cabinets had been repainted, but the appliances were outdated. The bedrooms were dark as were the bathrooms. Just seemed dreary. There was only one bar of soap between the two bathrooms. The smoke detector was laying on the bedroom dresser; the dishwasher wasn't working properly; and the master bath tub wouldn't drain well so one was left showering in several inches of water. Once we called the manager, someone came out and took care of this issues. Additionally, we were awakened every morning before 6 am with load stomping from the condo above, which went on throughout the day. All said, for the price we expected more. The pictures are nicer than the reality of this property.

Our family have explored many parts of the island and Makena is one of our favourite spots on the island. It is hard to find a property this close to the ocean with privacy, amazing views, and year round sunsets. The beach is secluded and beautiful, the snorkelling is amazing and turtles and whales are spotted often in the area.
