Gorgeous property with plenty of space and amenities. AvantStay host helped us secure a chartered pontoon and a grocery delivery service. Easy process for us to just show up and enjoy our stay.

Gorgeous property and view. Homes are spacious. Could use a little TLC (loose bathroom fixtures, poor water pressure, dips in the decking).

We had an amazing time at our avantstay property. 25 of us traveled 3 hours to what felt like a secluded island, kicking off our 45th high school class reunion. The space was exactly what we wanted. We arrived on Thursday and didn’t leave to go anywhere. Inside the home was great and very well kept. Our men fished and we enjoyed the outdoors and just being able to be together. We had just the right amount of entertainment. The Store delivery was so convenient and fast for those things we forgot to bring with us. Your property is beautiful and we will be booking again!

Our company recently held a corporate retreat at this beautiful lakefront property, and it exceeded every expectation. The setting was serene and picturesque—perfect for both relaxation and team-building activities. The houses were spacious, well-appointed, and offered stunning views of the water. The outdoor areas were ideal for group gatherings, from morning coffee on the deck to evenings around the fire. It was the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and inspiration—highly recommended for any corporate event or family getaway.

We had such a beautiful stay! Everything was just as it was stated and the communication/response with any concerns were addressed immediately. This property is absolutely amazing. It has stunning views of Lake Norman from every angle. The two houses share a common driveway and each house is huge with tons of rooms as well as excellent amenities. This is our second stay here in the past 5 years with between 18 to 24 adults. This year, we kayaked the lake, had corn hole tournaments outside in the yard, and used just about every table for a dinner or lunch. The downstairs basement rec room in the Grande house is the best. Pool, shuffle board, video games and a bar. The sunsets are amazing. We want to return. The communication with the host, Avantstay is excellent. I do not have any negatives whatsoever. There is starting to be some "wear and tear" on the house but that is to be expected in a rental property. We appreciated the addition of the two hot tubs even if we only used one of them once. Thank you so much

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review — and welcome back! It's wonderful to hear that your second stay with a large group lived up to the first, with kayaking on Lake Norman, cornhole tournaments, and shared meals across both houses. We're especially glad the Grande house basement rec room was a hit and that the sunsets and hot tubs added to the experience. Your kind words about communication mean a great deal, and we appreciate your understanding regarding the natural wear that comes with a well-loved property. We'd absolutely love to host your group for a third stay whenever you're ready to return!

Family reunion

The property was excellent for inside and outdoor activities for 25 people from age 8 to 80. We had both family and a couple friends from Ukraine. The kayaks were popular. So were the games in the game rooms, the fireplaces inside and out The kitchen was great. Some of the outside doors were unlocked when we arrived and we could not lock them when we left. That was true on both facilities. The main front doors unlocked and locked as they should.

We had a family reunion with 31 people. This was a great place to meet up. Convenience to the airport and major highways made getting there simple. There was something for everyone to enjoy from the sandy beach to the game room. The kitchen supplies were plentiful which made feeding everyone a breeze. The owners loved the label maker which made purringvthings back was so much easier. Highly recommend.

Beautiful 5 star property

24 adults came to this property to celebrate our 25th medical school reunion. These houses are absolutely gorgeous . The pictures do not do then justice. I personally stayed with 5 other couples in the Homestead but we spent most of our time outside or at the Grand House. The kitchen and main floor are massive and very well appointed. The outdoor porches and patios are gorgeous as well. We played corn hole, used the game room for hours and even rented a pontoon boat for the weekend. Our friends could not believe how gorgeous these houses are and requested that I book again ASAP. Phenomenal property. Book it. You will not regret it
